采用前驱体法制备Ti_(2)AlC多孔陶瓷预制体,通过辅助压力浸渗工艺制备出组织致密的三维网络相互贯通的Ti_(2)AlC/Mg基复合材料。利用扫描电镜和X射线衍射仪分析复合材料的微观组织和物相组成,使用机械振动分析仪测试复合材料阻尼性能。... 采用前驱体法制备Ti_(2)AlC多孔陶瓷预制体,通过辅助压力浸渗工艺制备出组织致密的三维网络相互贯通的Ti_(2)AlC/Mg基复合材料。利用扫描电镜和X射线衍射仪分析复合材料的微观组织和物相组成,使用机械振动分析仪测试复合材料阻尼性能。结果表明,复合材料具有宏观上及微观上双尺度的三维网络结构。恒定温度条件下,复合材料在1 Hz和10 Hz测试条件下的最高损耗正切值分别为0.13和0.15,相比于基体AZ91D镁合金分别提高了约30%和67%,其阻尼表现增强。恒定应变条件下,在最高测试温度时,复合材料出现最大损耗正切值。两种测试条件下,复合材料存储模量均高于基体AZ91D镁合金。从内耗值-存储模量二者平衡的角度来看,复合材料不仅具有更宽的应用温度范围,也具有更好的阻尼-强度平衡性。 展开更多

烧结温度对Cu-Cr2AlC复合材料组织及性能的影响

The effects of Sm2O2 doped CeO2 nano particles on mechanical properties of Ti3AlC2 were investigated. It was found that the presence of 20SDC nano particles in Ti3AlC2 was very effective to improve the mechanical properties of Ti3AlC2 without spoiling the unique characteristics of Ti3AlC2temary carbide. 展开更多

通过真空热压烧结方法制备Ni/Ti_(2)AlC复合材料,并对材料进行热处理,考察了两种不同热处理工艺对复合材料的显微组织和室温及800℃下摩擦学性能的影响.结果表明:烧结后,Ni/10%Ti_(2)AlC复合材料包含Ni基固溶体、TiC_(x)、Ni_(3)Al和少... 通过真空热压烧结方法制备Ni/Ti_(2)AlC复合材料,并对材料进行热处理,考察了两种不同热处理工艺对复合材料的显微组织和室温及800℃下摩擦学性能的影响.结果表明:烧结后,Ni/10%Ti_(2)AlC复合材料包含Ni基固溶体、TiC_(x)、Ni_(3)Al和少量Al_(2)O_(3),而Ni/50%Ti_(2)AlC主要由Ni_(2)TiAl、TiC_(x)、Ti_(3)NiAl_(2)C和少量Al_(2)O_(3)组成.分别于1200和1350℃热处理16 h后,Ni/10%Ti_(2)AlC中的Ni_(3)Al相和Ni/50%Ti_(2)AlC中的Ti_(3)NiAl_(2)C相消失.热处理导致TiC_(x)相的生长,复合材料显微组织得到优化,同时材料保持了高度致密性.热处理后,两种复合材料的维氏硬度下降,这主要归结于Ni_(3)Al强化相的消失和碳化物的长大.随着热处理温度的升高,室温下复合材料的磨损率降低,这主要归结于热处理优化了显微组织,提高了两相结合强度,进而抑制了TiC_(x)颗粒的脱出,减少了磨粒磨损的发生;800℃摩擦条件下,热处理前后,复合材料均表现出较低的摩擦系数和磨损率,这主要归结于高温下磨损表面形成的由TiO_(2)、NiO和NiTiO_(3)组成的润滑膜所起到的减摩抗磨作用,此外,热处理使得显微组织更均匀,更有利于磨损表面TiO_(2)和NiTiO_(3)润滑相的形成,对摩擦学性能有利. 展开更多

Superior strength-plasticity synergy in a heterogeneous lamellar Ti_(2)AlC/TiAl composite with unique interfacial microstructure

Improving the plasticity of TiAl alloys at room temperature has been a longstanding challenge for the de-velopment of next-generation aerospace engines.By adopting the nacre-like architecture design strategy,we have obtained a novel heterogeneous lamellar Ti_(2)AlC/TiAl composite with superior strength-plasticity synergy,i.e.,compressive strength of∼2065 MPa and fracture strain of∼27%.A combination of micropil-lar compression and large-scale atomistic simulation has revealed that the superior strength-plasticity synergy is attributed to the collaboration of Ti_(2)AlC reinforcement,lamellar architecture and heteroge-neous interface.More specifically,multiple deformation modes in Ti_(2)AlC,i.e.,basal-plane dislocations,atomic-scale ripples and kink bands,could be activated during the compression,thus promoting the plas-tic deformation capability of composite.Meanwhile,the lamellar architecture could not only induce sig-nificant stress redistribution and crack deflection between Ti_(2)AlC and TiAl,but also generate high-density SFs and DTs interactions in TiAl,leading to an improved strength and strain hardening ability.In addi-tion,profuse unique Ti_(2)AlC(1¯10¯3)/TiAl(111)interfaces in the composite could dramatically contribute to the strength and plasticity due to the interface-mediated dislocation nucleation and obstruction mecha-nisms.These findings offer a promising paradigm for tailoring microstructure of TiAl matrix composites with extraordinary strength and plasticity at ambient temperature. 展开更多

Textured Ti2AlC lamellar composites have been successfully fabricated by a new method in the present work.The composites exhibit high compressive strength of ca 2 GPa,fracture toughness of 8.5 MPa m1/2(//c-axis),flexural strength of 735 MPa(//c-axis)and high hardness of 7.9 GPa(//c-axis).The strengthening mechanisms were discussed.The sintering and densification process was investigated and crystal orientation and microstructure were studied by electron backscattered diffraction techniques.The synthesis temperature is reduced to 1200?C by using high surface-to-volume ratio Ti2AlC nano flakes.The Lotgering orientation factor of Ti2 AlC and Ti3 AlC2{00 l}planes in the textured top surface reaches 0.74 and 0.49,respectively.This new route may shed light on resolving the difficulties encountered in large scale fabrication of textured MAX phases. 展开更多

The in-situ incorporation of TiB_2 suppressed the anomalous rapid oxidation of the substrate Ti_3AlC_2 occurred near 600℃ by forming a protective B_2O_3 glass layer, and also improved the oxidation resistance of the MAX phase at intermediatetemperature. 展开更多

Presents the investigation of as cast microstructures of high temperature α+α 2 titanium alloys matrix composites reinforced by particles and fabricated using a reaction synthesis method by XRD, OM and SEM which reveals that the matrix transformed into single phase α 2 from two phases α+α 2 and reinforcing phases become Ti 3AlC and TiC from single phase TiC as C content increases to a critical value, and Ti 3AlC precipitates during solidification processing and points out that the morphologies of TiC and Ti 3AlC are of short lath shape and near spherical shape, respectively, and lattice parameters of matrix α 2 increase with the increasing of C content, but the lattice parameter of reinforcing phase TiC is lower than standard lattice parameter of TiC due to the C defection in TiC. 展开更多
