Curriculum Development and Teachers for Cultivating OECD Student Agency in Japan:From an Examination of Educational Thought,Educational System,History,and Contemporary Science and Mathematics Education Practices

The purpose of this paper is to examine the development of a curriculum in Japan to foster the agency(OECD Student Agency)necessary for children living in the future,as outlined in the OECD Education2030 Project,and the role of teachers who implement this curriculum.Therefore,I aim to achieve this goal by taking an overview of educational thought,educational systems and history,and examining several initiatives in the OECD Project and the situation of a Japanese high school that practices science and mathematics education.As a result of analyzing previous research and the narratives obtained from interviews with Teacher A(pseudonym)of a certain F High School(pseudonym),it was found that school education should not simply teach subjects,but should aim to enable student to help student exercise agency in the future.It was suggested that it is not necessary to add content to the curriculum,but rather to prepare to provide students with competencies that will enable them to use the content in various contexts,situations,and circumstances,suggesting that in order to discover such important competencies,teachers and other related parties are required to implement curricula that allow students to slowly and carefully explore the competencies surrounding the content,and to conceive and build curricula that include both hidden and intended curriculum that allows student to reflect on the curriculum they have achieved.

Curriculum Development and Instructional Design for “Industrial Robot Simulation Technology Training”based on Robot Studio

Taking the application of virtual simulation technology of industrial robot in teaching as the researchobject, a detailed research is conducted on the importance of course, principles of curriculum development,curriculum objectives, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching process and assessment methods in severalaspects. And the actual teaching for a semester according to this research, through the virtual simulationteaching, improved teaching efficiency, improved the industrial robot application level and ability of thestudents, reduced the equipment failure rate, and laid a solid foundation for the subsequent course.

Master Thesis Topics and Correlations With Curriculum Development

This paper analyzes a total of 294 master thesis topics for students at Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation （GSTI）, Beijing Foreign Studies University （BFSU） between years 2006-2010 and 160 topics at Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation （GIIT）, Shanghai International Studies University （SH1SU） between years 2007-2013, with the purpose of establishing correlations between thesis topics and curriculum development, comparing and contrasting the topics between BFSU and SHISU. The study is both quantitative and qualitative. Over the years students of BFSU and SHISU have shown a progress of possessing more and more appropriate methodological expertise in selecting research topics. More and more students have examined relatively new translation theories. We also see a change from picking overdone topics to more and more original topics. Our progress in no small part thanks to our administrative measures. As for GSTI of BFSU, however there is a demand for elective courses to cover areas such as interdisciplinary approaches to translation and multimedia, which are untouched in the current courses that focus on professional translation and interpretation. We might also want to sharpen students＇ language skill in providing purposefully language-rich texts for practices and allowing for more diversified options, such as introducing texts in world literature, ethnic English literature, drama, poetry, and non classics. The GSTI＇s long term cooperation with well-known organizations, both domestic and international, especially with United Nations at Geneva and New York, and European Union, offers students many on site training and field experiences. We might also want to introduce functional research methods, thus students can learn how to transform their field experiences into academic work.

The Composition and Promotion Strategy of Teachers'Curriculum Development Ability in Secondary Vocational Schools

The Roles of the Learner, Teacher and Institution in Curriculum Development in a Chinese EFL Learning Context

This paper attempts to identify the underlying principles of the New English Curriculum in China （2001）, based on which the roles of the learner, teacher, and institution that underpin the development of the new English curriculum in a secondary school in South-west China are critieaUy examined.

Ten Years’Chinese-Canadian Collaboration in Undergraduate Education in Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University of China:Curriculum Development

The Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University-Nova Scotia Agricultural College(FAFU-NSAC)2+2 undergraduate program initiated in 2003 is a model for creative collaboration between China and Canada in undergraduate education.This paper addresses the achievements of the program development and highlights the process for successful curriculum development in the joint program.The authors also discuss some issues and challenges related to the Chinese-Canadian experience in undergraduate education,and propose some recommendations for further collaborations including:enlarging the scale of qualified programs;proposing a systematic baseline to control the program at a macro-level;simplifying coordination procedures with foreign partners;and adjusting the emphasis of courses introduced by the cooperative partner from quantity to quality.

Research, Development and Practice of Primary School Problem-based Curriculum Based on Tianfu Culture

This article aims to combine the connotation of Tianfu culture with primary school problem-based learning based on Sichuan Tianfu culture,producing problem-based curriculum as the output.We explore problem-based curriculum development and practical methods based on primary education.It shows the distinctive and charming regional culture,representing the mutual respect and inclusiveness of Tianfu cultural bonds.It is also the innovative expression of the characteristic schoolbased curriculum of the elementary school.

Deconstruction and Reconstruction Attempts： The Curriculum of Turkish Ministry of National Education and the Sixth Grade English as a Foreign Language Program

Curriculum development efforts are widely investigated and studied by many researchers in the world. However, there are only few studies in number that specifically deal with curriculum development in the field of English language teaching and its implementation in the Turkish context. Hence, the present study was designed to investigate Turkish national education curriculum and the sixth grade EFL （English as a foreign language） curriculum in Turkey through analyzing the documents belong to Turkish MoNE （ministry of national education）. This study first presents what national education and the sixth grade EFL curriculum involve, and then investigates the drawbacks of them based on the predetermined criteria. Finally, this study concludes with suggestions to overcome the mentioned shortcomings.

A Discussion of Artificial Intelligence in Visual Art Education

Since ChatGPT emerged on November 30, 2022, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been increasingly discussed as a radical force that will change our world. People have become used to AI in which such ubiquitous technologies as Siri, Google, and Netflix deploy AI algorithms to answer questions, impart information, and provide recommendations. However, many individuals including originators and backers of AI have recently expressed grave concerns. In this paper, the authors will assess what is occurring with AI in Visual Arts Education, outline positives and negatives, and provide recommendations addressed specifically for teachers working in the field regarding emerging AI usage from kindergarten to grade twelve levels as well as in higher education.

Analysis of New Senior English for China Student’s Book 1

The Essence and Implementation of Ideological and Political Education within College English Curricula: A Grounded Theory Analysis

This study adopts the grounded theory approach to critically examine the essence and implementation of Ideological and Political Education(IPE)within college English curricula at Chinese Universities.We analyzed a corpus of 80 award-winning lesson plans from the“Teaching Star Competition”held by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press to establish specific constituents that comprise IPE and identify the instructional methodologies incorporated in the teaching process.The research shows that IPE strategically merges language proficiency training with civic education,aiming to cultivate a strong national identity,solid cultural pride,and global competencies.To be more detailed,the core categories of IPE encapsulate critical thinking,professional ethics,and cross-cultural communication skills,which are based on the innovative use of technological resources and adaptive pedagogical strategies.IPE has also elaborated on the comprehensive assessment mechanisms to measure cognitive and affective outcomes,making it a multidimensional activity.Following a three-stage coding process,this study aims to contribute to this discussion regarding ideological and political education integrated into Chinese higher education institutions.The finding and conclusion in this study drawn for future curriculum developments and reformulation of educational policy suggest ways IPE could better serve in fostering well-rounded individuals capable of contributing to national and global contexts.

基于学习力视角的高中数学课程建设

育人多样化、办学特色化是国内外高中教育改革的普遍趋势。学科课程建设是实现上述改革目标的关键。以数学学科为例,以学科学习力发展为基础,分析了学科本质、学生发展需求,并提出了高中数学课程的分层分类体系,即根据课程功能分为补差、基础、拓展与研究等四个层次的课程;根据学生发展现状,将补差层课程分为知识与经验类、思维与方法类、兴趣与价值类课程;根据学生发展倾向,将拓展层与研究层分为服务于有数学兴趣与研究志趣的学生和服务于数学兴趣不大与研究志趣不明显的学生等两大类课程。

义务教育阶段学生数据分析观念的评价框架建构

"数据分析观念"作为《义务教育数学课程标准(2011年版)》提出的10个核心概念之一,是学生在义务教育阶段学习统计与概率的核心目标.评价学生的数据分析观念的发展水平,是教育工作者在义务教育阶段数学课程与教学中不能回避的任务.基于对数据分析观念内涵的分析和国内外的相关研究成果的借鉴,建构了一个包括3个维度(对数据的意识与感悟,数据分析方法的意识与感悟,现实现象随机性的意识与感悟),每个维度包括由低到高的3或4个水平的评价框架.

国外地方课程开发机制的几类模式及其启示

地方课程开发机制主要涉及地方课程规划主体的认定,以及谁来编制、实施、管理与监督地方课程的问题。依此对国外地方课程开发机制进行梳理,主要有共创、整合、补充、桥梁四种模式。国外地方课程开发机制四类模式表现出的特点给我们在地方课程开发的诸多方面带来启示。

整合式教学法在儿科专业精神病学和发育行为儿科学教学中的探索与实践

目的探讨课程整合在儿科专业的精神病学和发育行为儿科学教学中的实践应用及效果。方法选取2016—2019年在上海交通大学医学院附属新华临床医学院学习的167名儿科专业方向的医学生为研究对象,进行精神病学和发育行为儿科学的教学。其中78名学生为常规教学组,采用以授课为基础的学习(lecture-based learning,LBL)模式进行教学;89名学生为整合教学组,采取以案例为基础的学习(case-based learning,CBL)模式结合以问题为基础的学习(problem-based learning,PBL)模式进行教学,且对两门课程相通的内容进行整合。2组学生学习完成后,通过专业考试成绩评价和临床教学质量调查,对教学实践进行反馈和评估。结果实施整合教学后,医学生对整合教育的知晓提升,对整合教学表现出正面的和肯定的评价。整合教学组学生精神病学和发育行为儿科学的考试成绩以及课程满意度均优于常规教学组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论课程整合教学有助于提高儿科专业医学生的学习积极性,有助其掌握精神病学和发育行为儿科学的专业知识,具有一定的可行性,可尝试在医学教学中推广。

高职课程发展性评价的实践与思考

根据高职院校内部保证体系诊断与改进工作的要求,针对在高职课程评价实践中的问题,提出了发展性课程评价的理念,并基于苏州市职业大学多年来在课程评价实践中的经验与做法,对发展性课程评价在导向性、非预期性和持续发展等方面进行了思考。

新型老年大学课程体系构建研究——以云南老年开放大学为例

老年大学是实现老年教育的重要载体,老年开放大学作为具有时代特色的新型老年大学,课程体系的构建不仅应符合老年人身心发展的特点,满足老年人的学习需求,还应按照老年教育发展目标,顺应社会发展要求。经过调研发现,云南老年开放大学还存在课程类型不够丰富、教学形式单一、学习平台的支持服务能力较弱等问题,根据老年教育相关理论,可通过“课程目标梯度化、课程组织结构立体化、课程实施多样化、课程评价多元化”等原则对课程体系进行完善和优化,进一步推动老年开放大学科学规范、可持续化发展。
