It showed that most of the substitute media could fit for the growth of the root system without disturbing the spatial development of the root. The root activities of the plants in substitute media were all higher or not significantly lower than that in the contrast peat moss (PM). The substitute media might not make adverse effects on the biosynthesis of chlorophyll of C. percicum leaves, and the nutrient components contained in the substitute media itself was none of the content of mineral elements in the leaves. The morphological indexes of C. percicum plants growing in the substitute media except in the powder of coconut coir (PCC) were all better than those in the contrast PM. The synthetically evaluation index of the plant showed that the sawdust, the powder of maize core, the powder of soybean stalk, the powder of peanut hull could take place the peat moss totally in C. percicum industrialization cultivation.展开更多

The effect of 2, 4-D on shoot regeneration was also studied. Either in media containing 2, 4-D or in media containing NAA, callus was observed, but the quality or quantity of callus induced by 2, 4-D or NAA were different. The callus induced by 2, 4-D was white, compact and having powerful multiplication capacity. The callus was inclined to browning then was poorly organogenetic. While the callus induced by NAA was yellowish in appearance. It was pultaceous and proliferated bradytelicly. The callus usually can give rise to many shoots. But the frequency of inducing callus of 2, 4-D is higher than that of NAA. The regenerative plantlets derived from the callus respectively induced by 2, 4-D or NAA were transferred into rooting medium. The frequency of rooting were no difference.展开更多

The results showed that the inbred progenies of B or M types were B or M types with a percentage of 100% while the progenies of F, H, X and L types had character segregations. The separa- tion law illustrated that leaf veins of Cyclamen Hederifolium were eontrolled by minor multiple genes and each locus was consisted of a pair of alleles, RL of Rn. RL was responsible for the green phenotype of leaves and RB was responsible for the silvery white phenotype of leaves, leaves were deep green when the genotype of the locus was RLRL ; leaves were green when the genotype was RLRB ; leaves were silvery white when the genotype was RBRB. The aggregafive pattern of each locus formed different leaf vein types. The gene control modes of leaf vein variations were the basis for the breeding of excellent varieties of Cyclamen Hederifolium.展开更多

DPPH, ABTS, β-carotene assays were carried out in antioxidant activity and total phenolic and flavonoid contents were tested in determination assay. 9 phenolic contents were determined by HPLC. Artemia salina was used in the cytotoxic effect. Larvicidal effect was investigated against Culex pipiens. Disc diffusion method was used in antimicrobial effect. The tuber part was found to be more toxic than the leaf part in the anthelmintic activity assay. The highest value obtained from the antioxidant activity experiment was observed with value of 86.73 ± 0.16 (%) in DPPH assay. The lowest LC50 value in larvicidal effect was determined 0.151 mg/mL after 72 hours. Consequently, there is need for further studies on the Cyclamen alpinum, which has the ability to fight against diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, etc.展开更多

The main results indicate that the heredity of Cyclamen persicum color follows both quantitative and qualitative hereditary regularity. All genes can be classified as two groups of the throat-gene and coronal-gene occupying different spots on the chromosome. The colored gene is the dominant gene, while the white gene is the recessive one. The gene groups and their quantity determine the color of cyclamen persicum. And sometimes the throat- gene and the coronal-gene take a recombination, forming a new type of flower.展开更多
