In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient power control scheme for device-to-device(D2D) communications underlaying cellular networks, where multiple D2D pairs reuse the same resource blocks allocated to one cellular user. Taking the maximum allowed transmit power and the minimum data rate requirement into consideration, we formulate the energy efficiency maximization problem as a non-concave fractional programming(FP) problem and then develop a two-loop iterative algorithm to solve it. In the outer loop, we adopt Dinkelbach method to equivalently transform the FP problem into a series of parametric subtractive-form problems, and in the inner loop we solve the parametric subtractive problems based on successive convex approximation and geometric programming method to obtain the solutions satisfying the KarushKuhn-Tucker conditions. Simulation results demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed scheme, and illustrate the impact of different parameters on system performance. 展开更多

After the extension of depth modeling mode 4(DMM-4)in 3D high efficiency video coding(3D-HEVC),the computational complexity increases sharply,which causes the real-time performance of video coding to be impacted.To reduce the computational complexity of DMM-4,a simplified hardware-friendly contour prediction algorithm is proposed in this paper.Based on the similarity between texture and depth map,the proposed algorithm directly codes depth blocks to calculate edge regions to reduce the number of reference blocks.Through the verification of the test sequence on HTM16.1,the proposed algorithm coding time is reduced by 9.42%compared with the original algorithm.To avoid the time consuming of serial coding on HTM,a parallelization design of the proposed algorithm based on reconfigurable array processor(DPR-CODEC)is proposed.The parallelization design reduces the storage access time,configuration time and saves the storage cost.Verified with the Xilinx Virtex 6 FPGA,experimental results show that parallelization design is capable of processing HD 1080p at a speed above 30 frames per second.Compared with the related work,the scheme reduces the LUTs by 42.3%,the REG by 85.5%and the hardware resources by 66.7%.The data loading speedup ratio of parallel scheme can reach 3.4539.On average,the different sized templates serial/parallel speedup ratio of encoding time can reach 2.446. 展开更多

A flexible flat torque converter was proposed to fulfill the requirement of miniaturization and power density maximization for automobiles.Constructed by two arcs joined by lines,the torus was designed directly from design path.The influence of flatness on the performance of the torque converter was evaluated.The software CFX and standard k-ε model were adopted to simulate the internal flow fields of the torque converter under different flatness ratios.The results indicated that the performance of the torque converter got worse as the flatness declined,but the capacity of pump increased.The efficiency and the torque ratio dropped slightly as the flatness ratio decreased.So the torque converter could be squashed appropriately to get high power density without too much efficiency sacrifice.But when the flatness ratio was below 0.2,there was a significant drop in the efficiency. 展开更多

Two-dimensional (2D) layered organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite (2D PVK) materials have beenrecently developed as a novel candidate for photovoltaic application with high stability and a maximumpower conversion efficiency of 12.5%. This article summarized these newly emerging 2D PVK materialsand their uses in solar cells. The structural, physical, and chemical properties as well as the classificationof 2D PVK materials are discussed. The photovoltaic performance parameters of various 2D perovsldtesolar cells (2D PSCs) are summarized and their device stability is compared with conventional 3Dperovskite solar cells (3D PSCs). It has been concluded that 2D PVKs show greater stability upon humidity,heat stress, and light intensity as compared to 3D analogues and act as a class of promising materials forapplication in solar cells. 展开更多
