MINIMIZERS OF L^(2)-SUBCRITICAL VARIATIONAL PROBLEMS WITH SPATIALLY DECAYING NONLINEARITIES IN BOUNDED DOMAINS

This paper is concerned with the minimizers of L^(2)-subcritical constraint variar tional problems with spatially decaying nonlinearities in a bounded domain Ω of R~N(N≥1).We prove that the problem admits minimizers for any M> 0.Moreover,the limiting behavior of minimizers as M→∞ is also analyzed rigorously.

Enhancing Relational Triple Extraction in Specific Domains:Semantic Enhancement and Synergy of Large Language Models and Small Pre-Trained Language Models

In the process of constructing domain-specific knowledge graphs,the task of relational triple extraction plays a critical role in transforming unstructured text into structured information.Existing relational triple extraction models facemultiple challenges when processing domain-specific data,including insufficient utilization of semantic interaction information between entities and relations,difficulties in handling challenging samples,and the scarcity of domain-specific datasets.To address these issues,our study introduces three innovative components:Relation semantic enhancement,data augmentation,and a voting strategy,all designed to significantly improve the model’s performance in tackling domain-specific relational triple extraction tasks.We first propose an innovative attention interaction module.This method significantly enhances the semantic interaction capabilities between entities and relations by integrating semantic information fromrelation labels.Second,we propose a voting strategy that effectively combines the strengths of large languagemodels(LLMs)and fine-tuned small pre-trained language models(SLMs)to reevaluate challenging samples,thereby improving the model’s adaptability in specific domains.Additionally,we explore the use of LLMs for data augmentation,aiming to generate domain-specific datasets to alleviate the scarcity of domain data.Experiments conducted on three domain-specific datasets demonstrate that our model outperforms existing comparative models in several aspects,with F1 scores exceeding the State of the Art models by 2%,1.6%,and 0.6%,respectively,validating the effectiveness and generalizability of our approach.

Research fronts and researchers of World Journal of Psychiatry in 2023: A visualization and analysis of mapping knowledge domains

BACKGROUND In the rapidly evolving landscape of psychiatric research,2023 marked another year of significant progress globally,with the World Journal of Psychiatry(WJP)experiencing notable expansion and influence.AIM To conduct a comprehensive visualization and analysis of the articles published in the WJP throughout 2023.By delving into these publications,the aim is to deter-mine the valuable insights that can illuminate pathways for future research endeavors in the field of psychiatry.METHODS A selection process led to the inclusion of 107 papers from the WJP published in 2023,forming the dataset for the analysis.Employing advanced visualization techniques,this study mapped the knowledge domains represented in these papers.RESULTS The findings revealed a prevalent focus on key topics such as depression,mental health,anxiety,schizophrenia,and the impact of coronavirus disease 2019.Additionally,through keyword clustering,it became evident that these papers were predominantly focused on exploring mental health disorders,depression,anxiety,schizophrenia,and related factors.Noteworthy contributions hailed authors in regions such as China,the United Kingdom,United States,and Turkey.Particularly,the paper garnered the highest number of citations,while the American Psychiatric Association was the most cited reference.CONCLUSION It is recommended that the WJP continue in its efforts to enhance the quality of papers published in the field of psychiatry.Additionally,there is a pressing need to delve into the potential applications of digital interventions and artificial intelligence within the discipline.

BIG HANKEL OPERATORS ON HARDY SPACES OF STRONGLY PSEUDOCONVEX DOMAINS

In this article,we investigate the(big) Hankel operator H_(f) on the Hardy spaces of bounded strongly pseudoconvex domains Ω in C^(n).We observe that H_(f ) is bounded on H~p(Ω)(1 <p <∞) if f belongs to BMO and we obtain some characterizations for Hf on H^(2)(Ω) of other pseudoconvex domains.In these arguments,Amar's L^(p)-estimations and Berndtsson's L^(2)-estimations for solutions of the ■_(b)-equation play a crucial role.In addition,we solve Gleason's problem for Hardy spaces H^(p)(Ω)(1 ≤p≤∞) of bounded strongly pseudoconvex domains.

Domain size and charge defects affecting the polarization switching of antiferroelectric domains

The switching behavior of antiferroelectric domain structures under the applied electric field is not fully understood.In this work,by using the phase field simulation,we have studied the polarization switching property of antiferroelectric domains.Our results indicate that the ferroelectric domains nucleate preferably at the boundaries of the antiferroelectric domains,and antiferroelectrics with larger initial domain sizes possess a higher coercive electric field as demonstrated by hysteresis loops.Moreover,we introduce charge defects into the sample and numerically investigate their influence.It is also shown that charge defects can induce local ferroelectric domains,which could suppress the saturation polarization and narrow the enclosed area of the hysteresis loop.Our results give insights into understanding the antiferroelectric phase transformation and optimizing the energy storage property in experiments.

IMPROVED REGULARITY OF HARMONIC DIFFEOMORPHIC EXTENSIONS ON QUASIHYPERBOLIC DOMAINS

Let X be a Jordan domain satisfying certain hyperbolic growth conditions.Assume that φ is a homeomorphism from the boundary ?X of X onto the unit circle.Denote by h the harmonic diffeomorphic extension of φ from X onto the unit disk.We establish the optimal Orlicz-Sobolev regularity and weighted Sobolev estimate of h.These generalize the Sobolev regularity of h in [A.Koski,J.Onninen,Sobolev homeomorphic extensions,J.Eur.Math.Soc.23(2021) 4065-4089,Theorem 3.1].

Structure and function of the membrane microdomains in osteoclasts

The cell membrane structure is closely related to the occurrence and progression of many metabolic bone diseases observed in the clinic and is an important target to the development of therapeutic strategies for these diseases.Strong experimental evidence supports the existence of membrane microdomains in osteoclasts(OCs).However,the potential membrane microdomains and the crucial mechanisms underlying their roles in OCs have not been fully characterized.Membrane microdomain components,such as scaffolding proteins and the actin cytoskeleton,as well as the roles of individual membrane proteins,need to be elucidated.In this review,we discuss the compositions and critical functions of membrane microdomains that determine the biological behavior of OCs through the three main stages of the OC life cycle.

A Prop erty of Convex Mappings on the Classical Domains

In this paper, we give a property of normalized biholomorphic convex mappings on the first, second and third classical domains: for any Z0 belongs to the classical domains,f maps each neighbourhood with the center Z0, which is contained in the classical domains,to a convex domain.

SCHWARZ-PICK ESTIMATES FOR BOUNDED HOLOMORPHIC FUNCTIONS ON CLASSICAL DOMAINS

In this paper, Schwarz-Pick estimates for high order Fr′echet derivatives of bounded holomorphic functions on three kinds of classical domains are presented. We generalize the early work on Schwarz-Pick estimates of higher order partial derivatives for bounded holomorphic functions on the disk and unit ball.

Community capacity domains of dengue prevention and control

Objective:To explore the meanings and domains for giving communities the capacity to be successful in dengue prevention and control.Methods:One hundred and twenty participants were purposely selected from 4 sub-districts of 4 provinces in Southern Thailand with a high dengue incidence.Sixty community leaders and sixty non-community leaders participated in this study.In-depth interviews(IDIs),as well as focus group discussions (FGDs) with tape-recorders and note-taking,were used to collect data.All records were transcribed verbatim and analyzed by using the Colaizzi method for content analysis.Results:The findings showed that people view the creation of a sustainable dengue community program as possible only with the support of each community in its entirety:"everyone,every sector,all participating,and with continuing activities." Community capacity for dengue prevention and control was dependent on ten domains:1) stakeholder participation, 2) community leadership,3) a core-activities group,4) a problem-solving needs assessment,5) dengue information transfer,6) resource mobilization,7 ) a sense of community for the dengue problem,8) a dengue network partnership,9) critical dengue situation-management,and 10) continuing dengue prevention and control activities.Conclusion:These community capacity domains can be developed into an assessment tool for the community capacity-building process.Community capacity domains require community leaders and non-community leaders to clarify dengue prevention and control assistance required.

LINEAR SINGULAR INTEGRAL EQUATION ON DOMAINS COMPOSED BY BALLS

For domains composed by balls in C^n, this paper studies the boundary behaviour of Cauchy type integrals with discrete holomorphic kernels and the corresponding linear singular integral equation on each piece of smooth lower dimensional edges on the boundary of the domain.

Improved control for distributed parameter systems with time-dependent spatial domains utilizing mobile sensor-actuator networks

A guidance policy for controller performance enhancement utilizing mobile sensor-actuator networks （MSANs） is proposed for a class of distributed parameter systems （DPSs）, which are governed by diffusion partial differential equations （PDEs） with time-dependent spatial domains. Several sufficient conditions for controller performance enhancement are presented. First, the infinite dimensional operator theory is used to derive an abstract evolution equation of the systems under some rational assumptions on the operators, and a static output feedback controller is designed to control the spatial process. Then, based on Lyapunov stability arguments, guidance policies for collocated and non-collocated MSANs are provided to enhance the performance of the proposed controller, which show that the time-dependent characteristic of the spatial domains can significantly affect the design of the mobile scheme. Finally, a simulation example illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed policy.

EXISTENCE AND NONEXISTENCE OF GLOBAL POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR DEGENERATE PARABOLIC EQUATIONS IN EXTERIOR DOMAINS

This article deals with the degenerate parabolic equations in exterior domains and with inhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. We obtain that pc = （σ ＋ m ）n / （ n-σ- 2 ） is its critical exponent provided max{-1, [ （1- m ）n- 2] / （ n ＋ l ） } 〈 σ 〈 n- 2. This critical exponent is not the same as that for the corresponding equations with the boundary value 0, but is more closely tied to the critical exponent of the elliptic type degenerate equations. Futhermore, we demonstrate that if max（1, σ ＋ m） 〈 p 〈 pc, then every positive solution of the equations blows up in finite time; whereas for p 〉 pc, the equations admit global positive solutions for some boundary values and initial data. Meantime, we also demonstrate that its positive solutions blow up in finite time provided n〈σ＋2.

Matrix-based method for solving decision domains of neighbourhood multigranulation decision-theoretic rough sets

It is more and more important to analyse and process complex data for gaining more valuable knowledge and making more accurate decisions.The multigranulation decision theory based on conditional probability and cost loss has the advantage of processing decision-making problems from multi-levels and multi-angles,and the neighbourhood rough set model(NRS)can facilitate the analysis and processing of numerical or mixed type data,and can address the limitation of multigranulation decision-theoretic rough sets(MG-DTRS),which is not easy to cope with complex data.Based on the in-depth study of hybrid-valued decision systems and MG-DTRS models,this study analysed neigh-bourhood MG-DTRS(NMG-DTRS)deeply by fusing MG-DTRS and NRS;a matrix-based approach for approximation sets of NMG-DTRS model was proposed on the basis of the matrix representations of concepts;the positive,boundary and negative domains were constructed from the matrix perspective,and the concept of positive decision recognition rate was introduced.Furthermore,the authors explored the related properties of NMG-DTRS model,and designed and described the corresponding solving algorithms in detail.Finally,some experimental results that were employed not only verified the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm,but also showed the relationship between the decision recognition rate and the granularity and threshold.

Glycosylation-independent binding to extracellular domains 11-13 of mannose-6-phosphate/insulin-like growth factor-2 receptor mediates the effects of soluble CREG on the phenotypic proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells

Background The present study aimed to investigate the detailed mode and specific sites for their binding as well as the functional relevance of this binding in the phenotypic proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells(SMCs). Methods CREG knocked-down SMCs were employed to evaluate the biological activity of wtCREG and mCREG.Expressions of SMC differentiation markers SM myosin heavy chain(SM-MHC),SM-actin,heavy caldesmon and myocardin were determined by Western blotting using specific antibodies. Cellular growth of SMCs was assessed by bromide dewuridine (BrdU) incorporation and cell cycle analysis on fluorescence-activated cell sorting(FACS).A solid-phase binding assay was used to study the binding of CREG to extracellular domains of M6P/IGF2R.The cellular co-localization of the two recombinant CREGs with M6P/IGF2R was detected on SMC surface by immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence analysis.Results The molecular weight of wtCREG was around 30 kD while that of the mCREG was～25 kD.Treatment of wtCREG with PNGase F reduced its molecular weight from～30 kD to～25 kD,whereas PNGase F treatment had no effect on the molecular weight of mCREG.Both wtCREG and mCREG proteins enhanced SMC differentiation,inhibited BrdU incorporation,and arrested cell cycle progression when added to the culture medium.In CREG knocked-down SMCs,the amount of CREG detected by immunoblotting in M6P/IGF2R immunoprecipitates was significantly reduced when compared to normal cells.Both recombinant CREGs co-immunoprecipitated with M6P/IGF2R, although slightly reduced amount of the mutant CREG was detected in M6P/IGF2R immunoprecipitates.Immunostaining revealed that His-tagged CREGs co-localized with IGF2R on the cell surface in a glycosylation-independent manner.In vitro binding assay showed that CREGs bound to M6P/ IGF2R extracellular domains 7-10 and 11-13 in a glycosylation -dependent and -independent manner,respectively.Further blocking experiments using soluble M6P/IGF2R fragments and M6P/IGF2R neutralizing antibody indicated that the biological activities of recombinant CREGs in SMC growth and the up-regulation of SMC differentiation markers were all abolished by treatment with the M6P/IGF2R neutralizing antibody. However,although the growth inhibitory effect of wtCREG was nearly abolished by D7-10 or D11-13,the effect of mCREG was only reversed by Dll-13,indicating that the binding to domains 11-13 is required for CREG to modulate the proliferation of SMCs.Conclusions These data suggest that solubleCREG proteins can exert their biological function via binding to the extracellular domains 7-10 and 11-13 of cell surface M6P/IGF2R in both a glycosylation-dependent and -independent manner.

Compactness of Composition Operators from the p-Bloch Space to the q-Bloch Space on the Classical Bounded Symmetric Domains

Increased leucine-rich repeats and immunoglobulin- like domains 1 expression enhances chemosensitivity in glioma

Leucine-rich repeats and immunoglobulin-like domains 1 （LRIG1） is an anti-oncogene. LRIG1 is correlated with Bcl-2 in ependymomas. Decreased Bcl-2 and manganese superoxide dismutase expression can improve the chemosensitivity of glioma. In the present study, a tissue microarray of human brain astrocytomas was constructed. To investigate the relationship of LRIG1 with Bcl-2 and manganese superoxide dismutase, LRIG1, Bcl-2 and manganese superoxide dismutase expression in our tissue microarray was determined using immunohistochemistry. In addition, we constructed the LRIG1-U251 cell line, and its responses to doxorubicin and temozolomide were detected using the MTT assay. Results showed that LRIG1 expression was significantly negatively correlated with Bcl-2 and manganese superoxide dismutase expression in glioma. Also, proliferation of LRIG1-U251 cells exposed to doxorubicin or temozolomide was significantly inhibited, i.e. in the LRIG1-U251 cell line, the chemosensitivity to doxorubicin and temozolomide was increased. This indicates that increased LRIG1 expression produces a chemosensitivity in glioma.

In this paper, we construct a new Roper-Suffridge extension operator Φn^r,β1,,βn（f）（z） = F（z） = （（rf（z1/r）/z1）^β1z1,（rf（z1/r）/z1）^β2z2,...,（rf（z1/r）/z1）^βnzn）＇,where f is a normalized locally biholomorphic function on the unit disc D, r = sup{｜z1｜ ： z =（z1, ···, zn） ∈Ω}, β1∈ [0, 1], 0 ≤βk≤β1, k = 2, ···, n, then we prove it can preserve the property of spirallikeness of type β, almost starlikeness of order α and starlikeness of orderα on bounded complete Reinhardt domain Ω, respectively.

THE EXISTENCE OF INFINITELY MANY SO UTIONS OF QUASILINEAR PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS IN UNBOUNDED DOMAINS

In this paper, we use the concentration-compactness principle together with the Mountain Pass Lemma to get the existence of nontrivial solutions and the existence of infinitely many solutions of the problem need not be compact operators from E to R~1.

HARDY'S INEQUALITIES WITH MAXIMIZERS FOR W^(1,p) FUNCTIONS ON BOUNDED STAR DOMAINS

With the help of a radially invariant vector field, we derive inequalities of the Hardy kind, with no boundary terms, for W^(1,p) functions on bounded star domains. Our results are not obtainable from the classical inequalities for W_0^(1,p) functions. Unlike in W_0^(1,p),our inequalities admit maximizers that we describe explicitly.
