Since the demand for high-capacity media that can record high-def inition movies for an extended time is increasing, HD DVD has been rapidly developed as the next-generation DVD. To achieve downsizing and low power consumption of the LSI, we developed a single-chip LSI which includes an HD DVD signal processing circuit, DVD/CD signal processing circuit and CPU. The new Digital Read Channel provides high readout performance for HD DVD signal which has high inter-symbol interference. A progressed ECC (Error Correction Code) Core contributes to the LSI downsizing.展开更多
