How Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks Can Support European Refractory Ecosystem in Context of The European Green Deal

The movement of the Iron&Steelmaking(I&S)industry towards Net-Zero emissions and digitalized processes through disruptive,breakthrough technologies will be achieved through the use of Hydrogen.The biggest challenge for the refractory industry is to continue to meet the performance expectations while,at the same time,moving to a more sustainable production direction.The complexity and urgency of these technological changes,highlighted by the European Green Deal,requires ambitious,international,interdisciplinary and intersectoral projects,bringing together institutes from across the global value chain,to carry out cutting edge research.The European Union,through its flagship doctoral training program,MSCA,has,and continues to support research and development as well as the promotion of the refractory industry in Europe.An introduction to two MSCA projects and some of the results achieved are highlighted within this article.

Solutions of the Growing Use of Anti-dumping Measures by Countries in Recent Decades

In recent decades, international trade has evolved into a complex system of trade barriers to ensure the protection of domestic industry and its workers interests. However as tariffs have fallen and international trade tends to be free trade, countries have found another way of protecting domestic industries from foreign competition—non-tariff protection. Among them anti-dumping is the most controversial subject that is involved in the foreign trade. This theme will analyze the reason and effect of growing use anti-dumping measures by countries in recent decades and try to give some possible solutions.

Role of mental health professionals in dealing with the stigma attached to COVID-19

The stigma associated with the disease may be as subtle as avoidance,or dramatic as physical aggression.COVID-19 has begun to cause social disruption by growing disease-related stigma and xenophobia against some cultural,national,racial or religious groups worldwide.1 People of East Asian origin and those with facial features like them,or those with a travel history to areas affected by the outbreak,are especially being subjected to xenophobia in personal contact and online threats.COVID-19 has arisen as an unknown and newly emerged highly contagious infection that has spread rapidly across the globe and is associated with high mortality,leading to fear of encountering those infected.2 Leaders across the world have taken strict measures such as lockdowns and shutdown of various vital services that have caused chaos in people’s lives and increased concerns about the disease.3 Box 1 lists the factors leading to stigmatisation towards those infected with COVID-19.

A new method is presented for dealing with asymmetrical Abel inversion in this paper.We separate the integrated quantity into odd and even parts using Yasutomo's method. The asymmetric local value is expressed as the product of a weight function and a symmetric local value. The symmetric distribution is expanded into Fourier-Bessel series. The coefficients of the series are determined by the use of a least-square-fitting method.

Protecting the rights and interests of workers and staff members constitutes an important aspect of China＇s human rights protection. At the time when the country is dealing with impacts of the global financial crisis, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions has been working fruitfully and effectively to accelerate economic and social development and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers, therefore making contributions to the protection of the rights and interests of Chinese workers. Effects of SBWP Jump-Dealing on China's Book Market from the Perspectives of Competition and Antimonopoly

With the rise of the Internet and E-commence,it has become common for consumers in the book,clothing,electronic appliances,furniture and cosmetic industries to engage in a phenomenon termed "store-browsing-web-purchasing"(SBWP).These are customers who tend to acquire service and information about particular products at traditional(brick and motor) retail stores but purchase them online at a lower price.This creates new issues and new perspectives to the science of law and economics.This paper addresses the issue of SBWP based on the industrial organization theory(especially the vertical dual-pricing system).It then endeavors to demonstrate the three "jump-dealing " theorems of SBWP from analyzing the business models,consumer purchasing patterns and price differences in distributing channels.Furthermore,we extrapolate the theory of jump-dealing and resale price maintenance(RPM) offsetting based on previous findings.The main conclusions are the following:if a company's RPM strategies substantially eliminate competition,then jump-dealing behavior from consumers should be encouraged.Conversely,if this jump-dealing behavior from consumers brings about anti-competition and free riding problems,then a company's RPM strategies should be exempted.

Although the benefits of China’s trade expansion have been distributed much more broadly than those of some early industrialized nations,China has become the primary target of anti-dumping activities.Being a new and relatively efficient new rival in the global market may be an important reason for this.On the other hand,China’s development stage and her trade structure also place her in a disadvantageous position when it comes to anti-dumping activities.

Jump-Dealing and Resale Price Maintenance:An Offsetting Theory and Its Policy Implications

Resale price maintenance(RPM) exerts both positive and negative influences on the market competition.Such duality and the consequent difficulties in presenting evidence have often become highly controversial issues in anti-monopoly law enforcement.We found that in reality,effects of jump-dealing and RPM can offset each other.This paper systematically proposed the offsetting theory of jump-dealing and RPM,and analyzed their policy implications for anti price monopoly,thus providing some simple principles and methods to the law enforcement against vertical price monopoly.This will not only reduce the possible "superfluous actions " in current law enforcement,but also help avoid compounded mistakes due to difficulties of enforcement.
