[Objective] The response of surface water resources on climate changes was studied.[Method] By dint of monthly average temperature and precipitation in 45 meteorological stations in Jilin Province from 1960 to 2000,mo...[Objective] The response of surface water resources on climate changes was studied.[Method] By dint of monthly average temperature and precipitation in 45 meteorological stations in Jilin Province from 1960 to 2000,monthly runoff in 56 hydrological stations in Songhuajiang and Liaohe region,the surface runoff change and the response of surface water resources to climate change in 41 years were expounded.[Result] The runoff of Songliao region was limited during 1960s and 1970s.It began to increase slowly in the early 1980s.Since 1990s,there were distinct fluctuation of annual runoff and it was decreasing in general.EOF analysis suggested that the runoff of Songliao region was decreasing gradually from south to the north.The central gradient was small and runoff was evenly distributed.MK test result showed that the annual runoff in Songliao region had large fluctuation before 1980s and after 1990s.The response of surface runoff on climate and precipitation changes in Jilin Province was distinct and had strong relevance as well as certain lagging.Based on the analysis of the relation of rivers runoff and meteorological elements changes,statistics forecast model between river surface runoff and meteorological elements was constructed.Runoff prediction value and measured value had good relation.The corresponding river surface runoff changes can be assessed based on the changes of meteorological elements.[Conclusion] The study provided theoretical basis for the development and utilization of surface water resources in Jilin.展开更多
According to the multi-time-scale characteristics of power generation and demand-side response(DR)resources,as well as the improvement of prediction accuracy along with the approaching operating point,a rolling peak s...According to the multi-time-scale characteristics of power generation and demand-side response(DR)resources,as well as the improvement of prediction accuracy along with the approaching operating point,a rolling peak shaving optimization model consisting of three different time scales has been proposed.The proposed peak shaving optimization model considers not only the generation resources of two different response speeds but also the two different DR resources and determines each unit combination,generation power,and demand response strategy on different time scales so as to participate in the peaking of the power system by taking full advantage of the fast response characteristics of the concentrating solar power(CSP).At the same time,in order to improve the accuracy of the scheduling results,the combination of the day-ahead peak shaving phase with scenario-based stochastic programming can further reduce the influence of wind power prediction errors on scheduling results.The testing results have shown that by optimizing the allocation of scheduling resources in each phase,it can effectively reduce the number of starts and stops of thermal power units and improve the economic efficiency of system operation.The spinning reserve capacity is reduced,and the effectiveness of the peak shaving strategy is verified.展开更多

In this paper, an optimal VPP operating problem is used to optimize the charging/discharging schedule of each BESS and the DR scheme with the objective to maximize the benefit by regulating the supplied powers over daily 24 hours. The proposed solution method is composed of an iterative dynamic programming optimal BESS schedule approach and a particle swarm optimization based (PSO-based) DR scheme approach. The two approaches are executed alternatively until the minimum elec-tricity cost of the whole day is obtained. The validity of the proposed method was confirmed with the obviously decreased supplied powers in the peak-load hours and the largely reduced electricity cost.展开更多

This paper presents contingencies control demand and response for micro-grid. The main advantage of implementation of demand and response algorithms in Micro-grids provides reliable power supplies to consumers. The proposed micro-grid TCP/IP setup provides a chance to respond the contingencies to recover the shed to active condition. Benefited from the existing emergency medical resources in the regional cooperation and the grid management theory, this paper establishes the emergency rescue mechanism featuring'information exchange, resource sharing, and authorized command' by analyzing the shortcomings of current emergency management mechanism in the border areas around Yinchuan. A linkage mechanism should also be set up between two parties (multiple parties) in the border areas for a better command and dispatch platform, as well as drawing up emergency response plan and organizing trans-regional emergency drills. The solution lies in the more efficient treatment of emergency response in border areas. Taking response time for emergency call as the sole criterion, this paper suggests on the establishment of'integrated, coordinated, linked, and effective' medical rescue mode of regional emergency response linkage in a multi-level and grid-based way and an emergency rescue mechanism with characteristics of'information exchange, resource sharing, and authorized command'. It is of great significance to improve emergency response time in the border areas around Yinchuan and utilization of emergency rescue resources, to enhance coordinating work of emergency systems in different administrative regions, and to achieve an emergency response network seamlessly connected with different regions.展开更多
More demand-side flexible resources(DFRs)are participating in the frequency regulation of renewable power systems,whose heterogeneous characteristics have a significant impact on the system frequency response.Conseque...More demand-side flexible resources(DFRs)are participating in the frequency regulation of renewable power systems,whose heterogeneous characteristics have a significant impact on the system frequency response.Consequently,selecting suitable DFRs poses a formidable challenge for independent system operators(ISO).In this paper,a reserve allocation methodology for heterogeneous DFRs is proposed to manage the risk of power system frequency.Firstly,a performance curve is developed to describe the cost,capacity,and response speed of DFRs.Moreover,a clustering method for multiple distributed DFRs is conducted to calculate the aggregated performance curves and uncertainty coefficients.Then,the frequency security criterion considering DFRs’performance is constructed,whose linearity makes it can be easily coupled into the system scheduling model and solved.Furthermore,a risk management model for DFRs considering frequency-chance-constraint is proposed to make a trade-off between cost and frequency security.Finally,the model is transformed into mixed integer second-order cone programming(MISOCP)and solved by the commercial solver.The proposed model is validated by the IEEE 30 and IEEE 118 bus systems.展开更多

The Yangtze River Basin’s water resource utilization efficiency(WUE)and scientific and technological innovation level(STI)are closely connected,and the comprehension of these relationships will help to improve WUE an...The Yangtze River Basin’s water resource utilization efficiency(WUE)and scientific and technological innovation level(STI)are closely connected,and the comprehension of these relationships will help to improve WUE and promote local economic growth and conservation of water.This study uses 19 provinces and regions along the Yangtze River’s mainstream from 2009 to 2019 as its research objects and uses a Vector Auto Regression(VAR)model to quantitatively evaluate the spatiotemporal evolution of the coupling coordination degree(CCD)between the two subsystems of WUE and STI.The findings show that:(1)Both the WUE and STI in the Yangtze River Basin showed an upward trend during the study period,but the STI effectively lagged behind the WUE;(2)The CCD of the two subsystems generally showed an upward trend,and the CCD of each province was improved to varying degrees,but the majority of regions did not develop a high-quality coordination stage;(3)The CCD of the two systems displayed apparent positive spatial autocorrelation in the spatial correlation pattern,and there were only two types:high-high(H-H)urbanization areas and low-low(L-L)urbanization areas;(4)The STI showed no obvious response to the impact of the WUE,while the WUE responded greatly to the STI,and both of them were highly dependent on themselves.Optimizing their interaction mechanisms should be the primary focus of high-quality development in the basin of the Yangtze River in the future.These results give the government an empirical basis to enhance the WUE and promote regional sustainable development.展开更多
An effective modeling and optimization method,which takes into account source-load-storage coordination,and full-time collaborative optimization within and outside micro-grids,is introduced.Considering the operational...An effective modeling and optimization method,which takes into account source-load-storage coordination,and full-time collaborative optimization within and outside micro-grids,is introduced.Considering the operational conditions of various resources and their interactions,an energy management model for microgrids is proposed aiming at maximization of renewable energy utilization and minimization of overall system costs.The model is suitable for both real-time pricing and time-of-use mechanisms.In microgrids,demand response and economic energy storage dispatch are introduced to enhance selfcoordination and self-balancing ability among different resources.Depending on whether there is still an imbalance between supply and demand after coordination within a niicrogrid,trade between it and external microgrids are optimized in a orderly manner by considering different transaction prices and usage rights.Finally,three different schemes are designed,where the Lagrangian multiplier method as well as a co-evolution algorithm are used to solve and analyze different examples,verifying the reliability and validity of the method proposed in this paper.展开更多
Due to the uncertainty and fluctuation of distributed generation(DG)and load,the operation of active distribution network(ADN)is affected by multi-dimension factors which are described by massive operation scenarios.E...Due to the uncertainty and fluctuation of distributed generation(DG)and load,the operation of active distribution network(ADN)is affected by multi-dimension factors which are described by massive operation scenarios.Efficient and accurate screening of severely restricted scenarios(SRSs)has become a new challenge in ADN planning.In this paper,a novel bi-level coordinated planning model which combines the short-time-scale operation problem with the long-time-scale planning problem is proposed.At the upper level,the demand response(DR)resource,an effective non-component planning resource characterized by low capacity price,high energy price,and short contract term,is co-optimized with the configuration of lines and energy storage systems(ESSs)to achieve the economic trade-off between the investment cost and the operation cost under SRSs.At the lower level,with the planning scheme obtained from the upper level,massive operation problems are optimized to minimize the daily operation cost;and the SRSs are provided to the upper level through a shadow-price-based scenario screening method,which simulates the planning information(i.e.,the restricted degrees of operation scenarios)feedback process from ADN operators to ADN planners.Case studies on a 62-node distribution system in Jianshan New District,Zhejiang Province,China,illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed bi-level coordinated planning model considering DR resources and SRSs.展开更多

Due to the loss of synchronous machines and its frequency control mechanisms, the gradual evolution leads to critical challenges in maintaining the frequency stability. Under post-fault condition, the wind power generation has a slow recovery due to the fault ride-through(FRT) control strategy and may cause a larger frequency deviation due to the power imbalance between the supply and demand. Then, the impacts of the frequency deviations would further cause inaccuracy and instability in the control system for wind power generation. Considering the long parking time of electric vehicles(EVs), the demand-side response is provided to support the power grid via load-to-grid technology. Thus, a power-balancing coordinated control strategy of the wind power and the demand-side response is developed. It can significantly mitigate the power imbalance, thereby resulting in the enhanced frequency stability. Finally, the simulation results are provided to validate the power-balancing coordinated control strategy.展开更多

The importance of human resources in the healthcare industry cannot be overstated, with benefits ranging from providing an orderly and effectively run facility to equipping staff with the most accurate and up-to-date training. Proper human resources management is critical in providing high-quality health care. A refocus on human resources management in healthcare requires more research to develop new policies. Effective human resources management strategies are greatly needed to achieve better outcomes and access to health care worldwide. Methods: This study leveraged NOI Polls census data on Health Facility Assessment for Lagos State. One thousand two hundred fifty-six health care facilities were assessed in Lagos State;numbers of Health workers were documented alongside their area of specialization. Also, demographic characterizations of the facilities, such as LGA, Ownership type, Facility Level Care, and Category of the facility, were also documented. Descriptive statistics alongside cross tabulation was done to present the various area of specialization of the health workers. Multiple response analysis was done to understand the distribution of human resources across the health facilities. At the same time, Chi-square and correlation tests were conducted to test the independence of various categories recorded while understanding the relationships among selected specialties. Results: The study revealed that Nurses were the most common health specialist in the Lagos State health facilities. At the same time, Gynecologists and General surgeons are the two medical specialists mostly common in health facilities. Midwives are the second most common health specialist working full time, while Generalist medical doctors make up the top three health specialists working full time. Nurses and Midwives had the highest number in Lagos State, while Pulmonologists were currently the lowest human resource available in Lagos State health care system. It was also noted that health facility distribution across Lagos’s urban and rural areas was even. In contrast, distribution based on other factors such as ownership type, Facility level of care, and facility category was slightly skewed. Conclusion: The distribution of health workers in health facility across LGA in Lagos State depend on Ownership type, Facility level of care, and category of the facility.展开更多
Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)is proposed to solve the needs of Inter-net of Things(IoT)users for high resource utilization,high reliability and low latency of service requests.However,the backup virtual machine is idle w...Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)is proposed to solve the needs of Inter-net of Things(IoT)users for high resource utilization,high reliability and low latency of service requests.However,the backup virtual machine is idle when its primary virtual machine is running normally,which will waste resources.Overbooking the backup virtual machine under the above circumstances can effectively improve resource utilization.First,these virtual machines are deployed into slots randomly,and then some tasks with cooperative relationship are off-loaded to virtual machines for processing.Different deployment locations have different resource utilization and average service response time.We want tofind a balanced solution that minimizes the average service response time of the IoT application while maximizing resource utilization.In this paper,we propose a task scheduler and exploit a Task Deployment Algorithm(TDA)to obtain an optimal virtual machine deployment scheme.Finally,the simulation results show that the TDA can significantly increase the resource utilization of the system,while redu-cing the average service response time of the application by comparing TDA with the other two classical methods.The experimental results confirm that the perfor-mance of TDA is better than that of other two methods.展开更多

This study method was qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive (Richardson, 1999). The data were collected by interviews with leaders of national and international chain operating hotel companies in Sao Luis (June 2013), using the technique of content analysis. The theoretical framework was developed upon the concept of human resources management (HRM) and CSR. The research findings confirm that CSR is considered as a business strategy and that it contributes to personal and professional fulfillment of employees due to the offer of some benefits, such as remuneration and career plans, pleasurable work environments, awards, and recognition. Beyond that, findings also revealed that the hotels develop CSR activities, particularly focusing on employees, in order to provide guests' satisfaction. The main conclusions are: (1) Leadership is essential to build a culture that leads to a collective involvement in CSR actions; and (2) HRM is considered as a strategic tool for the development of CSR.展开更多

文摘Grassland resource governance is an important part of ecological civilization construction,and it directly af‐fects grassland governance performance.This study deploys principal-agent theory and uses social network analysis to compare grassland resource governance modes in China in terms of institutional settings and insti‐tutional network characteristics.This study found three types of grassland resource governance modes:self-designed,docked,and integrated.The self-designed mode forms a network structure with dual centers and multiple members,and has the second-best structural mode of the three types.The docked mode forms a net‐work structure with a single center in which the institution is the absolute core and is relatively divergent.It has the weakest structural advantage of the three types.The integrated mode forms a network structure with a single institution at the core and other institutions distributed evenly throughout the structure.This mode has the strongest structural advantage among the three types.This study offers the practical application of improv‐ing the practice of grassland governance in China and is theoretically significant because it can contribute to improving grassland governance modes and enriching the public goods resources governance.
文摘With certain controllability of various distribution energy resources (DERs) such as battery energy storage system (BESS), demand response (DR) and distributed generations (DGs), virtual power plant (VPP) can suitably regulate the powers access to the distribution network. In this paper, an optimal VPP operating problem is used to optimize the charging/discharging schedule of each BESS and the DR scheme with the objective to maximize the benefit by regulating the supplied powers over daily 24 hours. The proposed solution method is composed of an iterative dynamic programming optimal BESS schedule approach and a particle swarm optimization based (PSO-based) DR scheme approach. The two approaches are executed alternatively until the minimum elec-tricity cost of the whole day is obtained. The validity of the proposed method was confirmed with the obviously decreased supplied powers in the peak-load hours and the largely reduced electricity cost.
文摘Micro-grid plays a vital role in fulfilling the increasing demand by using distributed renewable energy resources. Demand and response technique can be broadly classified under the setup DR deployed (e.g. ISO’s/RTO’s). Demand response program can be implemented to improve power system quality, reliability and increasing demand. In modern power industry, strategic player can take more benefit from more emphasized DR study in terms of social benefit (uninterrupted power supply to consumers) and economy. This paper proposes the distributed micro-grid control and implemented control setup implemented demand response algorithm, which provides better power system reliability. This paper presents contingencies control demand and response for micro-grid. The main advantage of implementation of demand and response algorithms in Micro-grids provides reliable power supplies to consumers. The proposed micro-grid TCP/IP setup provides a chance to respond the contingencies to recover the shed to active condition. Micro-grid controller implements demand and response algorithm reasonable for managing the demand of the load and intelligent load scheme in case of blackout.
文摘This paper explores medical rescue model of trans-regional emergency response which shall be suited to administrative border areas for the sake of more efficient performance of emergency medical rescue in border areas. Benefited from the existing emergency medical resources in the regional cooperation and the grid management theory, this paper establishes the emergency rescue mechanism featuring'information exchange, resource sharing, and authorized command' by analyzing the shortcomings of current emergency management mechanism in the border areas around Yinchuan. A linkage mechanism should also be set up between two parties (multiple parties) in the border areas for a better command and dispatch platform, as well as drawing up emergency response plan and organizing trans-regional emergency drills. The solution lies in the more efficient treatment of emergency response in border areas. Taking response time for emergency call as the sole criterion, this paper suggests on the establishment of'integrated, coordinated, linked, and effective' medical rescue mode of regional emergency response linkage in a multi-level and grid-based way and an emergency rescue mechanism with characteristics of'information exchange, resource sharing, and authorized command'. It is of great significance to improve emergency response time in the border areas around Yinchuan and utilization of emergency rescue resources, to enhance coordinating work of emergency systems in different administrative regions, and to achieve an emergency response network seamlessly connected with different regions.

文摘More demand-side flexible resources(DFRs)are participating in the frequency regulation of renewable power systems,whose heterogeneous characteristics have a significant impact on the system frequency response.Consequently,selecting suitable DFRs poses a formidable challenge for independent system operators(ISO).In this paper,a reserve allocation methodology for heterogeneous DFRs is proposed to manage the risk of power system frequency.Firstly,a performance curve is developed to describe the cost,capacity,and response speed of DFRs.Moreover,a clustering method for multiple distributed DFRs is conducted to calculate the aggregated performance curves and uncertainty coefficients.Then,the frequency security criterion considering DFRs’performance is constructed,whose linearity makes it can be easily coupled into the system scheduling model and solved.Furthermore,a risk management model for DFRs considering frequency-chance-constraint is proposed to make a trade-off between cost and frequency security.Finally,the model is transformed into mixed integer second-order cone programming(MISOCP)and solved by the commercial solver.The proposed model is validated by the IEEE 30 and IEEE 118 bus systems.

文摘The significance of human resource management in enterprise management is steadily growing,especially as businesses today are expected to shoulder their share of social responsibility.Among these responsibilities,corporate environmental responsibility assumes a pivotal role.This paper aims to investigate the interplay between human resource management practices and corporate environmental responsibility.The study employs various factors of human resource management practices as independent variables,using the current environmental status quo and environmental innovation capacity as intermediary variables,and adopts multiple regression analysis to scrutinize the influencing factors of corporate environmental responsibility.The findings underscore that when the working environment is favorable,enterprise human resource management practices can effectively enhance corporate environmental responsibility.Furthermore,when supported by environmentally responsible behavior,these human resources practices exhibit a positive influence on a company’s environmental responsibility.Consequently,this study provides practical recommendations for enhancing corporate environmental responsibility.
文摘The fifth intergovernmental negotiations on marine BBNJ(Biodiversity beyond Areas of National Jurisdiction)concluded in August 2022,in which there are still major differences regarding access to marine genetic resources,management,and technology transfer.China’s participation in the development of marine genetic resources in ABNJ(areas beyond national jurisdiction)has many dilemmas,which are linked to the difficulties faced in advancing the BBNJ negotiations.The following countermeasures are proposed at the institutional and practical levels respectively:clarifying the legal attributes and applicability of the principles of marine genetic resources;establishing mechanisms for access,management,environmental impact assessment and benefit sharing of marine genetic resources;and using the“Blue Partnership”to build a governance mechanism for marine genetic resources to achieve mutual benefits.

文摘The Yangtze River Basin’s water resource utilization efficiency(WUE)and scientific and technological innovation level(STI)are closely connected,and the comprehension of these relationships will help to improve WUE and promote local economic growth and conservation of water.This study uses 19 provinces and regions along the Yangtze River’s mainstream from 2009 to 2019 as its research objects and uses a Vector Auto Regression(VAR)model to quantitatively evaluate the spatiotemporal evolution of the coupling coordination degree(CCD)between the two subsystems of WUE and STI.The findings show that:(1)Both the WUE and STI in the Yangtze River Basin showed an upward trend during the study period,but the STI effectively lagged behind the WUE;(2)The CCD of the two subsystems generally showed an upward trend,and the CCD of each province was improved to varying degrees,but the majority of regions did not develop a high-quality coordination stage;(3)The CCD of the two systems displayed apparent positive spatial autocorrelation in the spatial correlation pattern,and there were only two types:high-high(H-H)urbanization areas and low-low(L-L)urbanization areas;(4)The STI showed no obvious response to the impact of the WUE,while the WUE responded greatly to the STI,and both of them were highly dependent on themselves.Optimizing their interaction mechanisms should be the primary focus of high-quality development in the basin of the Yangtze River in the future.These results give the government an empirical basis to enhance the WUE and promote regional sustainable development.

文摘An effective modeling and optimization method,which takes into account source-load-storage coordination,and full-time collaborative optimization within and outside micro-grids,is introduced.Considering the operational conditions of various resources and their interactions,an energy management model for microgrids is proposed aiming at maximization of renewable energy utilization and minimization of overall system costs.The model is suitable for both real-time pricing and time-of-use mechanisms.In microgrids,demand response and economic energy storage dispatch are introduced to enhance selfcoordination and self-balancing ability among different resources.Depending on whether there is still an imbalance between supply and demand after coordination within a niicrogrid,trade between it and external microgrids are optimized in a orderly manner by considering different transaction prices and usage rights.Finally,three different schemes are designed,where the Lagrangian multiplier method as well as a co-evolution algorithm are used to solve and analyze different examples,verifying the reliability and validity of the method proposed in this paper.

文摘Due to the uncertainty and fluctuation of distributed generation(DG)and load,the operation of active distribution network(ADN)is affected by multi-dimension factors which are described by massive operation scenarios.Efficient and accurate screening of severely restricted scenarios(SRSs)has become a new challenge in ADN planning.In this paper,a novel bi-level coordinated planning model which combines the short-time-scale operation problem with the long-time-scale planning problem is proposed.At the upper level,the demand response(DR)resource,an effective non-component planning resource characterized by low capacity price,high energy price,and short contract term,is co-optimized with the configuration of lines and energy storage systems(ESSs)to achieve the economic trade-off between the investment cost and the operation cost under SRSs.At the lower level,with the planning scheme obtained from the upper level,massive operation problems are optimized to minimize the daily operation cost;and the SRSs are provided to the upper level through a shadow-price-based scenario screening method,which simulates the planning information(i.e.,the restricted degrees of operation scenarios)feedback process from ADN operators to ADN planners.Case studies on a 62-node distribution system in Jianshan New District,Zhejiang Province,China,illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed bi-level coordinated planning model considering DR resources and SRSs.

文摘As the global energy transforms to renewablebased power system, the wind power generation has experienced a rapid increase. Due to the loss of synchronous machines and its frequency control mechanisms, the gradual evolution leads to critical challenges in maintaining the frequency stability. Under post-fault condition, the wind power generation has a slow recovery due to the fault ride-through(FRT) control strategy and may cause a larger frequency deviation due to the power imbalance between the supply and demand. Then, the impacts of the frequency deviations would further cause inaccuracy and instability in the control system for wind power generation. Considering the long parking time of electric vehicles(EVs), the demand-side response is provided to support the power grid via load-to-grid technology. Thus, a power-balancing coordinated control strategy of the wind power and the demand-side response is developed. It can significantly mitigate the power imbalance, thereby resulting in the enhanced frequency stability. Finally, the simulation results are provided to validate the power-balancing coordinated control strategy.
文摘Background: Behind every great system is an organized team;this is especially true in the healthcare industry, where a dedicated human resources team can effectively recruit employees, train staff, and implement safety measures in the workplace. The importance of human resources in the healthcare industry cannot be overstated, with benefits ranging from providing an orderly and effectively run facility to equipping staff with the most accurate and up-to-date training. Proper human resources management is critical in providing high-quality health care. A refocus on human resources management in healthcare requires more research to develop new policies. Effective human resources management strategies are greatly needed to achieve better outcomes and access to health care worldwide. Methods: This study leveraged NOI Polls census data on Health Facility Assessment for Lagos State. One thousand two hundred fifty-six health care facilities were assessed in Lagos State;numbers of Health workers were documented alongside their area of specialization. Also, demographic characterizations of the facilities, such as LGA, Ownership type, Facility Level Care, and Category of the facility, were also documented. Descriptive statistics alongside cross tabulation was done to present the various area of specialization of the health workers. Multiple response analysis was done to understand the distribution of human resources across the health facilities. At the same time, Chi-square and correlation tests were conducted to test the independence of various categories recorded while understanding the relationships among selected specialties. Results: The study revealed that Nurses were the most common health specialist in the Lagos State health facilities. At the same time, Gynecologists and General surgeons are the two medical specialists mostly common in health facilities. Midwives are the second most common health specialist working full time, while Generalist medical doctors make up the top three health specialists working full time. Nurses and Midwives had the highest number in Lagos State, while Pulmonologists were currently the lowest human resource available in Lagos State health care system. It was also noted that health facility distribution across Lagos’s urban and rural areas was even. In contrast, distribution based on other factors such as ownership type, Facility level of care, and facility category was slightly skewed. Conclusion: The distribution of health workers in health facility across LGA in Lagos State depend on Ownership type, Facility level of care, and category of the facility.

文摘Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)is proposed to solve the needs of Inter-net of Things(IoT)users for high resource utilization,high reliability and low latency of service requests.However,the backup virtual machine is idle when its primary virtual machine is running normally,which will waste resources.Overbooking the backup virtual machine under the above circumstances can effectively improve resource utilization.First,these virtual machines are deployed into slots randomly,and then some tasks with cooperative relationship are off-loaded to virtual machines for processing.Different deployment locations have different resource utilization and average service response time.We want tofind a balanced solution that minimizes the average service response time of the IoT application while maximizing resource utilization.In this paper,we propose a task scheduler and exploit a Task Deployment Algorithm(TDA)to obtain an optimal virtual machine deployment scheme.Finally,the simulation results show that the TDA can significantly increase the resource utilization of the system,while redu-cing the average service response time of the application by comparing TDA with the other two classical methods.The experimental results confirm that the perfor-mance of TDA is better than that of other two methods.
文摘This article aims to identify the challenges in the hospitality industry in Sao Luis, Maranhao, Brazil, with the perspective of developing an organizational culture that enables the practice of corporate social responsibility (CSR). This study method was qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive (Richardson, 1999). The data were collected by interviews with leaders of national and international chain operating hotel companies in Sao Luis (June 2013), using the technique of content analysis. The theoretical framework was developed upon the concept of human resources management (HRM) and CSR. The research findings confirm that CSR is considered as a business strategy and that it contributes to personal and professional fulfillment of employees due to the offer of some benefits, such as remuneration and career plans, pleasurable work environments, awards, and recognition. Beyond that, findings also revealed that the hotels develop CSR activities, particularly focusing on employees, in order to provide guests' satisfaction. The main conclusions are: (1) Leadership is essential to build a culture that leads to a collective involvement in CSR actions; and (2) HRM is considered as a strategic tool for the development of CSR.
