However, organizations must be mindful of how software security may affect quality control. This paper examines and promotes methods through which secure software development processes can be integrated into the Systems Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC) to improve system quality. Cyber-security and quality assurance are both involved in reducing risk. Software security teams work to reduce security risks, whereas quality assurance teams work to decrease risks to quality. There is a need for clear standards, frameworks, processes, and procedures to be followed by organizations to ensure high-level quality while reducing security risks. This research uses a survey of industry professionals to help identify best practices for developing software with fewer defects from the early stages of the SDLC to improve both the quality and security of software. Results show that there is a need for better security awareness among all members of software development teams.展开更多

However, the Web application quality is improving slowly, which requires efficient methods for devel- oping Web systems. This study presents a model for Web-based software development for analysis and design phases based on the ISO/IEC 12207 standard. It describes the methods used to define processes and entities in order to reflect the contents in Web applications. It applies the methodology of Web-Road Map by KCC Information and Technology using this model to the public project. As a result, Web-Road Map is proven to be an efficient model to analyze and design Web-applications.展开更多

As a part of this effort most of the previously proposed program control-flow complexity metrics are evaluated. It is observed that most of these metrics are inherently limited in distinguishing capability. However, the concept of composite metrics is potentially useful for the development of a practical metrics. This paper presents a methodology for the develop- ment of a practical composite metric using statistical techniques. The proposed metric differs from all previous metrics in 2 ways: (1) It is based on an overall structural analysis of a given program in deeper and broader context. It captures various structural measurements taken from all existing structural levels; (2) It unifies a set of 19 important structural metrics. The compositing model of these metrics is based on statistical techniques rather than on an arbitrary method. Experinces with the pro- posed metric clearly indicate that it distinguishes different structures better than the previous metrics.展开更多

This review provides an update of instrumentation developments in the methodology of CE-MS systems. A selection of relevant articles covers the literatures published from Jan. 2013 to Feb. 2017. Special attentions were paid to the sample injection and ionization processes.Applications of these CE-MS systems were also introduced through representative examples. General conclusions and perspectives were given at the last.展开更多
