They are widely used during feasibility studies and initial network deployment, or during network extensions, particularly in new cities. They can be used to calculate the power of the signal received by a mobile terminal, evaluate the coverage radius, and calculate the number of cells required to cover a given area. This paper takes into account the standard k factors model and then uses the differential evolution algorithm to set up a propagation model adapted to the physical environment of the Cameroonian cities of Bertoua. Drive tests were made on the LTE TDD network in the city of Bertoua. Differential evolution algorithm is used as the optimization algorithm to deduct a propagation model which fits the environment of the considered town. It aims to reconstruct the balance between exploration and exploitation, and improve the search efficiency and solution quality of DE. The proposed method is activated by recording the number of recently consecutive unsuccessful global optimum updates. It takes the feedback from the global optimum, which makes the search strategy not only refine the current solution quality, but also have a change to find other promising space with better individuals. This search strategy is incorporated with various DE mutation strategies and DE variations. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method has remarkable performance in enhancing search efficiency and improving solution quality.展开更多

To test the improvement of our algorithm, we compare the IADEA with the basic differential evolution algorithm by solving typical instances of UFL problem respectively. Moreover, to compare with other heuristic algorithm, we use the hybrid ant colony algorithm to solve the same instances. The computational results show that IADEA improves the performance of the basic DE and it outperforms the hybrid ant colony algorithm.

文摘A novel and effective artificial neural network(ANN) optimized using differential evolution(DE) is first introduced to provide a robust and reliable forecasting of jet grouted column diameters. The proposed computational method adopts the DE algorithm to tackle the difficulties in the training and performance of neural networks and optimize the four quintessential hyper-parameters(i.e.the epoch size, the number of neurons in a hidden layer, the number of hidden layers, and the regularization parameter) that govern the neural network efficacy. This approach is further enhanced by a stochastic gradient optimization algorithm to allow ’expensive’ computation efforts. The ANN-DE is first trained using a prepared jet grouting dataset, then verified and compared with the prevalent machine learning tools,i.e.neural networks and support vector machine(SVM).The results show that, the ANN-DE outperforms the existing methods for predicting the diameter of jet grouting columns since it well balances training efficiency and model performance.Specifically, the ANN-DE achieved root mean square error(RMSE)values of 0.90603 and 0.92813 for the training and testing phases, respectively. The corresponding values were 0.8905 and 0.9006 for the optimized ANN,then,0.87569 and 0.89968 for the optimized SVM,respectively. The proposed paradigm is bound to be useful for solving various geotechnical engineering problems regardless of multi-dimension and nonlinearity.

文摘In this paper, a global optimum-based search strategy is proposed to alleviate the situation that the differential evolution(DE) usually sticks into a stagnation, especially on complex problems. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method has remarkable performance in enhancing search efficiency and improving solution quality.

文摘A self-adaptive differential evolution neutron spectrum unfolding algorithm(SDENUA)is established in this study to unfold the neutron spectra obtained from a water-pumping-injection multilayered concentric sphere neutron spectrometer(WMNS).Specifically, the neutron fluence bounds are estimated to accelerate the algorithm convergence, and the minimum error between the optimal solution and input neutron counts with relative uncertainties is limited to 10^(-6)to avoid unnecessary calculations.Furthermore, the crossover probability and scaling factor are self-adaptively controlled.FLUKA Monte Carlo is used to simulate the readings of the WMNS under(1)a spectrum of Cf-252 and(2)its spectrum after being moderated,(3)a spectrum used for boron neutron capture therapy,and(4)a reactor spectrum.Subsequently, the measured neutron counts are unfolded using the SDENUA.The uncertainties of the measured neutron count and the response matrix are considered in the SDENUA,which does not require complex parameter tuning or an a priori default spectrum. The results indicate that the solutions of the SDENUA agree better with the IAEA spectra than those of MAXED and GRAVEL in UMG 3.1,and the errors of the final results calculated using the SDENUA are less than 12%.The established SDENUA can be used to unfold spectra from the WMNS.

文摘This paper introduces a pneumatic finger cylinder servo control system for medical grabbing.First, according to the physical structure of the proportional directional valve and the pneumatic cylinder, the state equation of the gas in the servo system was obtained. The Stribeck friction compensation model of a pneumatic finger cylinder controlled by a proportional valve was established and the experimental platform built. To allow the system output to bet-ter track the change in the input signal, the flow-gain compensation method was adopted. On this basis,a friction compensation control strategy based on a differential evolution algorithm was proposed and applied to the position control system of a pneumatic finger cylinder. Finally, the strategy was compared with the traditional proportional derivative(PD)strategy and that with friction compensation. The experimental results showed that the position accuracy of the finger cylinder position control system can be improved by using the friction compensation strategy based on the differential evolution algorithm to optimize the PD parameters.

文摘The interest in selecting an appropriate cloud data center is exponentially increasing due to the popularity and continuous growth of the cloud computing sector.Cloud data center selection challenges are compounded by ever-increasing users’requests and the number of data centers required to execute these requests.Cloud service broker policy defines cloud data center’s selection, which is a case of an NP-hard problem that needs a precise solution for an efficient and superior solution.Differential evolution algorithm is a metaheuristic algorithm characterized by its speed and robustness, and it is well suited for selecting an appropriate cloud data center. This paper presents a modified differential evolution algorithm-based cloud service broker policy for the most appropriate data center selection in the cloud computing environment. The differential evolution algorithm is modified using the proposed new mutation technique ensuring enhanced performance and providing an appropriate selection of data centers. The proposed policy’s superiority in selecting the most suitable data center is evaluated using the CloudAnalyst simulator. The results are compared with the state-of-arts cloud service broker policies.

文摘Some recent research reports that a dendritic neuron model(DNM)can achieve better performance than traditional artificial neuron networks(ANNs)on classification, prediction, and other problems when its parameters are well-tuned by a learning algorithm. However, the back-propagation algorithm(BP),as a mostly used learning algorithm, intrinsically suffers from defects of slow convergence and easily dropping into local minima. Therefore, more and more research adopts non-BP learning algorithms to train ANNs.In this paper,a dynamic scale-free network-based differential evolution(DSNDE)is developed by considering the demands of convergent speed and the ability to jump out of local minima. The performance of a DSNDE trained DNM is tested on 14 benchmark datasets and a photovoltaic power forecasting problem.Nine meta-heuristic algorithms are applied into comparison, including the champion of the 2017 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation(CEC2017)benchmark competition effective butterfly optimizer with covariance matrix adapted retreat phase(EBOwithCMAR).The experimental results reveal that DSNDE achieves better performance than its peers.
文摘To obtain the sparse decomposition and flexible representation of traffic images, this paper proposes a fast matching pursuit for traffic images using differential evolution. According to the structural features of traffic images, the introduced algorithm selects the image atoms in a fast and flexible way from an over-complete image dictionary to adaptively match the local structures of traffic images and therefore to implement the sparse decomposition. As compared with the traditional method and a genetic algorithm of matching pursuit by using extensive experiments, the differential evolution achieves much higher quality of traffic images with much less computational time, which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
文摘Chirp signals show energy aggregation in the fractional Fourier domain(FrFD) w hich can be used to estimate the parameter of the signals. In this paper,a parameter estimation method for multi-component chirp signal w hich corrupted by w hite Gaussian noise is proposed based on the discrete fractional Fourier transform(DFrFT) and the differential evolution( DE) algorithm. The proposed algorithm uses the DE algorithm instead of the conventional fine search algorithm to detect the peak of the signals in the FrFD. The paper simulated the influence of the noise and the resolution of the proposed algorithm. The results of the simulation show the proposed method does not only improve the estimation accuracy of the peak coordinate, but also reduces time consuming.
文摘Single unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)multitasking plays an important role in multiple UAVs cooperative control, which is as well as the most complicated and hardest part. This paper establishes a threedimensional topographical map,and an improved adaptive differential evolution(IADE)algorithm is proposed for single UAV multitasking. As an optimized problem, the efficiency of using standard differential evolution to obtain the global optimal solution is very low to avoid this problem. Therefore, the algorithm adopts the mutation factor and crossover factor into dynamic adaptive functions, which makes the crossover factor and variation factor can be adjusted with the number of population iteration and individual fitness value, letting the algorithm exploration and development more reasonable. The experimental results implicate that the IADE algorithm has better performance, higher convergence and efficiency to solve the multitasking problem compared with other algorithms.

文摘One of the important geotechnical parameters required for designing of the civil engineering structure is the compressibility of the soil.In this study, the main purpose is to develop a novel hybrid Machine Learning(ML)model(ANFIS-DE),which used Differential Evolution(DE)algorithm to optimize the predictive capability of Adaptive-Network-based Fuzzy Inference System(ANFIS),for estimating soil Compression coefficient(Cc)from other geotechnical parameters namelyWater Content,Void Ratio,SpecificGravity,Liquid Limit,Plastic Limit,Clay content and Depth of Soil Samples.Validation of the predictive capability of the novel model was carried out using statistical indices:Root Mean Square Error(RMSE),Mean Absolute Error(MAE),and Correlation Coefficient(R).In addition, two popular ML models namely Reduced Error Pruning Trees(REPTree)and Decision Stump(Dstump)were used for comparison. Results showed that the performance of the novel model ANFIS-DE is the best(R=0.825,MAE=0.064 and RMSE=0.094)in comparison to other models such as REPTree(R=0.7802,MAE=0.068 and RMSE=0.0988)andDstump(R=0.7325,MAE=0.0785 and RMSE=0.1036).Therefore,the ANFIS-DE model can be used as a promising tool for the correct and quick estimation of the soil Cc,which can be employed in the design and construction of civil engineering structures.
