The proposed digital controller designed, based on series expansion of pulse transfer function by solving a linear equation using the method of least squares, which improves the transient performance and step tracking capability of the compensated system. The designed algorithm used for the control input is not iterative, so the calculation is very fast. The proposed control scheme has successfully applied on maglev system and also validated through the simulation and hardware experimental results.展开更多

NOSLC is a high gain converter in which the positive source voltage is converte...This paper focuses on the comparative study of analog and digital control techniques for Negative Output Superlift Luo converter (NOSLC). NOSLC is a high gain converter in which the positive source voltage is converted into a negative load voltage. Though the negative load voltage is produced effectively, there is lot of non-linearities that affects the voltage level. To overcome this, analog controllers like Proportional-integral (PI), fuzzy PI and a sliding mode controller (SMC) were proposed for NOSLC. However PI controller does not respond to changes in operating point, fuzzy PI is based on the systematic approach and proved to be a trial and error oriented method and SMC brings an oscillation in the duty cycle. Therefore, to overcome these drawbacks, a digital control technique using PIC microcontroller is proposed in this paper which provides high versatility and programmability approach. Simulation studies are carried out in MATLAB and the performances of these controllers have been investigated for the proposed DC-DC converter. A prototype of the NOSLC converter is built by employing digital control and the results are verified experimentally.展开更多

Those schemes are detailed to deal with different issues on model tracking, performance prediction, performance retention, and fault tolerant control of digital twin systems. Furthermore, an internal digital compensator eliminates the need for external loop compensation components while achieving excellent line and load regulation. The controller could output both constant voltage and constant current depending on the load current. Pulse width modulation and pulse frequency modulation are used in constant voltage mode while quasi-resonant control is used in constant current mode. Nevertheless, in digitally controlled...The Virtual Resistor based Active Damping(VR-AD) is widely employed in converters connected to the grid via LCL filters in order to mitigate the inherent resonance of the filters. Nevertheless, in digitally controlled systems, the PWM and the calculating delays modify the system characteristics in terms of frequency and phase, thus destabilizing the system and degrading the VR-AD performances, mainly in low switching frequencies. Moreover, the stability of the system is greatly affected under weak grid operation characterized by large grid impedance variation. This paper solves these problems by proposing a systematic, robust and optimized design procedure of voltage oriented PI control(VOC) with VRAD. The considered design procedure ensures robust control(sufficient stability margins) and high quality of grid current(reduced steady-state error and minimized THD value) despite the negative impact of digital time delay, grid impedance variation and filter parameters change. Simulation and experimental results are presented to show robustness and efficiency of the suggested design procedure.展开更多

The...In many cases, the cutting method is usually adopted for the efficient machining of non-circular body of revolution and a feed drive is needed to actuate the cutting tool to and fro according to input signal wave. The feed drive for the purpose is required of fast response and accurate positioning. Both of these are highly dependent upon the actuating elements. Several schemes of actuation are specially interested. One is the introduction of piezoelectric actuation. However, the tiny working stroke of the piezoelectric material limits its application to a narrow range. Another is the application of electro-magnetic actuator. An innovative feed drive actuated by the stepper motor is introduced for the purpose. For a conventional step operating mode, a stepper motor can only be controlled to position at finite discrete points. Thus, when it is applied as an actuator of the feed drive, it is very difficult to maintain high accuracy and fast response. To eliminate quantitative error, the stepper motor is controlled under the continual mode. It is achieved with a micro-controller system and a built-in control algorithm program, called "tracking algorithm". Within each sampling cycle, the micro-controller will sample the input signal and the time interval will be divided into two parts according to the relative position between two adjacent stepping points. The phase coils correspondent to the two adjacent stepping points are energized respectively with calculated time duration. In the way, the motion of the tool frame smoothly tracks the input signal. This paper presents modeling and identification of frequency response of the proposed drive. The dynamic response of the feed drive is manly decided by the natural frequency of the stepper motor. For the conventional small-size stepper motors, the natural frequency is within the range 200~400 Hz. Experimental results show that the stepper motor actuated tool frame can smoothly keep in track of the input signal wave under "tracking control". The bandwidth of frequency of the feed drive exceeds 310 Hz.展开更多
An 80-GHz DCO based on modified hybrid tuning banks is introduced in this paper.To achieve sub-MHz frequency res-olution with reduced circuit complexity,the improved circuit topology replaces the conventional circuit ...An 80-GHz DCO based on modified hybrid tuning banks is introduced in this paper.To achieve sub-MHz frequency res-olution with reduced circuit complexity,the improved circuit topology replaces the conventional circuit topology with two binary-weighted SC cells,enabling eight SC-cell-based improved SC ladders to achieve the same fine-tuning steps as twelve SC-cell-based conventional SC ladders.To achieve lower phase noise and smaller chip size,the promoted binary-weighted digi-tally controlled transmission lines(DCTLs)are used to implement the coarse and medium tuning banks of the DCO.Compared to the conventional thermometer-coded DCTLs,control bits of the proposed DCTLs are reduced from 30 to 8,and the total length is reduced by 34.3%(from 122.76 to 80.66μm).Fabricated in 40-nm CMOS,the DCO demonstrated in this work fea-tures a small fine-tuning step(483 kHz),a high oscillation frequency(79-85 GHz),and a smaller chip size(0.017 mm^(2)).Com-pared to previous work,the modified DCO exhibits an excellent figure of merit with an area(FoMA)of-198 dBc/Hz.展开更多

Purpose The digital controller for the accelerator magnet power supply typically employs a field-programmable gate array(FPGA)as the signal processing chip for executing digital processing of closed-loop control.Curre...Purpose The digital controller for the accelerator magnet power supply typically employs a field-programmable gate array(FPGA)as the signal processing chip for executing digital processing of closed-loop control.Currently,FPGA chips are predominantly utilized in Intel or Xilinx products.To address the“key areas and stranglehold”issue pertaining to FPGA chips in accelerator power supply,we have devised a digital power supply prototype using a domestic FPGA chip and validated its feasibility in the upgrade project’s magnet power supply digital transformation plan for the Beijing Electron Positron Collider(BEPCII).Method A domestic FPGA chip from the Seal5000 SA5Z-30-D1 series by Xi’an ZhiDuoJing Microelectronics Co.serves as the core component for the design of a digital corrector magnet power supply to replace the existing analog controlled corrector power supply at BEPCII.The power supply’s digital control of the closed loop is achieved through the use of a hardware description language,and the digital controller hardware is constructed based on the original power supply power topology.Results and conclusions After conducting experiments and tests on the power supply prototype,we have successfully met the current operational requirements of the BEPCII corrector power supply,thus confirming the feasibility of utilizing domestic FPGA for digital application on accelerator power supply.展开更多

The adaptive feedback control of stability with circumferential inlet distortion has been experimentally investigated in a low-speed,axial compressor.The flat-baffles with different span heights are used to simulate d...The adaptive feedback control of stability with circumferential inlet distortion has been experimentally investigated in a low-speed,axial compressor.The flat-baffles with different span heights are used to simulate different distorted inflow cases.Compared with auto-correlation and root-mean-square analysis,cross-correlation analysis used to predict early stall warning does not depend on the distortion position.Hence,the cross-correlation coefficient was used to monitor the stable status of the compressor and provide the feedback signal in the active control strategy when suffering from different distortions.Based on the stall margin improvement of tip air injection obtained under different distorted inflow cases and the sensitivity analysis of cross-correlation coefficients to injected momentum ratios,tip air injection was adopted as the actuator for adaptive feedback control.The digital signal processing controller was designed and applied to achieve adaptive feedback control in distorted inflow conditions.The results show that the adaptive feedback control of air injection nearly achieves the same stall margin improvement as steady air injection under different distortion intensities with a reduced injection mass flow.Thus,the proposed adaptive feedback control method is ideal for the engine operation with circumferential distorted inflow,which frequently occurs in flight.展开更多

The switching devices in the proposed converter are turned on and off with Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) and Zero Current Switching (ZCS) respectively. The circuit is operated in Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) with various load ranges having duty cycle of more than 50%. The proposed converter is studied by developing the simulation module in MATLAB/SIMULINK. A PI controller is designed and implemented in FPGA to obtain a regulated DC output for line and load variations. Simulation and experimentation results are verified with a prototype development of the proposed converter. The results indicate that the converter performance is enhanced with closed loop control.展开更多

Purpose Photon source has developed to the fourth generation.The requirements for beam stability and power supply output current stability have been greatly improved.In this paper,a precision acquisition system is des...Purpose Photon source has developed to the fourth generation.The requirements for beam stability and power supply output current stability have been greatly improved.In this paper,a precision acquisition system is designed for improving the stability for power supply output current.Method The acquisition system consists of two parts,the analog to digital converter(ADC)system and the temperature control system.The composition and software simulation analysis are given in this paper.Results A prototype is made and tested.The test results showed that the acquisition system has an effective resolution of 15.5 bits,signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of 98 dB,and integral nonlinearity(INL)of 86 ppm.The internal temperature stable range is±0.06℃.Conclusions The acquisition system can fully meet the requirements of the developed photon source.展开更多

文摘Purpose The digital controller for the accelerator magnet power supply typically employs a field-programmable gate array(FPGA)as the signal processing chip for executing digital processing of closed-loop control.Currently,FPGA chips are predominantly utilized in Intel or Xilinx products.To address the“key areas and stranglehold”issue pertaining to FPGA chips in accelerator power supply,we have devised a digital power supply prototype using a domestic FPGA chip and validated its feasibility in the upgrade project’s magnet power supply digital transformation plan for the Beijing Electron Positron Collider(BEPCII).Method A domestic FPGA chip from the Seal5000 SA5Z-30-D1 series by Xi’an ZhiDuoJing Microelectronics Co.serves as the core component for the design of a digital corrector magnet power supply to replace the existing analog controlled corrector power supply at BEPCII.The power supply’s digital control of the closed loop is achieved through the use of a hardware description language,and the digital controller hardware is constructed based on the original power supply power topology.Results and conclusions After conducting experiments and tests on the power supply prototype,we have successfully met the current operational requirements of the BEPCII corrector power supply,thus confirming the feasibility of utilizing domestic FPGA for digital application on accelerator power supply.
文摘Renewable energy resources play an important role in the realization of the carbon neutrality.The microgrid can efficiently integrate numerous renewable energy systems into power distribution systems to realize power supply resiliency and environmental affinity.This paper reviews the current trend of microgrid and networked microgrid technologies worldwide,particularly in Japan,including the Flexible,Reliable,and Intelligent Energy Delivery System(FRIENDS)and some other examples of the networked microgrid.Some recent digitalized control functions of the microgrid and related systems are also introduced.
文摘High-intensity discharge (HID) lamps include these types of electrical lamps: mercury vapor, metal halide (also HQI), high-pressure sodium, low-pressure sodium and less commonly, xenon short-arc lamps. The light-producing element of these lamp types is a well-stabilized arc discharge contained within a refractory envelope (arc tube) with wall loading in excess of 3 W/cm (19.4 W/in.). 文摘The adaptive feedback control of stability with circumferential inlet distortion has been experimentally investigated in a low-speed,axial compressor.The flat-baffles with different span heights are used to simulate different distorted inflow cases.Compared with auto-correlation and root-mean-square analysis,cross-correlation analysis used to predict early stall warning does not depend on the distortion position.Hence,the cross-correlation coefficient was used to monitor the stable status of the compressor and provide the feedback signal in the active control strategy when suffering from different distortions.Based on the stall margin improvement of tip air injection obtained under different distorted inflow cases and the sensitivity analysis of cross-correlation coefficients to injected momentum ratios,tip air injection was adopted as the actuator for adaptive feedback control.The digital signal processing controller was designed and applied to achieve adaptive feedback control in distorted inflow conditions.The results show that the adaptive feedback control of air injection nearly achieves the same stall margin improvement as steady air injection under different distortion intensities with a reduced injection mass flow.Thus,the proposed adaptive feedback control method is ideal for the engine operation with circumferential distorted inflow,which frequently occurs in flight.
文摘This paper proposes the design and experimentation of digital control of soft-switched interleaved boost converter using FPGA for Telecommunication System. The switching devices in the proposed converter are turned on and off with Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) and Zero Current Switching (ZCS) respectively. The circuit is operated in Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) with various load ranges having duty cycle of more than 50%. The proposed converter is studied by developing the simulation module in MATLAB/SIMULINK. A PI controller is designed and implemented in FPGA to obtain a regulated DC output for line and load variations. Simulation and experimentation results are verified with a prototype development of the proposed converter. The results indicate that the converter performance is enhanced with closed loop control.
文摘With China's urbanization entering a stage of high-quality development,refined urban governance has become an important part in the modernization of governance capacity,in which urban design plays a major role.This paper briefly reviews the background of urban design digi-talization and discusses the issues that need to be addressed in digital management and control of urban design in China.On this basis,the paper summarizes the practice of digital management and control of urban design in Zhuhai in three aspects:building a rule base for digital management and control,developing a 3D quantitative analysis method for urban space from the macro,meso,and micro perspectives,and establishing a digital urban design management platform and storing 2D and 3D urban design schemes in the database according to unified standards,so as to realize the standardized management,intelligent review,and scientific decision-making of urban design.
文摘Purpose Photon source has developed to the fourth generation.The requirements for beam stability and power supply output current stability have been greatly improved.In this paper,a precision acquisition system is designed for improving the stability for power supply output current.Method The acquisition system consists of two parts,the analog to digital converter(ADC)system and the temperature control system.The composition and software simulation analysis are given in this paper.Results A prototype is made and tested.The test results showed that the acquisition system has an effective resolution of 15.5 bits,signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of 98 dB,and integral nonlinearity(INL)of 86 ppm.The internal temperature stable range is±0.06℃.Conclusions The acquisition system can fully meet the requirements of the developed photon source.
