The results showed that the X-ray diffraction(XRD)-based DIP method effectively analyzed the mineral composition contents and spatial distributions of granite. During the particle flow code(PFC2D) model calibration phase, the numerical simulation exhibited that the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS) value, elastic modulus(E), and failure pattern of the granite specimen in the UCS test were comparable to the experiment. By establishing 351 sets of numerical models and exploring the impacts of mineral composition on the mechanical properties of granite, it indicated that there was no negative correlation between quartz and feldspar for UCS, tensile strength(σ_(t)), and E. In contrast, mica had a significant negative correlation for UCS, σ_(t), and E. The presence of quartz increased the brittleness of granite, whereas the presence of mica and feldspar increased its ductility in UCS and direct tensile strength(DTS) tests. Varying contents of major mineral compositions in granite showed minor influence on the number of cracks in both UCS and DTS tests.展开更多

A novel DSP scheme for this optical super Nyquist filtering 9 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (9 QAM) like signals based on muhimodulus equalization with out post filtering is proposed. This scheme recovers the Ny quist filtered Quadrature PhaseShift Keying (QPSK) signal to a 9QAMlike one. With this technique, SE can be increased to 4 b/s/Hz for QPSK signals. A novel digital superNyquist signal generation scheme is also proposed to further suppress the Nyquist signal bandwidth and reduce channel crosstalk without the need for optical prefiltering. Only optical cou plers are needed for superNyquist wavelengthdivisionmulti plexing (WDM) channel multiplexing. We extend the DSP for shorthaul optical transmission networks by using highorder QAMs. We propose a highspeed Can'ierless Amplitude/Phase 64 QAM (CAP64 QAM) system using directly modulated la ser (DML) based on direct detection and digital equalization. Decisiondirected least mean square is used to equalize the CAP64QAM. Using this scheme, we generate and transmit up to 60 Gbit/s CAP64QAM over 20 km standard single mode fiber based on the DML and direct detection. Finally, several key problems are solved for real time orthogonalfre quencydivisionmultiplexing (OFDM) signal transmission aml processing. With coherent detection, up to 100 Glfit/s 16 QAMOFDM realtime transmission is possible.展开更多

The results of the new method were verified through comparing with the manual measurement data.On this basis, the dynamic changes of the three-phase contact angles under flow conditions were clarified by the contact angles probability density curve and mean value change curve. The results show that, for water-wetting rocks, the mean value of the contact angles is acute angle during the early stage of the water flooding process, and it increases with the displacement time and becomes obtuse angle in the middle-late stage of displacement as the dominant force of oil phase gradually changes from viscous force to capillary force. The droplet flow in the remaining oil occurs in the central part of the pore throats, without three-phase contact angle. The contact angles for the porous flow and the columnar flow change slightly during the displacement and present as obtuse angles in view of mean values, which makes the remaining oil poorly movable and thus hard to be recovered. The mean value of the contact angle for the cluster flow tends to increase in the flooding process, which makes the remaining oil more difficult to be recovered. The contact angles for the membrane flow are mainly obtuse angles and reach the highest mean value in the late stage of displacement, which makes the remaining oil most difficult to be recovered. After displacement, the remaining oils under different flow regimes are just subjected to capillary force, with obtuse contact angles, and the wettability of the pore throat walls in the microfluidic model tends to be oil-wet under the action of crude oil.展开更多

文摘In this paper, we investigate advanced digital signal process ing (DSP) at the transmitter and receiver side for signal pre equalization and postequalization in order to improve spec trum efficiency (SE) and transmission distance in an optical access network. With coherent detection, up to 100 Glfit/s 16 QAMOFDM realtime transmission is possible.

文摘In recent years, explosively increasing data traffic has been boosting the con?tinuous demand of high speed optical interconnection inside or among data centers, high performance computers and even consumer electronics. To pursue the improved intercon?nection performance of capacity, energy efficiency and simplicity, effective approaches are demonstrated including particularly advanced digital signal processing (DSP) meth?ods. In this paper, we present a review about the enabling adaptive DSP methods for opti?cal interconnection applications, and a detailed summary of our recent and ongoing works in this field. In brief, our works focus on dealing with the specific issues for short-reach interconnection scenarios with adaptive operation, including signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) limitation, level nonlinearity distortion, energy efficiency consideration and the de?cision precision.

文摘Reliable prediction of the shale fracturing process is a challenging problem in exploiting deep shale oil and gas resources.Complex fracture networks need to be artificially created to employ deep shale oil and gas reserves.Randomly distributed minerals and heterogeneities in shales significantly affect mechanical properties and fracturing behaviors in oil and gas exploitation.Describing the actual microstructure and associated heterogeneities in shales constitutes a significant challenge. The RFPA3D(rock failure process analysis parallel computing program)-based modeling approach is a promising numerical technique due to its unique capability to simulate the fracturing behavior of rocks. To improve traditional numerical technology and study crack propagation in shale on the microscopic scale,a combination of high-precision internal structure detection technology with the RFPA^(3D) numerical simulation method was developed to construct a real mineral structure-based modeling method.First,an improved digital image processing technique was developed to incorporate actual shale microstructures(focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy was used to capture shale microstructure images that reflect the distri-butions of different minerals)into the numerical model.Second, the effect of mineral inhomogeneity was considered by integrating the mineral statistical model obtained from the mineral nanoindentation experiments into the numerical model.By simulating a shale numerical model in which pyrite particles are wrapped by organic matter, the effects of shale microstructure and applied stress state on microcrack behavior and mechanical properties were investigated and analyzed. In this study, the effect of pyrite particles on fracture propagation was systematically analyzed and summarized for the first time. The results indicate that the distribution of minerals and initial defects dominated the fracture evolution and the failure mode.Cracks are generally initiated and propagated along the boundaries of hard mineral particles such as pyrite or in soft minerals such as organic matter.Locations with collections of hard minerals are more likely to produce complex fractures. This study provides a valuable method for un-derstanding the microfracture behavior of shales.

文摘Currently, worldwide industries and communities are concerned with building, expanding, and exploring the assets and resources found in the oceans and seas.More precisely,to analyze a stock, archaeology, and surveillance,sev-eral cameras are installed underseas to collect videos. However,on the other hand, these large size videos require a lot of time and memory for their processing to extract relevant information.Hence,to automate this manual procedure of video assessment,an accurate and efficient automated system is a greater necessity. From this perspective,we intend to present a complete framework solution for the task of video summarization and object detection in underwater videos. We employed a perceived motion energy(PME)method tofirst extract the keyframes followed by an object detection model approach namely YoloV3 to perform object detection in underwater videos. The issues of blurriness and low contrast in underwater images are also taken into account in the presented approach by applying the image enhancement method.Furthermore, the suggested framework of underwater video summarization and object detection has been evaluated on a publicly available brackish dataset. It is observed that the proposed framework shows good performance and hence ultimately assists several marine researchers or scientists related to thefield of underwater archaeology, stock assessment, and surveillance.

文摘With the help of digital image processing technology, an automatic measurement method for the three-phase contact angles in the pore throats of the microfluidic model was established using the microfluidic water flooding experiment videos as the data source. After displacement, the remaining oils under different flow regimes are just subjected to capillary force, with obtuse contact angles, and the wettability of the pore throat walls in the microfluidic model tends to be oil-wet under the action of crude oil.
