However, most land surface models currently prescribe rooting profiles as a function only of vegetation type, with no consideration of the surroundings. In this study, a dynamic rooting scheme, which describes root growth as a compromise between water and nitrogen availability, was incorporated into CLM4.5 with carbon-nitrogen (CN) interactions (CLM4.5-CN) to investigate the effects of a dynamic root distribution on eco-hydrological modeling. Two paired numerical simulations were conducted for the Tapajos National Forest km83 (BRSa3) site and the Amazon, one using CLM4.5-CN without the dynamic rooting scheme and the other including the proposed scheme. Simulations for the BRSa3 site showed that inclusion of the dynamic rooting scheme increased the amplitudes and peak values of diurnal gross primary production (GPP) and latent heat flux (LE) for the dry season, and improved the carbon (C) and water cycle modeling by reducing the RMSE of GPP by 0.4 g C m^-2 d^-1, net ecosystem exchange by 1.96 g C m^-2 d^-1, LE by 5.0 W m^-2, and soil moisture by 0.03 m^3 m^-3, at the seasonal scale, compared with eddy flux measurements, while having little impact during the wet season. For the Amazon, regional analysis also revealed that vegetation responses (including GPP and LE) to seasonal drought and the severe drought of 2005 were better captured with the dynamic rooting scheme incorporated.展开更多

To save the network communication burden, a distributed dynamic event-triggered mechanism is developed to restrain the information update. Besides, random packet dropouts following the Bernoulli distribution are assumed to occur in sensor to controller channels, where the triggered control input is analyzed via an equivalent method containing a new stochastic variable. By establishing the mode-dependent Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional with augmented terms, the finite-time boundness of the error system limited to strict dissipativity is studied. As a result of the help of an extended reciprocally convex matrix inequality technique, less conservative criteria in terms of linear matrix inequalities are deduced to calculate the desired control gains. Finally, two examples in regard to practical systems are provided to display the effectiveness of the proposed theory.展开更多

The character of quick descending at early stage and then slow development with steady shape in geoelectricity is a basicfeature ofgeoelectric tendency anomaly for strong earthquake. Usually the ratio of average time between the earlyquick descend stage and the post slow development stage is about if4. In addition, for Tangshan Ms=7.8 andSongpan Ms=7.2 earthquake, we studied the diffusion character of the geoelectric tendency anomaly development. For Tangshan earthquake, we also studied the time-space-strength dynamic evolution character of its geoelectricprecursory information quantity. The results showed that diffusion velocity of geoelectric precursory tendencyanomaly for the two earthquakes is respectively 90 kmja and 100 km/a. The variation character of geoelectric tendency anomaly presents some indexes for judgment of strong earthquake tendency background and intermediateterm prediction.展开更多

Each player approximates its optimal control policy using a single-network approximate dynamic programming(ADP) where only one critic neural network(NN) is employed instead of typical actorcritic structure composed of two NNs. The proposed distributed weight tuning laws for critic NNs guarantee stability in the sense of uniform ultimate boundedness(UUB) and convergence of control policies to the Nash equilibrium. In this paper, by introducing novel distributed local operators in weight tuning laws, there is no more requirement for initial stabilizing control policies. Furthermore, the overall closed-loop system stability is guaranteed by Lyapunov stability analysis. Finally, Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.展开更多

A direct calculating method for the velocity distribution by means of a limit pro-cess combining with analytic evaluation of higher-order singular integrals instead of theconventional method of doublet strength gradient is devised in order to avoid the diffi-culty of edge extrapolation of doublet strength. The problem of substantialunderpredictions of the induced drag coefficient obtained from the VSAERO analysisdisappears for the present improved algorithm. Illustrative calculations for several testcases such as swept back wing, swept forward wing and wing-body combination showthat the accuracy of results may be improved and is competitive with high-order panelmethod. In addition, the present direct integral method can be used to evaluate the ve-locity distribution for external flow field correctly, where the method of gradient cannot be used at all.展开更多

By coupling the heterogeneous test apparatus and computational resources of geographically distributed laboratories, DHT provides the means to take on complex, multi-disciplinary challenges with new forms of communication and collaboration. To introduce the opportunity and practicability afforded by DHT, here an exemplar multi-site test is addressed in which a dedicated fibre network and suite of custom software is used to connect the geotechnical centrifuge at the University of Cambridge with a variety of structural dynamics loading apparatus at the University of Oxford and the University of Bristol. While centrifuge time-scaling prevents real-time rates of loading in this test, such experiments may be used to gain valuable insights into physical phenomena, test procedure and accuracy. These and other related experiments have led to the development of the real-time DHT technique and the creation of a flexible framework that aims to facilitate future distributed tests within the UK and beyond. As a further example, a real-time DHT experiment between structural labs using this framework for testing across the Internet is also presented.展开更多

文摘By using the mesh resolution control method based on the nozzle scale,a paralleled super numerical simulation and high-quality mesh model of the launch jet dynamics for new-generation launch vehicles was developed.Based upon this,a transient numerical simulation method, combining the pressure and velocity, tightly coupled algorithm and SST turbulence model, was used to complete the unsteady numerical simulation of the launch jet dynamics of the new-generation launch vehicles. The numerical simulation results of the launch jet dynamics, for the new-generation launch vehicles, demonstrated that despite the complex structure of the launch platform, the jet flows of the core stage and booster engines were generally smoothly channeled into the double deflecting trench through the launch platform’s diversion hole at the initial stage of ignition. After the lift off,the jet flows of the core stage and the booster engines began to affect and ablate the grillage-shaped beam and the adjoined surface of the launch platform adjacent to the booster engines. At a higher altitude after lift off,it could be seen for the new-generation launch vehicles the ablation range of high temperature and high-speed jet flows on the launch platform further expanded, which would have a severe ablation effect on the fuel filling tower near the booster engines and even all the support arms. The numerical simulation of launch jet dynamics also established that the jet flows embers at the bottom of the core stage rocket body continued to be affected for an extended period of time due to the large number of nozzles in the new-generation launch vehicles engine and the weak suction effect of the jet flows in the core-stage engines.
文摘In order to design a new kind of mobile database management system (DBMS)more suitable for mobile computing than the existent DBMS, the essence of database systems in mobilecomputing is analyzed. An opinion is introduced that the mobile database is a kind of dynamicdistributed database, and the concept of virtual servers to translate the clients' mobility to theservers' mobility is proposed. Based on these opinions, a kind of architecture of mobile DBMS, whichis of versatility, is presented. The architecture is composed of a virtual server and a local DBMS,the virtual server is the kernel of the architecture and its functions are described. Eventually, the server kernel of a mobile DBMS prototype is illustrated.
文摘Based on systematic processing to long-term geoelectric observation data, we mainly studied the character of earthresistivity tendency anomaly for MS>7.0 strong earthquakes and its relation with seismogenic process. The variation character of geoelectric tendency anomaly presents some indexes for judgment of strong earthquake tendency background and intermediateterm prediction.
文摘In this paper, an online optimal distributed learning algorithm is proposed to solve leader-synchronization problem of nonlinear multi-agent differential graphical games. Finally, Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

文摘To gain a better understanding of the characteristics of air pollution of Changchun city, P. R. China, in summer, the analytical methods of geographical information system(GIS) and statistical analysis software SPSS were applied to the analysis of the monitored concentrations of SO2 , NO2, and O3 in July of 2002 to 2004 in Changchun city. The results obtained show that the average hourly O3 concentrations in July 2002 and 2004 were higher than the firstlevel hourly standard of China. At the same time, the dynamic distribution of the 03 concentration and the relationship between the concentration of 03 and that of NOx were studied. The air quality evaluation result of Changchun city indicates that the southwest of this city was heavily polluted during the monitored period.
文摘An improved algorithm for velocity field of general configurations ispresentd for low-order panel method based on the internal Dirichlet boundary condi-tion. In addition, the present direct integral method can be used to evaluate the ve-locity distribution for external flow field correctly, where the method of gradient cannot be used at all.

文摘Distributed Hybrid Testing(DHT) is an experimental technique designed to capitalise on advances in modern networking infrastructure to overcome traditional laboratory capacity limitations. As a further example, a real-time DHT experiment between structural labs using this framework for testing across the Internet is also presented.

文摘The change in the coordination environment of the active sites of a fuel cell cathode catalyst provides a new modulation strategy for stimulating the catalyst’s oxygen reduction reaction activity. The thermodynamic and electronic properties of the FeCoN5A and FeCoN6A catalyst structures with nonmetallic A-doped(A=B,N,O,P,and S)coordination were calculated and analyzed based on density functional theory. The modulation order of G*OH by different A-doped FeCo bimetal pairs(BMPs)was as follows:S>P>O>N/C>B.There was a dynamic distribution of charges in the coordination environment during the adsorption of OH,which resulted in inversely proportional relationship with the charge transfer between the adsorbate OH,active site, first coordination layer, and second coordination layer in turn.Descriptors of the orbital energy levels of neighboring nonmetal atoms were constructed based on the p-electron number and electronegativity of the doped nonmetal A.The change of the orbital energy levels of the first coordination atom during the adsorption process caused the structure to exhibit different adsorption energies. This study provides new insights on the non-metallic modulation of the M-N-C coordination environment to improve the oxygen reduction reaction activity.
