Spatial Distribution of Domestic Tourism Market in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Its Development Strategies

This paper, based on the statistical data from the Sample Survey of Domestic Tourism in Inner Mongolia(2014), analyzed the distribution of the domestic tourism market across Inner Mongolia and its 4 tourism sections through indexes including market concentration ratio, geographic concentration ratio, variance, etc.. The results showed that:(1) the market within the autonomous region remained to be the largest one in those 4 sections;(2) Beijing was the largest domestic tourism market outside Inner Mongolia;(3) different sections were divided on the target market of domestic tourism:(1) Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region proved to be the primary market of Inner Mongolia at large;(2) Beijing and 3 provinces in Northwest China came as the primary markets of Hulun Buir-Hinggan section;(3) Beijing-Tanjin-Hebei Region and Liaoning Province were the primary markets of Xilingol-Chifeng-Tongliao section;(4) BeijingShanxi-Hebei Region turned out to be the primary market of Huhhot-Baotou-Erdos-UlanqabBayannur section;(5) Beijing and Gansu were the primary markets of Wuhai-Alxa section;(4) the market concentration ratio of domestic tourism in different sections varied from each other, and the east section was the highest one, followed by middle section, Inner Mongolia as a whole, west section, and northeast section. As a result, authors of this paper made recommendations on how to develop the domestic tourism in Inner Mongolia. 展开更多

Over the past two decades,Morocco has clearly banked on international tourists due to many reasons.But the current circumstances caused by the appearance of the Corona pandemic pushed the tourism players to re-prioritize the tourism market.Analysts in the sector predict a re-launch of international tourism in 2021 and a slow recovery of the tourism sector starts with reliance on domestic tourism to save tourism businesses from total crackdown.Due to many risk factors as a second wave of the virus,lockdown phobia,international travel restrictions,and economic recession that his different sectors all these hinder the revive of international tourism and prioritize the dynamic of domestic tourism.Our research is focused on the study of the probabilities of boosting the tourism sector by encouraging the local demand as a quick solution to overcome the current crisis. 展开更多

The outbreak of the novel coronavirus(Covid-19)has hit the nation’s tourism sector hard.With the closure of borders,industry players should now realize that they cannot rely and focus too much on international receipts but should also give equal balance attention to local tourist and tourism products.Hence,urgent steps must be taken by the government to reduce the impact of this outbreak on the country’s economy,by introducing measures to boost domestic tourism and to satisfy the cravings of the tourism needs of the population.It is not an understatement that Malaysians often look for tourists’destinations outside Malaysia for fun and adventure,ignoring the fact that Malaysia has a lot to offer to tourist in terms of sun,sea,culture,heritage,gastronomy,and adventure.National geography programs like“Tribal Chef”demonstrate how“experiential tourism”resonates with the young and adventurous,international and Malaysian alike.The main purpose of this paper is to give an insight about the effect of Covid-19 pandemic to the tourism and hospitality services industry in Malaysia.What is the immediate impact of Covid-19 pandemic on Malaysia’s tourism industry?What are the initiatives(stimulus package)taken by the Malaysian government in order to ensure tourism sustainability during Covid-19 pandemic?How to boost tourist confidence?How to revive Malaysia’s tourism industry?How local government agencies can help in promoting and coordinating domestic tourism?These are some of the questions which a response is provided in the paper.Due to the current Conditional Movement Control Order(CMCO)in Malaysia which started from 18th March 2020 to the time this paper is written,the methodology is largely reliant on daily news and information including national Malaysia news and daily updates in local newspaper.The paper also makes some recommendations which have implications for practitioners and policy makers. 展开更多

Urban furniture is one of the components considered in urban designing and as a part of the whole city, it defines the urban identity and structure. In today’s world, the importance of designing the urban equipment and furniture is to an extent that even active architects in the field of industrial designing are invited for designing and performing the urban furniture and equipment. Urban designing is a thing beyond making some flower box in squares and determining bus and taxi stations. Evidently, what gives identity to the city or according to the saying of “Sansovini”, what has tranquility for the city’s residents and creates attraction for foreigner tourists, not only include the mass buildings and streets traffic, but also include landscape, parks and furniture of the city. Standard designing of bus terminals like other urban furniture influences on urban face and it can have significant role in satisfaction of domestic tourists and increase and propagation of using of terminals. In this research, it has been attempted that the effect of furniture in the terminals of Isfahan city on domestic tourists should be studied that for this purpose, descriptive-analytic method has been used and data have been collected through field and library studies and secondary sources by using of SWOT model. 展开更多

Since the outbreak of COVID-19,tourists have been increasingly concerned over various risks of international travel,while knowledge of the pandemic appears to vary significantly.In addition,as travel restrictions continue to impact adversely on international tourism,tourism efforts should be placed more on the domestic markets.Via structural equation modeling,this study unearthed different risk factors impacting Korean travelers’choices of alternative local destinations in the post-pandemic era.In addition,this study extended the goal-directed behavior framework with the acquisition of perceived risk and knowledge of COVID-19,which was proven to hold a sig-nificantly superior explanatory power of tourists’decisions of local alternatives over foreign countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.Furthermore,desire was found to play an imminent mediating role in the conceptual mod-el,maximizing the impact of perceived risk on travel intentions.Henceforth,this research offers meaningful the-oretical implication as thefirst empirical study to deepen the goal-directed behaviour framework with perceived risk and knowledge in the context of post-COVID-19 era.It also serves as insightful knowledge for Korean tour-ism authorities and practitioners to understand local tourists’decision-making processes and tailor effective recovery strategy for domestic tourism. 展开更多
