Meanwhile, New Year, Pray in Spring and Return in Autumn not only play significant roles in agricultural production, but also evolve to farming holidays which are enriched with more social connotations. Centered on husbandry and production, some folklore that is rich in local color has been formed in Dong society. The writer introduced some farming ritual of Dong ethnic group, such as, sowing, Kai Yang Men, Rain-praying, Chang Xin, reaping and Lunar New Year, summarized their belief in the land worship, festival ritual, ancestor ritual and ceres ritual. It is concluded that sacrifice is a production-related folklore, which is formed by repeated operation and constant practice. Some taboos were also prohibited in agricultural sacrifice because people were not able to change the unfavorable reality of farming with their insufficient experience and knowledge; however, they resorted to witchcraft for the purpose of harvest. It is believed that the activity of sacrifice will also be kept in the life of Dong ethnic group due to their dependency on agriculture and the land.展开更多

By selecting the Shen-Dong coal mining subsidence area as the research field, this paper studies the changes in precipitation infiltration recharge in the circumstances of coal mining subsidence by means of field geological investigation and laboratory simulation experiments, which is expected to provide a scientific basis for eco-environmental restoration in the mining area. The results indicate that at the unstable stage of subsidence, three types of subsidence in the Shen-Dong mining area have positive effects on the precipitation infiltration recharge, and the type of full-thickness bedrock subsidence has the greatest influence. In the stable stage of subsidence, the precipitation infiltration process after long- term drought and the moisture migration in the aeration zone undergo three different stages: evaporation-infiltration before precipitation, infiltration-upward infiltration-infiltration during precipitation and evaporation-infiltration after precipitation. During a heavy rainfall infiltration process, the wetting front movement in fine sand, coarse sand and dualistic structure of fine-coarse sand consists of two stages: the stage of wetting front movement during precipitation, in which the wetting front movement distance has linear relationship with the depth, and the stage of wetting front movement after precipitation, in which the wetting front movement distance has the power function relationship with the depth. The wetting front movement velocity is influenced by the rainfall amount and the lithology in the aeration zone. However, as the depth increases, the movement velocity will decay exponentially.展开更多

This paper aims to understand traditional knowledge of Dong ethnic people in resource management and population control, including traditional resource management, traditional medicinal knowledge and village regulations in Zhanli Village in Southeast Guizhou Province. The research methods include key informant interview, group discussion, participant observation and secondary data collect- ing. The results show that Zhanli villagers try their best to utilize indigenous knowledge to manage the natural resources and keep the stable population to make themselves live in a sustainable way. Indigenous knowledge plays an important role in managing their limited natural resources and keeping the population stable under an excellent condition. Zhanli villagers employ indigenous knowledge to manage natural resources and use local herbs to control the population. Village regulation terms significantly influence villagers’ awareness in resource management and birth control. Women play the chief role in employing indigenous knowledge in weaving as well as medicinal knowledge in birth control, and these kinds of knowledge are passed down through the female line. However, the inheritance style of traditional knowledge is decreasing. Indig- enous knowledge plays an important role in the sustainable development of this village, which gives implications for development practices to involve indigenous knowledge to achieve sustainable development.展开更多

Dong PraYa Yen-KhaoYai Forest Complex has been a UNESCO natural world heritage site since 2007, but little is known about its plant community. Our study aims to identify each plant community within the world heritage area and calculate its potential for carbon content. We determine both the relationship between forest type and both physio-chemical soil properties and climate change impact. We employed allometric equations to calculate aboveground biomass and both cluster analysis and canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) to examine the relationship between forest type and physiochemical soil properties. An equation for each physical parameter was used to predict the forest model. The climate scenario under A2 and B2 was applied to calculate future predominant forest types. Our results reveal that the forest ecosystems at Tab Lan (TL) have the highest species count (332 species) followed by Pang Srida (PD), KhaoYai (KY), Dong Yai (DY), and Tapraya (TY), with 293, 271, 169, and 99 species, respectively. We found KY to have the highest recorded carbon storage value at 2507.6 tC/ha followed by TL, PD, TY, and DY (1613.8, 1269.1, 844 and 810.7 tC/ha, respectively). Cluster analysis results indicated that the dominant species in each forest type is different. Moreover, CCA revealed that soil organic matter (SOM) and soil acid-base indicators are the best parameters to establish correlation for each forest type. Based on our results, future climate predictions show a negative impact on evergreen forests, but a positive one on deciduous ones.展开更多

As one of the most important representatives of "Third Generation" poets, HAN Dong has created many distinct postmodernist poems. Rejecting metaphor and symbolization, he takes an oral language of original ecology as his poetical discourse mode to affirm the everyday life of here and now, and then both deconstruct metaphoric and symbolic writing of"Misty Poetry" and construct a writing mode of "aestheticization of life". HAN Dong's poetry can be taken as a kind of construction in deconstruction.展开更多

Indig- enous knowledge plays an important role in the sustainable development of this village, which gives implications for development practices to involve indigenous knowledge to achieve sustainable development.
文摘Climate is a major determinant of global vegetation patterns and has a significant influence on the distribution and structure of forest ecosystems. Based on our results, future climate predictions show a negative impact on evergreen forests, but a positive one on deciduous ones.

文摘With the influence ofpostmodernism, "Third Generation" poetry rushes out of elite literature and makes Chinese new poetry focus on everyday life of common persons. HAN Dong's poetry can be taken as a kind of construction in deconstruction.
