A more accurate estimation of stress-strain relationships for martensite and ferrite was developed, and the modified law of mixture was used to investigate the stress-strain partitioning of constituent phases in dual ...A more accurate estimation of stress-strain relationships for martensite and ferrite was developed, and the modified law of mixture was used to investigate the stress-strain partitioning of constituent phases in dual phase (DP) steels with two different martensite volume fractions. The results show that there exist great differences in the stress-strain contribution of martensite and ferrite to DP steel. The stress-strain partitioning coefficient is not constant in the whole strain range, but decreases with increasing the true strain of DP steel. The softening effect caused by the dilution of carbon concentration in martensite with the increase of martensite volume fraction has great influence on the strain contribution of martensite. The strain ratio of ferrite to martensite almost linearly increases with increasing the true strain of DP steel when the martensite volume fraction is 22%, because martensite always keeps elastic. But the strain ratio of ferrite to martensite varies indistinctively with the further increase in true strain of DP steel above 0.034 when the martensite volume fraction is 50%, because plastic deformation happens in martensite. The stress ratio ofmartensite to ferrite decreases monotonously with increasing the true strain of DP steel whether the martensite volume fraction is 22% or 50%.展开更多
Si-doped zinc oxide(SZO) thin films are deposited by using a co-sputtering method,and used as the channel active layers of ZnO-based TFTs with single and dual active layer structures.The effects of silicon content o...Si-doped zinc oxide(SZO) thin films are deposited by using a co-sputtering method,and used as the channel active layers of ZnO-based TFTs with single and dual active layer structures.The effects of silicon content on the optical transmittance of the SZO thin film and electrical properties of the SZO TFT are investigated.Moreover,the electrical performances and bias-stress stabilities of the single- and dual-active-layer TFTs are investigated and compared to reveal the effects of the Si doping and dual-active-layer structure.The average transmittances of all the SZO films are about 90% in the visible light region of 400 nm-800 nm,and the optical band gap of the SZO film gradually increases with increasing Si content.The Si-doping can effectively suppress the grain growth of ZnO,revealed by atomic force microscope analysis.Compared with that of the undoped ZnO TFT,the off-state current of the SZO TFT is reduced by more than two orders of magnitude and it is 1.5 × 10^-12 A,and thus the on/off current ratio is increased by more than two orders of magnitude.In summary,the SZO/ZnO TFT with dual-active-layer structure exhibits a high on/off current ratio of 4.0 × 10^6 and superior stability under gate-bias and drain-bias stress.展开更多
The models of stress corrosion,pressure solution and free-face dissolution/precipitation were introduced.Taking a hypothetical nuclear waste repository in an unsaturated dual-porosity rock mass as the calculation obje...The models of stress corrosion,pressure solution and free-face dissolution/precipitation were introduced.Taking a hypothetical nuclear waste repository in an unsaturated dual-porosity rock mass as the calculation objective,four cases were designed:1) the fracture aperture is a function of stress corrosion,pressure solution and free-face dissolution/precipitation;2) the fracture aperture changes with stress corrosion and pressure solution;3) the fracture aperture changes with pressure solution and free-face dissolution/precipitation;4) the fracture aperture is only a function of pressure solution,and the matrix porosity is also a function of stress in these four cases.Then,the corresponding two-dimensional FEM analyses for the coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical processes were carried out.The results show that the effects of stress corrosion are more prominent than those of pressure solution and free-face dissolution/precipitation,and the fracture aperture and relevant permeability caused by the stress corrosion are only about 1/5 and 1/1000 of the corresponding values created by the pressure solution and free-face dissolution/precipitation,respectively.Under the action of temperature field from released heat,the negative pore and fracture pressures in the computation domain rise continuously,and are inversely proportional to the sealing of fracture aperture.The vector fields of flow velocity of fracture water in the cases with and without considering stress corrosion are obviously different.The differences between the magnitudes and distributions of stresses within the rock mass are very small in all cases.展开更多

Pyropia yezoensis, belongs to the genus of P orphyra before 2011, inhabit on intertidal zone rocks where irradiation changes dramatically, implying that the seaweed has gained certain mechanisms to survive a harsh env...Pyropia yezoensis, belongs to the genus of P orphyra before 2011, inhabit on intertidal zone rocks where irradiation changes dramatically, implying that the seaweed has gained certain mechanisms to survive a harsh environment. Based on the photosynthetic parameters with or without the inhibitors determined by a Dual-PAM-100 apparatus, we investigated the photosynthetic performance and the changes in electron fl ow that occurred during the algae were stressed with dif ferent light intensities previously. When the irradiation saturation was approaching, the CEF around PS I became crucial since the addition of inhibitors usually led to an increase in non-photochemical quenching. The inhibitor experiments showed that there were at least three dif ferent CEF pathways in Py. yezoensis and these pathways compensated each other. In addition to maintaining a proper ratio of ATP/NAD(P)H to support effi cient photosynthesis, the potential roles of CEF might also include the regulation of dif ferent photoprotective mechanisms in Py. yezoensis. Under the regulation of CEF, chlororespiration is thought to transport electrons from the reduced plastoquinone(PQ) pool to oxygen in order to mitigate the reduction in the electron transfer chain. When irradiation was up to the high-grade stress conditions, the relative value of CEF began to decrease, which implied that the NADP+ pool or PQ + pool was very small and that the electrons were transferred from reduced PS I to oxygen. The scavenging enzymes might be activated and the water-water cycle probably became an ef fective means of removing the active oxygen produced by the irradiation stressed Py. yezoensis. We believe that the dif ferent mechanisms could make up the photoprotective network to allow Py. yezoensis for survival in a highly variable light stress habitat, which may enlighten scientists in future studies on irradiance stress in other algae species.展开更多

The relationship between the flow stress and microstructural parameters of a 0.12C-0.9Mn dual phase steel was investigated using the expression for the flow stress of dual phase steel[1] . By calculating the stress ratio and the stress-strain partition coefficient, the loud transition and the stress-strain partition between two phases are studied. It shows that the deformation of dual phase steel lies between the isostress and isostrain states and the stress-strain pratition changes continuously during the deloramtion.展开更多

In the symplectic space composed of the original variables,displacements,and their dual variables,stresses,the symplectic solution for the composite laminates based on the Pipes-Pagano model is established in this pap...In the symplectic space composed of the original variables,displacements,and their dual variables,stresses,the symplectic solution for the composite laminates based on the Pipes-Pagano model is established in this paper.In contrast to the traditional technique using only one kind of variables,the symplectic dual variables include displacement components as well as stress components.Therefore,the compatibility conditions of displacement and stress at interfaces can be formulated simultaneously.After being introduced into the symplectic dual system,the uniform schemes,such as the separation of variables and symplectic eigenfunction expansion method,can be implemented conveniently to analyze composite laminate problems.An analytical solution for the free edge effect of composite laminates is obtained,showing the effectiveness of the symplectic dual method in analyzing composite laminates.展开更多
