In this study, the sludge distribution and its impact on performance of UNITANK were carried out in Liede Wastewater Plant (WWTP) of Guangzhou, China. Results showed that there was a strong affiliation between Tank A and B of the system in sludge concentration distribution. The initial sludge concentration in Tank A could present the sludge distribution of the whole system. The sludge distribution was mainly influenced by hydraulic condition. Unsteady sludge distribution had an impact on variations of substrates in reactors, especially in decisive reactor, and this could lead to failure of system. Settler could partially remove substrates such as COD and NO3-N, but there was adventure of sludge deterioration. The rational initial sludge concentration in Tank A should be 4000-6000 mg/L MLSS.展开更多

This paper presents an in situ measurement of the dynamic load distribution in the four rows of two axlebox bearings on a bogie wheelset of a high-speed train under polygonal wheel–rail excitation. The measurement employed an improved strain-based method to measure the dynamic radial load distribution of roller bearings. The four rows of two axlebox bearings on a wheelset exhibited different ranges of loaded zones and different means of distributed loads. Besides, the mean value and standard deviation of measured roller–raceway contact loads showed non-monotonic variations with the frequency of wheel–rail excitation. The fatigue life of the four bearing rows under polygonal wheel–rail excitation was quantitatively predicted by compiling the measured roller–raceway contact load spectra of the most loaded position and considering the load spectra as input.展开更多

Online instruments such as the turbidimeter and particle counter were employed to monitor the flocculation process online and collect test data. The aim of the experiments was to study the dynamic distribution characteristics of suspension particles in the flocculation process. The 3D flow field in the reacting vessel was also simulated at different slow stirring speeds. The experiments showed that particle collision and aggregation in the flocculation process is in compliance with the Sutherland cluster aggregation model. This study further indicated that under appropriate hydrodynamic conditions, the distribution of turbulent flow in the reactor could be improved to increase the odds of effective particle collision and restrain the breakup of formed flocs by vortex shearing force. However, most land surface models currently prescribe rooting profiles as a function only of vegetation type, with no consideration of the surroundings. In this study, a dynamic rooting scheme, which describes root growth as a compromise between water and nitrogen availability, was incorporated into CLM4.5 with carbon-nitrogen (CN) interactions (CLM4.5-CN) to investigate the effects of a dynamic root distribution on eco-hydrological modeling. Two paired numerical simulations were conducted for the Tapajos National Forest km83 (BRSa3) site and the Amazon, one using CLM4.5-CN without the dynamic rooting scheme and the other including the proposed scheme. Simulations for the BRSa3 site showed that inclusion of the dynamic rooting scheme increased the amplitudes and peak values of diurnal gross primary production (GPP) and latent heat flux (LE) for the dry season, and improved the carbon (C) and water cycle modeling by reducing the RMSE of GPP by 0.4 g C m^-2 d^-1, net ecosystem exchange by 1.96 g C m^-2 d^-1, LE by 5.0 W m^-2, and soil moisture by 0.03 m^3 m^-3, at the seasonal scale, compared with eddy flux measurements, while having little impact during the wet season. For the Amazon, regional analysis also revealed that vegetation responses (including GPP and LE) to seasonal drought and the severe drought of 2005 were better captured with the dynamic rooting scheme incorporated.展开更多

To save the network communication burden, a distributed dynamic event-triggered mechanism is developed to restrain the information update. Besides, random packet dropouts following the Bernoulli distribution are assumed to occur in sensor to controller channels, where the triggered control input is analyzed via an equivalent method containing a new stochastic variable. By establishing the mode-dependent Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional with augmented terms, the finite-time boundness of the error system limited to strict dissipativity is studied. As a result of the help of an extended reciprocally convex matrix inequality technique, less conservative criteria in terms of linear matrix inequalities are deduced to calculate the desired control gains. Finally, two examples in regard to practical systems are provided to display the effectiveness of the proposed theory.展开更多

The electron density distributions measured show a feature of hollow core. To illustrate the feature, we present a theoretical investigation by using dynamics analysis. In the simulation, the propagation of laser pulse with the evolution of electron density is utilized to evaluate ionization of air target for the plasma-formation stage. In the plasma-expansion stage, a simple adiabatic fluid dynamics is used to calculate the evolution of plasma outward expansion. The simulations show good agreements with experimental results, and demonstrate an effective way of determining 2D density profiles of the laser-induced plasma plume in gas.展开更多

The character of quick descending at early stage and then slow development with steady shape in geoelectricity is a basicfeature ofgeoelectric tendency anomaly for strong earthquake. Usually the ratio of average time between the earlyquick descend stage and the post slow development stage is about if4. In addition, for Tangshan Ms=7.8 andSongpan Ms=7.2 earthquake, we studied the diffusion character of the geoelectric tendency anomaly development. For Tangshan earthquake, we also studied the time-space-strength dynamic evolution character of its geoelectricprecursory information quantity. The results showed that diffusion velocity of geoelectric precursory tendencyanomaly for the two earthquakes is respectively 90 kmja and 100 km/a. The variation character of geoelectric tendency anomaly presents some indexes for judgment of strong earthquake tendency background and intermediateterm prediction.展开更多

As a result of the help of an extended reciprocally convex matrix inequality technique, less conservative criteria in terms of linear matrix inequalities are deduced to calculate the desired control gains. Finally, two examples in regard to practical systems are provided to display the effectiveness of the proposed theory.

文摘East Asian evergreen broadleaved forests(EBFLs) harbor high species richness, but these ecosystems are severely impacted by global climate change and deforestation.Conserving and managing EBLFs requires understanding dominant tree distribution dynamics. In this study,we used 29 species in Quercus section Cyclobalanopsis-a keystone lineage in East Asian EBLFs-as proxies to predict EBLF distribution dynamics using species distribution models(SDMs).We examined climatic niche overlap, similarity, and equivalency among seven biogeographical regions’ species using’ecospat’.We also estimated the effectiveness of protected areas in the predicted range to elucidate priority conservation regions. Our results showed that the climatic niches of most geographical groups differ. The western species under the Indian summer monsoon regime were mainly impacted by temperature factors, whereas precipitation impacted the eastern species under the East Asian summer monsoon regime. Our simulation predicted a northward range expansion of section Cyclobalanopsis between 2081 and 2100,except for the ranges of the three Himalayan species analyzed, which might shrink significantly. The greatest shift of highly suitable areas was predicted for the species in the South Pacific, with a centroid shift of over 300 km.Remarkably, only 7.56% of suitable habitat is currently inside protected areas, and the percentage is predicted to continue declining in the future. To better conserve Asian EBLFs,establishing nature reserves in their northern distribution ranges, and transplanting the populations with predicted decreasing numbers and degraded habitats to their future highly suitable areas, should be high-priority objectives.

文摘A dynamic model of a helical gear rotor system is proposed.Firstly,a generally distributed dynamic model of a helical gear pair with tooth profile errors is developed. The gear mesh is represented by a pair of cylinders connected by a series of springs and the stiffness of each spring is equal to the effective mesh stiffness.Combining the gear dynamic model with the rotor-bearing system model, the gear-rotor-bearing dynamic model is developed. Then three cases are presented to analyze the dynamic responses of gear systems. The results reveal that the gear dynamic model is effective and advanced for general gear systems,narrow-faced gear,wide-faced gear and gear with tooth profile errors. Finally, the responses of an example helical gear system are also studied to demonstrate the influence of the lead crown reliefs and misalignments. The results show that both of the lead crown relief and misalignment soften the gear mesh stiffness and the responses of the gear system increase with the increasing lead crown reliefs and misalignments.

文摘The determination of the dynamic load is one of the indispensable technologies for structure design and health monitoring for aerospace vehicles. However,it is a significant challenge to measure the external excitation directly.By contrast, the technique of dynamic load identification based on the dynamic model and the response information is a feasible access to obtain the dynamic load indirectly.Furthermore, there are multi-source uncertainties which cannot be neglected for complex systems in the load identification process, especially for aerospace vehicles. In this paper, recent developments in the dynamic load identification field for aerospace vehicles considering multi-source uncertainties are reviewed, including the deterministic dynamic load identification and uncertain dynamic load identification. The inversion methods with different principles of concentrated and distributed loads, and the quantification and propagation analysis for multi-source uncertainties are discussed.Eventually, several possibilities remaining to be explored are illustrated in brief.
文摘A dynamic analysis approcach to investigate the state of load distribution among contact bearings of double circular are belical gears is proposed and a computer program is developed for calculating the factor of iced distribution based on the theory of W-N gears. The changing situations of load distribution among contact bearings of the gears influenced by main issues are analyzed by a series of parametric studies.

文摘We perform an experimental study of two-dimensional(2D) electron density profiles of the laser-induced plasma plumes in air by ordinarily laboratorial interferometry. The simulations show good agreements with experimental results, and demonstrate an effective way of determining 2D density profiles of the laser-induced plasma plume in gas.
文摘By using the mesh resolution control method based on the nozzle scale,a paralleled super numerical simulation and high-quality mesh model of the launch jet dynamics for new-generation launch vehicles was developed.Based upon this,a transient numerical simulation method, combining the pressure and velocity, tightly coupled algorithm and SST turbulence model, was used to complete the unsteady numerical simulation of the launch jet dynamics of the new-generation launch vehicles. The numerical simulation results of the launch jet dynamics, for the new-generation launch vehicles, demonstrated that despite the complex structure of the launch platform, the jet flows of the core stage and booster engines were generally smoothly channeled into the double deflecting trench through the launch platform’s diversion hole at the initial stage of ignition. After the lift off,the jet flows of the core stage and the booster engines began to affect and ablate the grillage-shaped beam and the adjoined surface of the launch platform adjacent to the booster engines. At a higher altitude after lift off,it could be seen for the new-generation launch vehicles the ablation range of high temperature and high-speed jet flows on the launch platform further expanded, which would have a severe ablation effect on the fuel filling tower near the booster engines and even all the support arms. The numerical simulation of launch jet dynamics also established that the jet flows embers at the bottom of the core stage rocket body continued to be affected for an extended period of time due to the large number of nozzles in the new-generation launch vehicles engine and the weak suction effect of the jet flows in the core-stage engines.

文摘Distributed dynamic absorbers have many advantages such as wide frequency bandwidth for vibration suppression, strong detuning adaptability, and high system stability, making them very suitable for the vibration and noise control of continuous structures. Therefore, they have broad application prospects in various fields such as transportation, aviation, and aerospace. However, there are still many challenges in the engineering applications of distributed dynamic absorbers for vibration suppression, including the engineering realization of the optimal damping of traditional optimal coherence dynamic absorbers, and the engineering applicability of the finite periodic array dynamic absorbers.Based on the damping material properties obtained by the dynamic mechanical analyzer tests, this paper establishes the finite element model of the cantilever-beam-type dynamic absorber with constrained damping layers, aiming to realize the accurate determination of the optimal damping.Experiments are conducted by attaching the traditional dynamic absorbers with the optimal damping to a thin-walled panel with four clamped edges. Results show that the vibration of the panel is well suppressed, with the reduction of the frequency response peak larger than 14 dB and the reduction ratio of RMS larger than 58%within 500 Hz.Afterwards, the periodically arrayed dynamic absorbers are designed according to the bandgap regulation method. The tuning behavior of the arrayed dynamic absorbers by changing designing parameters is investigated. The vibration reduction effect of arrayed dynamic absorbers is compared with that of the traditional dynamic absorbers under the same mass ratio through experiments. Results indicate that the arrayed dynamic absorbers are easier to design, and have a similar reduction effect on the modal vibration of the thin panel as the traditional dynamic absorbers within a narrow frequency range near the natural frequency, while they perform unsatisfactory in a broad band.Significantly,if the appropriate frequency and damping of the arrayed absorbers are chosen,a relatively wide bandgap can also be generated, which shows high engineering applicability. The research work in this paper provides beneficial reference for the design of distributed dynamic absorbers suitable for vibration suppression of thinwalled panel structures.
文摘Based on systematic processing to long-term geoelectric observation data, we mainly studied the character of earthresistivity tendency anomaly for MS>7.0 strong earthquakes and its relation with seismogenic process. The variation character of geoelectric tendency anomaly presents some indexes for judgment of strong earthquake tendency background and intermediateterm prediction.
