Achieving dynamic privacy measurement and protection based on reinforcement learning for mobile edge crowdsensing of IoT

With the maturity and development of 5G field,Mobile Edge CrowdSensing(MECS),as an intelligent data collection paradigm,provides a broad prospect for various applications in IoT.However,sensing users as data uploaders lack a balance between data benefits and privacy threats,leading to conservative data uploads and low revenue or excessive uploads and privacy breaches.To solve this problem,a Dynamic Privacy Measurement and Protection(DPMP)framework is proposed based on differential privacy and reinforcement learning.Firstly,a DPM model is designed to quantify the amount of data privacy,and a calculation method for personalized privacy threshold of different users is also designed.Furthermore,a Dynamic Private sensing data Selection(DPS)algorithm is proposed to help sensing users maximize data benefits within their privacy thresholds.Finally,theoretical analysis and ample experiment results show that DPMP framework is effective and efficient to achieve a balance between data benefits and sensing user privacy protection,in particular,the proposed DPMP framework has 63%and 23%higher training efficiency and data benefits,respectively,compared to the Monte Carlo algorithm. 展开更多

Hydrogen partial pressure is an important parameter to calculate hydrogen concentration levels in molten aluminum alloy. A new dynamic method for measuring hydrogen partial pressure in molten aluminum alloy is studied. Dynamic and rapid measurement is realized through changing the volume of the vacuum chamber and calculating the pressure difference ΔP between the theoretical and measured pressures in the vacuum chamber. Positive ΔP indicates hydrogen transmits from melt to vacuum chamber and negative ΔP means the reverse. When ΔP is equal to zero, hydrogen transmitted from both sides reached a state of dynamical equilibrium and the pressure in the vacuum chamber is equal to the hydrogen partial pressure in the molten aluminum alloy. Compared with other existing measuring methods, the new method can significantly shorten the testing time and reduce measuring cost. 展开更多

We present an experimental demonstration of the rotation measurement using a compact cold atom gyroscope. Atom interference fringes are observed in the stationary frame and the rotating frame, respectively. The phase shift and contrast of the interference fringe are experimentally investigated. The results show that the contrast of the interference fringe is well held when the platform is rotated, and the phase shift of the interference fringe is linearly proportional to the rotation rate of the platform. The long-term stability, which is evaluated by the overlapped Allan deviation, is 8.5 × 10^-6 rad/s over the integrating time of 1000s. 展开更多

A critical problem facing data collection in structural health monitoring,for instance via sensor networks,is how to extract the main components and useful features for damage detection.A structural dynamic measurement is more often a complex time-varying process and therefore,is prone to dynamic changes in time-frequency contents.To extract the signal components and capture the useful features associated with damage from such nonstationary signals,a technique that combines the time and frequency analysis and shows the signal evolution in both time and frequency is required.Wavelet analyses have proven to be a viable and effective tool in this regard.Wavelet transform(WT)can analyze different signal components and then comparing the characteristics of each signal with a resolution matched to its scale.However,the challenge is the selection of a proper wavelet since various wavelets with varied properties that are to analyze the same data may result in different results.This article presents a study on how to carry out a comparative analysis based on analytic wavelet scalograms,using structural dynamic acceleration responses,to evaluate the effectiveness of various wavelets for damage detection in civil structures.The scalogram’s informative time-frequency regions are examined to analyze the variation of wavelet coefficients and show how the frequency content of a signal changes over time to detect transient events due to damage.Subsequently,damage-induced changes are tracked with time-frequency representations.Towards this aim,energy distribution and sharing information are investigated.The undamaged and damaged simulated comparative results of a structure reveal that the damaged structure were shifted from the undamaged structure.Also,the Bump wavelet shows the best results than the others. 展开更多

In this paper,a novel launch dynamics measurement system based on the photoelectric sensor pair is built.The actual muzzle time(i.e.a time duration that originates from the initial movement to the rocket’s departure from the muzzle)and the muzzle velocity are measured.Compared with the classical methods,the actual muzzle time is obtained by eliminating the ignition delay.The comparative analysis method is proposed with numerical simulations established by the transfer matrix method for multibody systems.The experiment results indicate that the proposed measurement system can effectively measure the actual muzzle time and reduce the error of classical methods,which match well with the simulation results showing the launch dynamics model is reliable and helpful for further analysis and design of the MLRS. 展开更多

Manganin piezoresistive gauges have been extensively used in dynamic stress measurement for decades.It is noted,however,that when used to measure transverse stresses,considerable strain effect is caused as the consequence of change of electrical resistance resulted from bending of wires in the longitudinal-strain-experiencing sensing element of the gauge,a phenomenon discussed in this paper theoretically as well as experimentally.This effect yields unwanted signals to blend with output piezoresistive signals and is not negligible,hence decreases measurement accuracy sizably if not properly handled.To overcome this drawback,a new type of manganin transverse piezoresistive gauge has been developed by authors of this paper,which can reduce the resistance increment to acceptable low level so as to effectively bring the adverse effect under control. 展开更多

An online dynamic method based on electrical conductivity probe, tensiometer and datataker was presented to measure saturation-capillary pressure (S-p) relation in water-light nonaqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) two-phase sandy medium under water level fluctuation. Three-electrode electrical conductivity probe (ECP) was used to measure water saturation. Hydrophobic tensiometer was obtained by spraying waterproof material to the ceramic cup of commercially available hydrophilic tensiometer. A couple of hydrophilic tensiometer and hydrophobic tensiometer were used to measure pore water pressure and pore LNAPL pressure of the sandy medium, respectively. All the signals from ECP and tensiometer were collected by a data taker connected with a computer. The results show that this method can finish the measurement of S-R relation of a complete drainage or imbibition process in less than 60 min. It is much more timesaving compared with 10-40 d of traditional methods. Two cycles of water level fluctuation were produced, and four saturation-capillary pressure relations including two stable residual LNAPL saturations of the sandy medium were obtained during in 350 h. The results show that this method has a good durable performance and feasibility in the porous medium with complicated multiphase flow. Although further studies are needed on the signal stability and accuracy drift of the ECP, this online dynamic method can be used successfully in the rapid characterization of a LNAPL migration in porous media. 展开更多

Advanced testing methods for the dynamics of mechanical microdevices are necessary to develop reliable, marketable microelectromechanical systems. A system for measuring the nanometer motions of microscopic structures has been demonstrated. Stop-action images of a target have been obtained with computer microvision, microscopic interferometry, and stroboscopic illuminator. It can be developed for measuring the in-plane-rigid-body motions, surface shapes, out-of-plane motions and deformations of microstructures. A new algorithm of sub-pixel step length correlation template matching is proposed to extract the in-plane displacement from vision images. Hariharan five-step phase-shift interferometry algorithm and unwrapping algorithms are adopted to measure the out-of-plane motions. It is demonstrated that the system can measure the motions of solder wetting in surface mount technology(SMT). 展开更多

DRM is similar to static contact resistance measurement testing, but instead of measuring a single value when the breaker contacts are closed (static value), the ohmic resistance is measured at various contact positions, from the beginning of the contact opening until a complete separation of the contacts. The relationship between the contact resistances of the new circuit breaker and the ageing circuit breaker in operation provides subsidy for the evaluation of both the main and arcing contact conditions. This research aims to analyze the correlation between the various levels of degradation of the contacts and the configuration of the DRM curve. Dynamic oxygen storage and release capability (OSC) measurement apparatus was designed to evaluate the OSC performance of ceria-based oxygen storage material. The optimum measurement condition was at a frequency of 0.1 Hz with the inlet gas-flow sequence CO (5S)→O2(5S)→CO→O2 and a flow rate of 300 ml·min^-1. Under this condition, similar regular square wave in the inlet and outlet of the reactor was obtained to guarantee the reliability of the dynamic OSC results. The dynamic OSC performance of the CeO2 and Ce0.67Zr0.33O2 mixed oxide prepared using the citric sol-gel method was studied at the optimum measurement condition with focus on both quantitative and qualitative analyses, The results reveal distinctly that Ce0.67Zr0.33O2 had better dynamic OSC performance because of its higher oxygen migration rate than CeO2. Under dynamic conditions, two CO2 production peaks occurred corresponding to the CO pulse and the O2 pulse, respectively, during the entire cycle. The intensity and ratio between the two CO2 productions were highly influenced by temperature and frequency indicating complex surface phenomena during the oxygen storage/release process, As a result, this set-up can be applied to the evaluation of ceria-based material on the OSC performance. 展开更多

We can cite the voltage measurements through PTs (potential transformers). This is a classic example of inductive field measuring, predicting to be measured quantity is of oscillatory nature, with the circuit instrumentation scaled and calibrated for a typical frequency of 50/60 Hz. For a long time, only the binary information: "this field" and "missing field" is needed. For example, only with this information can we identify the frequency of the rotating shaft. Currently, new technologies employ magnetic sensors for measuring positions (distances, angles, etc.) from the intensity of the magnetic field. Inductive sensors are inefficient on measurements of static fields, such as magnets, opening spaces for new linear Hall effect sensors, and static which deal with these situations without difficulty. The present study examines the behavior of the Hall sensor, making the measurement of the intensity of the static magnetic field of the rotating magnet and the same, verifying the effect of the speed at which the magnet passes the sensor in some way alter the measurement. The results are favorable manda and the versatility of these sensors in many different applications. 展开更多

The optical phase-locked loop is established with a differential frequency-modulation module consists of a pair of acousto-optic modulators. The resonance-tracking loop is derived with the Pound-Drever-Hall technique for locking the heterodyne frequency of the OPLL on the frequency difference between adjacent resonance modes. A stable locking accuracy of about 7 × 10<sup>?9</sup> and a dynamic locking accuracy of about 5 × 10<sup>?8</sup> are achieved with the FSR of 8.155 MHz, indicating a bias stability of the resonator fiber optic gyro of about 0.1?/h with 10 Hz bandwidth. In addition, the thermal drift coefficient of the FSR is measured as 0.1 Hz/?C. A New Inertial Sensing System for Dynamic Measurement of Parallel Machines

One way to solve the problem of measurement precision caused by deformity for thermal expansion, friction and load etc is to use an inertial sensor to measure a change in the length of the rod on a parallel machine. However, the characteristic of dynamic measurement in the inertial sensing system and the effects of the machine's working environment, bias error, misalignment and wide band random noise in inertial measurement data results in the in-accuracy of system measurement. Therefore, on the basis of the measurement system a new inertial sensing system is proposed; the drifting of error is restrained with a method of inertial error correction and the system's position and the velocity state variables are predicted by the data fusion. After measuring the whole 300mm movement in an experiment, the analyses of the experimental result showed that the application of the new inertial sensing system can improve the positional accuracy about 61% and the movement precision more than 20%. Measurement results also showed that the application of the new inertial sensing system for dynamic measurement was a feasible method to improve the machine's dynamic positioning precision. And with the further improvement of the low-cost solid-stateacceleramenter technology, the application of the machine can take a higher position and make the speed dynamic accuracy possible. 展开更多
