Clinical review and literature analysis of hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma in alcoholic cirrhosis: A case report

BACKGROUND Hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma(HEA)has a low incidence and both clinical manifestations and imaging lack specificity.Thus,it is easy to misdiagnose HEA as other tumors of the liver,especially in the presence of liver diseases such as hepatitis cirrhosis.This article reviewed the diagnosis and treatment of a patient with HEA and alcoholic cirrhosis,and analyzed the literature,in order to improve the understanding of this disease.CASE SUMMARY A 67-year-old male patient with a history of alcoholic cirrhosis was admitted due to the discovery of a space-occupying lesion in the liver.Based on the patient’s history,laboratory examinations,and imaging examinations,a malignant liver tumor was considered and laparoscopic partial hepatectomy was performed.Postoperative pathology showed HEA.During outpatient follow-up,the patient showed no sign of recurrence.CONCLUSION HEA is difficult to make a definite diagnosis before surgery.HEA has the poten-tial for malignant degeneration.If conditions permit,surgical treatment is recom-mended.

Analysis of a Typical Case of Meteorological Service in Tangpu Reservoir

The continuous rainy precipitation process from February to March in 2019 was selected to analyze the effect of meteorological service in Tangpu Reservoir basin,so as to sum up service experience and then lay a better foundation for subsequent services.In response to the rainy weather from December 2018 to early 2019,three rounds of flood discharge were carried out in Tangpu Reservoir.During February-March in 2019,the hit rate of short-term area rainfall forecast for Tangpu Reservoir was 80.0%.Compared with the median of forecast interval,the average absolute error was 7.6 mm,and the relative error was 32.7%.The large deviation in the forecast from March 27 to 28 was deeply analyzed,and it is found that the main reasons were excessive reliance on and trust in a single model,insufficient correction of the actual situation,and insufficient judgment of the nature of precipitation.For the future reservoir meteorological service,three aspects of thinking were put forward,such as further strengthening the sharing of hydrological and meteorological information,improving the forecasting ability,and deepening the research of runoff forecast models.

With the conclusion of the novel coronavirus pandemic and the increasingly complex market environment,China’s cross-border e-commerce has entered a new phase of development.The external landscape is evolving rapidly,and there is a gradual improvement in laws and regulations governing cross-border e-commerce,coupled with increased government support.Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the market economy,overall development has been steadily improving.The Internet population is expanding,the online retail market is experiencing rapid growth,the consumption structure is undergoing transformation and upgrading,and the e-commerce market is demonstrating significant potential.The advancement of technologies such as big data,artificial intelligence,blockchain,and supply chain has provided more efficient operational support for the cross-border e-commerce industry.Against the backdrop of the emergence of new forms of cross-border e-commerce in China post-pandemic,this paper utilizes the PEST model to analyze the macro environment of cross-border e-commerce in China and project its future development trends.

Investigation and Countermeasures of the Development of Chinese Pharmaceutical E-commerce in the B2C Model Based on PEST-SWOT Analysis

Objective To analyze the problems of pharmaceutical e-commerce and provide strategies for its development in the future B2C mode since drug network management has great potential in China.Methods By collecting,identifying,and conducting literature research,PEST-SWOT identification and positioning of pharmaceutical e-commerce in the B2C mode were carried out.Results and Conclusion A PEST-SWOT analysis matrix was established to analyze the status of B2C pharmaceutical e-commerce,and to summarize its advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats from four perspectives of politics,economy,society and technology.Suggestions on cultivating compound talents proficient in medicine and e-commerce,exploring online payment methods for medical insurance,integration of upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and data sharing are put forward to promote the healthy and long-term development of pharmaceutical e-commerce under the background of big data.

Based on COVID-19,Analysis of the Strategic Model of E-commerce Enterprises-A Case Study of Xiaohongshu(RED)

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic,e-commerce and social media pervade people’s daily life,while offline businesses suffer from loss from traffic.In this paper the SWOT analysis method is employed to examine the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities,and threats for RED,which,as one of the top content social e-commerce platforms in China,achieves outstanding performance under the COVID-19 pandemic.This paper tackles RED’s unique marketing and operating strategies,as well as its weaknesses that relate to operation and costs,and threats that relate to competitors and commercialization.Beside these disadvantages,profitable opportunities also arise from internal and external environment.At the end,the paper provides suggestions for capturing profitable opportunities under the pandemic and Chinese new regulations on cross-border e-commerce.

Comparative Analysis of Profit Model of Typical Pharmaceutical O2O Enterprises in China

Objective To study the profit model of Chinese pharmaceutical O2O enterprises.Methods A case study of three typical pharmaceutical O2O enterprises was conducted,and their profit models were compared.Results and Conclusion The pharmaceutical O2O enterprises in China are divided into three categories according to the profit models.It is found that the current pharmaceutical O2O enterprises have problems such as simple profit model and low corporate profits.Based on these problems,it is recommended that relevant enterprises develop various business models to increase profit channels.Besides,they should establish and improve internal cost control systems.

Typhoon Case Comparison Analysis Between Heterogeneous Many-Core and Homogenous Multicore Supercomputing Platforms

In this paper,a typical experiment is carried out based on a high-resolution air-sea coupled model,namely,the coupled ocean-atmosphere-wave-sediment transport(COAWST)model,on both heterogeneous many-core(SW)and homogenous multicore(Intel)supercomputing platforms.We construct a hindcast of Typhoon Lekima on both the SW and Intel platforms,compare the simulation results between these two platforms and compare the key elements of the atmospheric and ocean modules to reanalysis data.The comparative experiment in this typhoon case indicates that the domestic many-core computing platform and general cluster yield almost no differences in the simulated typhoon path and intensity,and the differences in surface pressure(PSFC)in the WRF model and sea surface temperature(SST)in the short-range forecast are very small,whereas a major difference can be identified at high latitudes after the first 10 days.Further heat budget analysis verifies that the differences in SST after 10 days are mainly caused by shortwave radiation variations,as influenced by subsequently generated typhoons in the system.These typhoons generated in the hindcast after the first 10 days attain obviously different trajectories between the two platforms.

Approach to conceptual data integration for multidimensional data analysis in e-commerce

In e-commerce the multidimensional data analysis based on the Web data needs integrating various data sources such as XML data and relational data on the conceptual level. A conceptual data description approach to multidimensional data model the UML galaxy diagram is presented in order to conduct multidimensional data analysis for multiple subjects. The approach is illuminated using a case of 2_roots UML galaxy diagram that takes marketing analysis of TV products involved one retailer and several suppliers into consideration.

Financing Decisions Analysis of E-commerce Supply Chain Finance for Fresh Agricultural Products in China

The supply chain finance(SCF)solutions are becoming increasingly diversified with the continuous perfection of the economic system.However,financing for small and medium sized enterprises(SMEs)is still a difficult issue waiting to be solved by enterprises and the government in China.SCF solutions based on e-commerce platforms have developed rapidly in China that provide an alternative for SMEs when few studies have been conducted on e-commerce SCF solutions which focus on fresh agricultural products.Therefore,this research focuses on the SCF solutions applicable to e-commerce enterprises of fresh agricultural products.

Analysis on Attenuation Efficiency of Lightning Current by Lightning Interceptor

Lightning interception technology is one of the three core technical systems of regional lightning protection theory.Among them,the omni-directional multi-pulse lightning interceptor(hereinafter referred to as lightning interceptor,the same below)has the ability to attenuate lightning current≥40%and significantly reduce the intensity of the spatial electromagnetic field around the lightning point.In order to explore the attenuation mechanism and effect of lightning interceptor to lightning current,this paper analyzed a lightning stroke process at 16:00 on August 19,2022,and tried to explain the attenuation effect of lightning interceptor to lightning current with the physical parameters of lightning stroke.

Probabilistic approach for open pit bench slope stability analysis——A mine case study

The geotechnical slope design of an open pit wall starts at the bench scale configuration.At this scale,the rock slope stability is governed primarily by the geological discontinuities within the rock mass and as a result,structurally-controlled failures(e.g.planar,wedge or toppling)are most likely to occur.The probabilistic approach offers a major advantage over the traditional deterministic method in that it accounts for the different degrees of variability and uncertainty often encountered in rock properties.This paper presents a bench slope stability assessment for an open pit mine in Peru using a probabilistic-based approach by coupling a kinematic analysis based on stereographic projection techniques followed by a kinetic analysis by means of the limit equilibrium method.Finally,these two probabilities are combined to provide an overall measure of the probability of failure(PoF)of the bench slope system.The case study is characterized by significant scatter in the geometrical and mechanical properties of the joints.Extensive surface mapping was conducted at 36 different sites following the ISRM suggested procedures.Several direct shear tests were carried out.It is shown that by combining field and laboratory measurements and engineering judgment,the probability density functions(PDF)of the discontinuity parameters can be obtained.These are then used in a Monte Carlo simulation process to compute both kinematic and kinetic probabilities of failure.The overall probability of failure aims to provide the design engineer with a tool to critically evaluate the bench performance from a geotechnical risk perspective and to provide a basis for future bench design optimization.

Transaction Frequency Based Trust for E-Commerce

Most traditional trust computing models in E-commerce do not take the transaction frequency among participating entities into consideration,which makes it easy for one party of the transaction to obtain a high trust value in a short time,and brings many disadvantages,uncertainties and even attacks.To solve this problem,a transaction frequency based trust is proposed in this study.The proposed method is composed of two parts.The first part is built on the classic Bayes analysis based trust modelswhich are ease of computing for the E-commerce system.The second part is the transaction frequency module which can mitigate the potential insecurity caused by one participating entity gaining trust in a short time.Simulations show that the proposed method can effectively mitigate the self-promoting attacks so as to maintain the function of E-commerce system.

Since coffee is gradually becoming popular in China,the promising market prospect that China’s coffee market has is appealing to multiple companies.Starbucks,a successful business magnate in the coffee market around the globe,occupies a huge market share in China’s coffee market.Nevertheless,numerous competitors,especially domestic coffee brands in China,and the hit caused by the COVID-19 epidemic put great pressure on the company.Furthermore,the company itself also has some weaknesses currently,which can affect the corporation negatively.As a result,based on the background of China’s coffee market and the enterprise’s own situation,this article mainly pays attention to three vulnerabilities,giving an analysis of these problems,and some suggestions will be provided correspondingly.

Oxaliplatin-induced severe anaphylactic reactions in metastatic colorectal cancer: Case series analysis

AIM: To investigate oxaliplatin-induced severe anaphylactic reactions (SAR) in metastatic colorectal cancer in a retrospective case series analysis and to conduct a systemic literature review. METHODS: During a 6-year period from 2006 to 2011 at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, a total of 412 patients exposed to oxaliplatin-related chemotherapy were retrospectively reviewed. Relevant Englishlanguage studies regarding life-threatening SAR following oxaliplatin were also reviewed in MEDLINE and PubMed search. RESULTS: Eight patients (1.9%, 8 of 412 cases) were identified. Seven patients were successful resuscitated without any sequelae and one patient expired. We changed the chemotherapy regimen in five patients and rechallenged oxaliplatin use in patient 3. Twenty-three relevant English-language studies with 66 patients were reported. Patients received a median of 10 cycles of oxaliplatin (range, 2 to 29). Most common symptoms were respiratory distress (60%), fever (55%), and hypotension (54%). Three fatal events were reported (4.5%). Eleven patients (16%) of the 66 cases were rechallenged by oxaliplatin. CONCLUSION: SAR must be considered in patients receiving oxaliplatin-related chemotherapy, especially in heavily pretreated patients. Further studies on the mechanism, predictors, preventive methods and management of oxaliplatin-related SAR are recommended.

Diagnostic value of interleukin-8 in colorectal cancer:A case-control study and meta-analysis

AIM:To assess the diagnostic value of serum interleukin-8(IL-8)in the detection of colorectal cancer(CRC).METHODS:An original study was conducted to explore the potential value of IL-8 in CRC diagnosis.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)analysis was performed and the area under the curve(AUC)value was calculated.PUBMED and EMBASE were searched(to October,2013),supplemented with manual screening for relevant publications.Meta-analysis methods were applied to pool sensitivity,specificity,positive and negative likelihood ratios,and diagnostic odds ratios and to construct a summary receiver-operating characteristic(s ROC)curve.Heterogeneity across studies was checked by the I2 test and Deek’s funnel plot method was applied to test publication bias.RESULTS:In our original study,serum IL-8 yielded an AUC of 0.742[95%CI:0.635-0.849].The sensitivity and specificity were 85.42%and 54.05%,respectively,at a cut-off value of 5.39.In this meta-analysis,we included five studies with 668 CRC patients and 374controls and one study in our own center with 48 CRC patients and 37 controls.The pooled sensitivity and specificity of IL-8 were 0.69(95%CI:0.42-0.87)and0.85(95%CI:0.68-0.94)for CRC detection.Besides,the area under the s ROC curve was 0.86(95%CI:0.82-0.88).Subgroup analysis suggested that there was no heterogeneity in the Asian subgroup but some in the European subgroup.In addition,no publication bias was found according to the Deek’s funnel plot asymmetry test.CONCLUSION:Serum IL-8 is a promising biomarker for CRC detection and may become a clinically useful tool to identify high-risk patients.
