At present,the development of e-commerce is slow for agricultural products in China. Taking agricultural workers as the research object,this paper analyzed factors influencing the implementation of e-commerce of agricultural products. Besides,from the enterprise status,market conditions,and groundings,with the aid of the GEM( Groundings-Enterprises-Markets) model,it evaluated the factors influencing the development of e-commerce of agricultural products. Then,using SPSS software,it analyzed factors and came up with improvement recommendations. The results show that 59% of the respondents are willing to conduct e-commerce,and the status of the enterprises,market conditions and groundings are main factors influencing the implementation of e-commerce of agricultural products. Therefore,it is required to increase industrial concentration,promote cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises( SMEs),and strengthen infrastructure construction,so as to promote the development of e-commerce of agricultural products. 展开更多

With the extensive use of the Internet and mobile technology, E-commerce in China has shown tremendous growth advantages and market potential, especially in promoting the access of eco-agriculture products. The E-commerce of agriculture products has shown diversification on the mainstay. "Three products, one indication"(pollution-free, green product, organic product, geographical indication) has becomes the primary character. Although the market of fresh products occupies a limited and meager profit, the blue sea effect has caused capital to enter into a large-scale development. It is very clearly shown after the analysis that the market of eco-agricultural E-commerce is vast and the expansionist policy for E-commerce environment is favorable. Meanwhile the required hardware and software of network in E-commerce are basically equipped with rapid development of service technology and strong driving force for innovation and development as well as an endless stream of new models and platforms. The whole phrase of development can be divided into five major stages. Through the analysis of five perspectives, such as platform, driver, participant, food supplier and Taobao, 16 types of agro-products E-commerce models and their different types of e-payment support systems are summarized, revealing the two major bottlenecks of development, namely the markets with limited share and low profit-making and the impact of cold chain services on E-commerce development. The rapid development of cross-border e-commerce,especially since Chengdu was listed as an Integrated Pilot Zone for Cross-Border E-Commerce in 2016,has led to a rising trade value of agricultural products in the metropolis.This upward trend is also attributed to the China-Europe Railway Express and the Chengdu International Aviation Hub Integrated Functional Area,two infrastructure systems that have opened more international logistics channels for agricultural products in Sichuan province.However,the development of cross-border logistics has failed to respond to the rapid growth of cross-border e-commerce for agricultural products.This problem has given rise to longer delivery cycles,higher costs,and reduced product quality,hindering the development of cross-border e-commerce for agricultural products.Currently,most research efforts are focused on selecting a logistics mode which has created an urgency is to establish a logistics system.To that end,we must utilize the opportunities and preferential policies brought about by the Belt and Road Initiative to advance the establishment of a cross-border logistics system for agricultural products,which will create more channels for selling Sichuan’s agricultural products overseas.This article analyzes the current situation of the cross-border logistics system for agricultural products produced by the province and studies the potential relationships between a logistics system and cross-border trade of agricultural products.It seeks to build a logistics system that meets the demands of cross-border transactions using economic theories focused on cross-border e-commerce and logistics.Such a logistic system will help shorten long delivery cycles,cut delivery costs,and guarantee the quality of agricultural products.Also,it can contribute to the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce of agricultural products and solve problems in developing the agricultural products logistics system of Sichuan province. 展开更多

The aim of the current research was to analyze how the performance management system of China’s cross-border e-commerce enterprises affects employee productivity.The study was guided by the following research objectives:to investigate the performance management system on employee productivity in cross-border e-commerce enterprises in China;to determine the relationship between the performance management system and employee productivity in cross-border e-commerce enterprises in China.The study adopted a quantitative approach to the effects of performance management practices on employee productivity.The dependent variables included performance appraisals,reward systems,and performance feedback,and the implications on employee productivity as the independent variable.The target population is comprised of 400 employees in China’s cross-border e-commerce enterprises.Descriptive statistics were utilized as a data analysis tool.The demographic profiles of the respondents were analyzed using percentages and frequencies.Inferential statistics such as correlation and regression analysis established the relationship between dependent and independent variables.The study recommends that the performance management practices should be optimized to improve employee performance.Performance reviews should be focused on the contributions of the individual employees to meet the organizational objectives.For every possible opportunity,the manager should formally recognize good employee efforts for enhanced work performance.Effective performance management practices that edify appraisal and reward should be used to achieve organization goals and enhance employee productivity. 展开更多

The im... Information technology (IT) was one of the most intensively studied and extensively applied technologies in the 20th century and its research and application will be even more accelerated in the 21st century. The impact of IT is more farreaching than any one may have had imagined, encompassing all facets and sectors of society. Economically, e-commerce generated more than $1.5 trillion in the US in 2004 and is projected to be 30, 15 and 2.6% of the total manufacturing, whole sales and retail sales in the US in 2006 respectively. IT research in agriculture has so far been particularly applied to such fields as precision farming and bioinformatics and in extension and farming practices. As such, its potential application in agricultural e-commerce has only begun to be explored. The United States Department of Agriculture has identified four different functions that e-commerce firms perform in the agricultural sector. They are: (1) information distribution, (2) input supply, (3) commodity trading floor, and (4) logistics/supply chain management. Unlike other industrial products, agricultural products are much more diverse and difficult to process and handle. For instance, fruits and vegetables are perishable and have to reach the market and the hands of consumers within a short period of time. One of the problems for IT applications in agriculture is the lack of standard measures in characteristics and quality of perishable produce and processing foods. Standards are pre-requisites for effective IT application and e-commerce. According to the Global Commerce Initiative, standards bring scalability, portability and affordability to the business process. Standards speed up the supply chain and reduce errors and protect technology investments and ensure system to system interaction and interoperability. Because the complexity of issues involved in standardization, the process of standardization must involve the input and discussion from all segments of the society. Being the largest agricultural country in the world and one of the most active trading partners in the international market, China must also be involved in determining the standards for both domestic and international trades. These measures are the necessary foundations for e-commerce in agriculture. In this paper, we provide a review of the technological development of standardization and coding that are prerequisites for IT application in e-commerce. This understanding is important for professionals in China to promote e- commerce in agriculture. Finally, we propose that a national committee to be formed in China, which includes IT experts from private sectors, academic professionals and governmental officials. This committee should consider the progress being made elsewhere in the world, the unique properties of Chinese commodities and appropriate business models to determine a set of standard measures that are transportable and communicable digitally in the world market for China's e- commerce in agriculture. 展开更多

This research aims to study an online distribution of community enterprise products,to design the management system for an e-commerce distribution channel,and to compare the efficiency of distribution channels through a developed e-commerce system and ready web.A personal interview survey method was used to collect data on the production,marketing,and online selling issues.In total 150 community enterprise entrepreneurs in five product categories(food,appliance/home decoration,beverage,garment/ornament and non-food herb)and 50 consumers were equally selected by judgment sampling method.The e-commerce channel that was developed is our website and social network website that was selected to compare the efficiency of distribution channels is Facebook.The research found that only 14.67%of community enterprise entrepreneurs sell products through online channel.The product which was sold through the developed website and maximized gross profit is food(35.53%of total revenue).The others,are beverage,non-food herb,appliance/home decoration,and garment/ornament,earn gross profit 31.50%,22.39%,9.78%and 0.80%of total revenue,respectively.The result of distribution channels comparison between our website and webpages on Facebook found that Facebook has the ability to reach customers 2,811 times more than the website 64.75%,which has only 991 times.Regarding to sales,it is found that revenue from Facebook is higher than the website in all product categories. 展开更多

Assessment of Climate for Agricultural Suitability and Optimal Allocation of Agricultural Production in the Guanzhong Region, Shaanxi Province 被引量:2

Based on spatial climatic data of agriculture and the experiment data, the models of agro-ecological assessment of climate for agricultural suitability in this study were developed using the fuzzy mathematical method. Three coefficients, in- cluding the resource coefficient (Cr), the efficiency coefficient (Ce), and the utility co- efficient (K), were used in the models, which were calculated based on temperature, moisture, and sunshine duration data of Guanzhong region, Shaanxi Province. The results indicated that resource coefficient was higher in west of the region than that in east, and higher in south (especially in the Central Shaanxi Plain) than that in the Weibei plateau. The value of Cr changed from 6.5 to 9.2 from north to plain area. Spatial change of efficiency coefficient was obvious, lower in the northeast than in the central plain, and the value of Ce changed from 2.3 to 6.5 from the northeast to the central plain. As for utility coefficient, it was lower in northeastern part of the Weibei plateau and in southern mountain areas than that in the central plain, showing significant latitudinal zonality. Furthermore, the value of K increased from 0.35 to 0.78 from northeast to the central plain, and decreased from 0.78 to 0.53 from the central plain to southern mountain areas. These indicated that climate resource in the central plain region was more abundant and potential, compared with other regions. GuanZhong region was classified into three larger agricultural zones and three small independent zones, according to agro-ecological assessment. Light, heat and water resources should be made use of in an efficient way in spatial allo- cation of agricultural production. For example, water facilities should also be im- proved in Weibei plateau region where highly-qualified fruit should be enhanced and fruit processing industrial chain should be shaped. Large-scale production area of wheat should be increased in central irrigation region and more vegetable bases should be developed around large and medium-scale cities. Thanks for outstanding water conservation function, the three-dimensional agriculture including medicine and other sideline production should be developed in Qinling Mountains and the special- ized commercial agriculture should be accelerated in independent small zones, ac- cording to local conditions. In the research, different crop varieties were developed in corresponding regions as per current eco-climatic conditions. 展开更多

Decision and Coordination of an E-commerce Supply Chain Considering Returns and Network Externalities

Considering the large number of returns in online sales and the network externalities of e-platforms,we develop a decentralized model and a centralized model to explore the impacts of returns and network externalities on e-commerce supply chain(ECSC)decisions.We show that in the decentralized model,the service level,price,market demand,and ECSC members’profits increase with the network externality strength.However,the service level and price increase,while the market demand and ECSC members’profits decrease with the product return rate.The centralized model is the optimal operating mode when it is properly coordinated.We design the“commission and return cost-sharing”contract to optimize ECSC,in which the proportion of the e-platform’s sharing of the return handling cost is exactly equal to the proportion of the system profit after coordination.Based on the decentralized model,we develop two extended models in which we endogenize the impacts of the service level and return rate on the network externality strength.Through comparisons between the extended and decentralized models,we show that high-quality service can improve ECSC’s profitability,while a high return rate hurts its economic performance. 展开更多
