A titanosilicate Ti-ECNU-8 with a FER type sub-zeolite structure was developed by pots-synthesis and applied to the epoxdiation of alkenes with hydrogen peroxide.A controlled acid treatment on the pure silica layered ...A titanosilicate Ti-ECNU-8 with a FER type sub-zeolite structure was developed by pots-synthesis and applied to the epoxdiation of alkenes with hydrogen peroxide.A controlled acid treatment on the pure silica layered precursor PLS-3 of FER topology gave rise to a sub-zeolite ECNU-8.Composed of a collection of FER sheets without an ordered stacking manner along layer related[100]direction,the structure of ECNU-8 was constructed by a reorientation of interlayer hydrogen bond moieties caused by partial removal of interlayer organic structure directing agent.ECNU-8 possessed an external surface area enlarged by ca.30% in comparison to corresponding three-dimensional FER zeolite.Through a solid-gas reaction with TiCl4 vapor,tetrahedral Ti active sites were introduced into the framework.The resultant Ti-ECNU-8 retained the structural properties of ECNU-8,and exhibited an excellent catalytic performance for the epoxidation of cycloalkenes owing to the accessible Ti sites located in open reaction space.展开更多
This article describes a new method of urban pluvial flood modeling by coupling the 1D storm water management model(SWMM)and the 2D flood inundation model(ECNU Flood-Urban).The SWMM modeling results(the overflow of th...This article describes a new method of urban pluvial flood modeling by coupling the 1D storm water management model(SWMM)and the 2D flood inundation model(ECNU Flood-Urban).The SWMM modeling results(the overflow of the manholes)are used as the input boundary condition of the ECNU Flood-Urban model to simulate the rainfall–runoff processes in an urban environment.The analysis is applied to the central business district of East Nanjing Road in downtown Shanghai,considering 5-,10-,20-,50-,and 100-year return period rainfall scenarios.The results show that node overflow,water depth,and inundation area increase proportionately with the growing return periods.Water depths are mostly predicted to be shallow and surface flows generally occur in the urban road network due to its low-lying nature.The simulation result of the coupled model proves to be reliable and suggests that urban surface water flooding could be accurately simulated by using this methodology.Adaptation measures(upgrading of the urban drainage system)can then be targeted at specific locations with significant overflow and flooding.展开更多
Three different“logics”—that of the internal strategies of the institutions,the economic pressures of the socialist market economy and the political policies of the state drive the development of a university.The d...Three different“logics”—that of the internal strategies of the institutions,the economic pressures of the socialist market economy and the political policies of the state drive the development of a university.The dynamic interaction and coexistence of the three logics has determined the transformation models of teacher-education or normal universities in China.This paper aims at describing and analyzing both the process and the forces that led to these transformations by taking East China Normal University(ECNU),Southwest University(SWU)and Yanbian University(YBU)as examples.Reliance on government and market resources has put these universities into a dilemma:On the one hand,they wanted to retain their original features so as to preserve their leading position in the“teacher education”market,and on the other,they needed to merge,expand,restructure and enhance their quality as they pursued overall development.The case analyses show that the teacher-education university’s need for self-development,which is the internal determinant,plays a critical role in its transformation.At the same time,the socioeconomic environment and national policies influence the institution while it displays considerable capacity for self-adjustment.展开更多
