It applies the basis toestablish a sound development planning. In this paper, by applying multi-dimension niche concept, an eco-logical niche suitability (ENS) model was developed. The ENS model, combined with geographical informa-tion system (GIS) and spatial simulation, was used to analyze regional resources and environmental features ,and identify the suitability of regional resource and environment to regional development. This paper described the main four basic models of ideal landscape in the Mount Lushan National Park as Kunlunshan model, Xumishan model, Peach flower land model, Christian model. Five typical places in Mount Lushan with the ideal landscape characteristics like the East Grove Temple, White Deer Cave Academy, Simplicity and Tranquility Monastery, Lushan Valley, and Villa-cluster of the East Valley were analyzed, and the integration of the basic models for each place was discussed to make the realistic landscape conform to the ideal needs. Moreover, the discussions also involved the characteristics of ideal landscape that are featured in resource, culture, structure, function, process, scale and region. In conclusion, ideal landscape in the Mount Lushan National Park was the product of the interaction between human and nature. Mount Lushan inherits the essence of Chinese traditional culture with a history of more than 1000 years; and it also absorbs the manna of the Western culture as well as the exchanges between nature and humanities together with the conflict and adaptation among different cultures. The natural landscape could be satisfied with the survival demand and cultural taste of mankind by the way of ecological planning. 展开更多

The first area in China to which the McHargian approach to landscape planning was applied was the Hangzhou Bay area on the central coast. Using published maps and documents and analyzing remote sensing data, an ecological inventory (GIS) was first developed. Based on these data, several criteria for land and water use suitability evaluation were produced. These were then overlayed to evaluate the entire region for several categories of land and water uses, and a suitability synthesis map was produced. This map became the basis for developing several possible concepts and plans for the sustainable development of the region. It is a timely and much needed approach in a rapidly developing country like China if development is to fulfill both present needs and allow future generations to fulfill theirs too. 展开更多

The construction of International Tourism Island has accelerated the development of Sanya City. The population aggregation and the external extension of urban area have brought a lot of negative effects, such as discontinuities of green space matrix, dysfunction of green wedge permeation, deficiency of eco-corridor, structural imbalance of green space system and so on. The overall layout of Green space system known as "One Belt & Three Bays, One Core & Six Towns, Two Axes & Three Wedges, Two Net Synchronous-construction" strengthens the eco-connection among different groups and green space in central area of the city, and realizes the collaborative construction of both resource corridor and landscape corridor. The eco-layout of green core, green corridor and green patch helps keep the integrity of large vegetation patches, enhances the eco-connection of different types of green space and improves finger-shaped network of urban green space. The most efficient way to promote the circulation of urban ecosystem and the positive development of Sanya City is to plan multilevel and three-dimensional eco-space structure and maximize ecological benefits of green space system. 展开更多

Based on the generalized landscape perspective, regional connotation of urban river landscape is expanded. The area connotation of urban river landscape is expanded based on the generalized landscape perspective. In addition to natural and functional attributes, river landscape should be regarded as a regional space element based on heterogeneous space scale. First, as for research method system, the space research models(including ecological footprint, space planning, and landscape pattern index, etc.) coupled with different angle scales and interdisciplinary theory, are utilized to study different correlations and results formed by urban river landscape elements and other regional space elements from the perspective of the regional ecological space, and the overall development goal of the urban river landscape pattern based on the goals of the regional ecological space planning is obtained. Second, the oriented urban river landscape planning and the "M" type close-tonature design strategy are evaluated through the city function zoning orientation and micro-scale urban river landscape pattern index. The research realizes the compatibility of overall goals in terms of the regional ecology, the development of urban functional areas, and the river landscape planning, without losing micro difference and maneuverability based on the urban river landscape planning and design oriented strategy, which innovates the new approach of urban river landscape planning and design with sustainable and balanced development of regional resources, multi-scale, and multiple objectives. 展开更多

Dynamic seasonal analysis on LST-NDVI relationship and ecological health of Raipur City,India

Land surface temperature(LST)is a significant component of the ecological health of any city and the LST is closely related to the normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI).The present study evaluates the seasonal variability of the relationship of LST with NDVI by using a large dataset of Landsat sensors for different seasons from 1991-92 to 2018-19.Pearson’s correlation coefficient technique was used to obtain the LST-NDVI relationship.The study also compares the ecological and thermal status of the city by applying the urban thermal field variance index(UTFVI).The results found that the mean LST increased considerably.The post-monsoon season produces the best correlation(−0.59),followed by the monsoon season(−0.53),pre-monsoon season(−0.45),and winter season(−0.22).Apart from this relationship,the ecological status of the city has also been estimated.Almost an equal portion of lands are under the excellent and worst categories of ecological condition.This study is beneficial for future ecological planning in any tropical city. 展开更多
