“Flipped Classroom” Teaching Model Research: A Case Study of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Practice (Theory)”

The flipped classroom model differs significantly from the traditional classroom teaching model and offers numerous advantages. This article draws inspiration from the flipped classroom concept, using the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Practice (Theory)” course as an example to introduce the innovation and characteristics of the flipped classroom model: it is problem-oriented, addressing the “pain points” in teaching, motivating students towards “active learning,” and integrating diverse teaching methods. In the conclusion, the article proposed suggestions on the application of this model, encouraging teachers to summarize their teaching experiences, enhance their knowledge base, and foster students’ awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Experiences of Practical Nurses in Promoting the Rehabilitation of the Elderly and Their Education - A Secondary Publication

The significance of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care is emphasized in aging Finland. According to studies, rehabilitation-promoting nursing care enhances the functional capacity of the elderly. The Elderly Services Act obliges municipalities to create a plan to support the elderly population, emphasizing home care and rehabilitation measures. A large portion of graduated practical nurses will be working with the elderly, so the education of practical nurses must meet the needs of the workforce. The study aimed to produce new information on the implementation of rehabilitation- promoting nursing care in the elderly service system and on the education of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care for the elderly in vocational institutions. The research data was collected in the autumn of 2020 through individual thematic interviews with practical nurse students (n = 8). The data was analyzed using inductive content analysis. Practical nurse students’ experiences of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care for the elderly were related to nurses’ time management, organizational practices, nursing competence, nurses’ attitudes, nurses’ practices, organizational development, implementation and development of practical education, factors affecting the use of aids, and technological aspects of aids in the future. In conclusion, it can be stated that the content of education and practical work life do not align. It is essential to increase competence in rehabilitation-promoting nursing care and to develop organizational practices.

A Study of Innovative Education Practice Model to Strengthen the Training of Educational and Teaching Ability for Normal-school Students

Educational practice is far from being paid enough attention to in normal colleges and universities in China, and it has become aweak link in normal education. This problem is mainly manifested in the following aspects: the concept and content of educationalpractice lag behind the educational reform;the time of educational practice is too short;and the practice base is lacking. Therefore,innovative education practice mode is extremely important. In this paper, the problems existing in the educational practice ofnormal universities in China were analyzed, and the main countermeasures for the reform of the educational practice model ofnormal universities were put forward.

Practice education is an important part of application-oriented higher education. Current Situation of the Teaching of Ophthalmology in General Practice Medical Education and the Application of TBL

Ophthalmology is an integral part of general practice education,and it is of great significance to have some knowledge on ophthalmology even if the general practitioner is not an ophthalmologist.The subject characteristics,the traditional mode of teaching,and the cognitive deviation of students have greatly influenced its teaching quality.The application of team-based learning(TBL)in ophthalmology education responds to the demand of modern medical education.Building a team,designing questions that combine theory and clinical practice,as well as employing a fair scoring system can stimulate students’learning interest and improve their learning autonomy and ability to ask questions and solve problems.

Contribution of International and Comparative Approach to the Policy and Practice of Teacher Education

Educational Innovation in Lying Flat Phenomenon-A Case Study of the Balinese Teaching Experience

Lying flat(Tang Ping)is a prevalent way of life in contemporary countries throughout the world.It is an avoidance behavior chosen by individuals in response to limited social resources and ongoing harsh social competition.Previous studies have demonstrated that the phenomena of“lying flat”has a major negative effect on student learning.In order to investigate the impact of educational innovation on the phenomenon of“lying flat”,we will observe students’learning behaviors under the traditional education model and innovative teaching methods in our Bali teaching practice to determine the causes of“lying flat”and the means to improve educational innovation.The study found that“lying flat”is caused not just by students’discontent with their level difference,but also by the conflict between external resources and internal pressure.In addition,educational reforms on three levels,including further stratified education,strengthening teacher education and promoting effective communication between students and teachers,and employing online resources to promote students’interest in learning,can ameliorate the phenomenon of pupils“lying flat”.This study contends that educational innovation can have a positive effect on the phenomena of“lying flat”.

Analysis of the Teaching Mode of College English Reading Teaching Based on Flipped Classroom Model

With the continuous development of the times, people’s thinking is constantly improving, and the importance of educa-tion is also increasing. As many new teaching models are emerging, the network course education represented by flipped classroomand MOOC education are increasingly attracting the attention of all walks of life with its unique advantages. The teaching of Eng-lish reading is a key point in College English education. However, the reality of College English reading education is not satisfacto-ry due to certain factors. This paper aims to discuss the implication of flipped classroom mode in college English reading teaching,hoping to provide references for the relevant parties.

Physical literacy in the field of physical education——A challenge and a possibility

Publications of articles with physical literacy as a topic have increased dramatically since the beginning of 2000 s. The aim of this paper is to,through an explorative literature overview with an inductive approach, analyze frequent, and significant themes in published peer reviewed articles,with a focus on physical literacy. The database EBSCO has been used with the identifiers “physical literacy” and “physical literacy and evidence”.Furthermore ICSSPE Bulletin＇s special issue on physical literacy has been included in the overview. The findings have resulted in three key themes： assumptions of the concept physical literacy and its educative role, sports development and physical literacy, and assessment and physical literacy. Future studies are needed to examine if the advocated pedagogical strategies based on the concept physical literacy have led to a reorganized and revitalized school subject. There is also an existing critique towards making physical literacy an idealistic neutral concept or synonym with fundamental movement skills or sports talent identification. The role of higher education emerges as crucial for the next step of the development of the scientific framework as this involves how physical literacy will be socially configured, nurtured, and embodied in practice.Copyright ó 2015, Shanghai University of Sport. For a Pedagogy of Care

Today, philosophy as well as other sciences identifies care as a primary concept to reflect upon, and if we contemplate our own experience, the ontological and existential primacy of caring becomes apparent. Starting from these premises, it is fundamental to reinterpret education from the perspective of the concept of care. To contribute to the development of this pedagogical debate, the aim of this paper is to identify the ways of behaving which qualify the competence of an educator as capable of providing care. This is a central pedagogical question; indeed, since the practice of care occurs in relationships where the educator is the subject responsible for ensuring that the relationship is permeated by care. As such, a core task of pedagogical reflection is identifying the relational postures which shape good care.

Exploring Education for Sustainable Development in a Chinese Kindergarten:An Action Research

Purpose:This article was intended to share and reflect on experiences concerning the education for sustainable development(ESD)project at Hongqiao Kindergarten in Shanghai.The project aimed to explore how ESD could be implemented in a current curriculum and to provide useful examples of educational activities and experiences.Design/Approach/Methods:The action research included two cycles with four steps.The first cycle involved the integration of ESD into a traditional science curriculum.The second cycle involved the validation and optimization of the ESD objectives.The implementation strategies were reviewed and refined.Findings:First,a variety of strategies can be used to identify the theme and choose the content.Second,the objectives should be developed on children’s life experiences and interests.Third,the idea of ESD can be implemented in multiple ways.Fourth,a reasonable objective system involving ESD was constructed for children by ages.Fifth,there were many effective ways to integrate ESD activities into other domains of curriculum.The challenges and implications were also discussed.Originality/Value:The study had a positive effect on teachers’ability to practice ESD.This was a pioneer project in early childhood education in China,which provided valuable information for those aiming to implement ESD practices in Chinese kindergartens.

A GOOD EXAMPLE OF PARENT ADVOCACY FOR RIGHTS IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN CHINA

While children with disabilities experience exclusion and segregation in education, parents＇ involvement has been very limited due to the lack of parent support in China. Negative attitudes toward disability in an environment deeply influenced by the individual model of disability thinking makes it crucial for parents to advocate for their children＇s rights in inclusive education through collaborative and organized efforts. This article examines barriers obstructing disabled children＇s rights in pursuing inclusive education, barriers parents face to advocate for their children, and the development of parent support. The author argues that equal and inclusive education for all has a broader social impact beyond disability rights to eliminate barriers and pursue dignity for all. In doing so, the author reveals existing structural inequalities facing inclusive education, encourages the momentum for future changes, and utilizes a good example of parent advocacy for a deeper and meaningful policy advancement to overcome discrimination on the basis of disability that causes segregation and exclusion in education. Recommendations include strategies for the construction of a support network for parents to play their important roles in advancing the rights of their disabled children in inclusive education.

Encouraging active learning when teaching geospatial sciences

In today’s world,higher education,especially in technical sciences,is crucial when speaking about a change in values and attitudes towards sustainability.Engaging students in learning and training process as well as developing their research skills and creative capacity is challenging.This study inquiries into the current academic activities and role of used educational technologies and methodologies for encouraging active learning in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs when teaching any engineering course in general,and geospatial sciences in particular.The result of the study suggests the importance of interdisciplinary project and problem-based learning,building partnership with universities,students and industrial companies,monitoring,developing,and implementation of new educational technologies.
