Chinese Education Modernization:A Case Study on Ideological and Political Theories Teaching in All Courses with Organic Integration of Cultural Literacy and Political Education

Chinese education modernization is integral to Chinese modernization,and is of leading significance to the further advancement of Chinese modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In this paper,taking ideological and political theories teaching in all courses as an example,an attempt is made to organically integrate cultural literacy and political education under the vision of Chinese education modernization,and“gathers knowledge heritage in the dissemination of value and leads the values in the dissemination of knowledge,”thereby training students into highcaliber talents with good and all-round moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetical,and labor grounding.

Analysis of the Influence and Countermeasures of China’s New Educational Policy“Double Reduction”-Take an After-School English Training Institution as an Example

Recently,the Chinese government has published a new policy,called“Double Reduction”,addressing the problems of the workloads of the students under high school,and in the after-school training institution.Under this current situation,many after-school training institutions are confronting serious difficulties,even have to shut down and exit the market.Thus,it is of great significance to carefully analyze and discuss the influence on a certain case and its countermeasures.The article discusses the background of the“Double Reduction”policy,which is exam-oriented education,quality-oriented education,and education modernization.The article analyzes the influence and countermeasures of the“Double Reduction”on a medium size after-school English training institution in Wenzhou,Zhejiang,China.By using the method of interview,this article presents specific data about the influence and detailed plans of transition.

The report of the Educational sector in China advocates modern education technology,and now a new round of curriculum reform has thoroughly revised the curriculum standards of middle school students in various subjects,and penetrated modern educational technology into the teaching of various subjects.In recent years,the education department has raised the importance of vocational education,changed the concept of education for teachers and students,vocational education is in the fastest-growing period,the majority of secondary vocational education students has greatly improved,the curriculum is colorful.We should make good use of all kinds of the up-to-dated educational technologies in various subjects.However,in the process of education,the basic level of secondary vocational students is relatively poor phenomenon slowly appeared,which is a common problem in secondary vocational education,so we should strengthen the modern education technology in English subjects of the value of education.English,like our mother tongue,has a wealth of humanistic knowledge and spiritual connotation.Many English teachers in secondary vocational school simply teach basic English knowledge aspects and English grammars.It only lets the most vocational students to learn only the most basic English textbook knowledge,and then English teachers find many bad aspects,such as:students do not understand foreign culture;Therefore,secondary vocational English teachers in the English classroom to penetrate modern education technology,is the most important measure.So,as an English teacher,how to modernize secondary school students in classroom teaching?This article mainly talks about the teaching of secondary English subjects lack modern education technology and its teaching strategies.

The shared course and flipped course of Modern Educational Technology were constructed and applied based on the wisdom tree platform.The OMO teaching mode of"two courses,three links and two main subjects"was constructed according to the course teaching practice,and the teaching practice was carried out.The main teaching links and teaching quality assurance system of the mode were expounded and the application effect was analyzed from the three aspects of student evaluation,course performance and course goal achievement value.The problems in the application of the mode were discussed,and some improvement measures were put forward from the aspects of students,teachers and schools.

The high-quality development of a country driven by talent necessitates comprehensive and practical STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,and Mathematics)education.The goal of localizing STEM education is to cultivate comprehensive innovative technology talents that meet the needs of the new era.STEM teachers play a core role in this concept,and the quality of teacher training directly determines the development trend of STEM education and the quality of future talents in the country.Therefore,based on the current situation and existing problems in STEM teacher training,the shared commitment to“high-quality STEM teacher training”is employed as a guiding principle,highlighting the role of various elements in the STEM teacher training process.The practical path for STEM teacher training is proposed from four aspects:top-level design goal orientation,resource integration to solve supply imbalance,curriculum construction to improve the teaching system,and sustainable development to enhance professional ability.This study hopes to provide guidelines for innovative training of localized STEM teachers in China.

A Curriculum Cluster Teaching Model of Software Engineering from the Metaverse Perspective

To solve the teaching difficulties,including hard cultivating engineering thinking,a reasonable transition of professional training,and deep cooperation of students,which impeded the cultivation effectiveness of students’ability to solve complex engineering problems,the paper proposed a Zongheng group teaching model of curriculum cluster based on projects.Firstly,from the perspective of Metaverse,and considering the professional,current teaching situation and learning situation,we analyzed the professional background and proposed the Zongheng group teaching model of curriculum cluster.Then,the connotation,teaching construction and implementation details are explained.After that,we summarized the teaching effect about the 2 years of exploration and practice in the major of software engineering at College of Computer and Information Technology in Mudanjiang Normal University,to clarify the effect of teaching reform.2 years of teaching practice shows that making full use of the advantages of curriculum cluster,Zongheng group and the project-based teaching method,the long-range training,in-depth student cooperation,and the students’ability of solving complex engineering problems are improved.

MET as Program Resources for College English Teaching and Learning：Application and Implications

This paper investigates the current situation of Modern Educational Technology （MET） as program resources for college English teaching, exploring the effectiveness of the integration of MET and language teaching and learning. The case study in this paper illustrates that MET does benefit college English teaching but there are many problems of its application. Pedagogical implications are then provided to enhance the effective integration of MET and language teaching and learning： （1） it is wise for the teachers and learners to reconcile what is desirable with what is acceptable and possible in MET application; （2） teachers should optimize other existing resources to solve the problems caused by inequality and unavailability of MET; （3） teachers should have a clear conception of the relationship of MET and pedagogy to design and apply courseware appropriately; （4） students have beliefs in the benefits of MET, resulting in enhancing their individual language learning and efficiency.

Dual Priority Agenda:China’s Model for Modernizing Education

Purpose-Forty years ago,China made a critical decision to reform and open up,achieving sustained economic growth.Simultaneously,China continued to center efforts on achieving its education modernization goals.It succeeded in the unconventional development of education,consolidating a population of nearly 1.4 billion into a powerful human-resource-centered nation and creating favorable interactive relationships with social and economic development.This paper aims to explore how these achievements were gained and how these relationships were made.Design/Approach/Methods-This paper is conceptual in nature.Findings-Based on the policy documents and development practice,this paper proposes a model of Dual Priority Agenda(DPA),whereby the government prioritized education development,and this development focused predominantly on promoting national development.Originality/Value-By elaborating the background,characteristics,rationales,and mechanisms of the DPA,this paper contributes to a new conceptualization of reciprocal relationship between the state and educational modernization.

China's Preschool Education Toward 2035:Views of Key Policy Experts

Purpose:2020 is the concluding year of the basic preschool education popularization policy in China and marks the beginning of China's Education Modernization 2035.This study focuses on the top-level design and the prospect of the development plan of China's preschool education toward2035.Design/Approach/Methods:The research method adopted is expert interview.We interviewed Il experts,including policymakers,educational administrators,scholars,and practitioners intheeducation.Findings:To develop China's preschool education,we need to integrate macro-level,mesolevel,and micro-level contents:focusing on public welfare as the development concept,furthering the reform of the educational system and mechanism,making quality improvement the plan's key goal,and forming a new preschool education development mode with Chinese characteristics.Originality/Value:This study hopes to clarify the focus to have an impact on China's preschool education toward 2035.It also aims to provide suggestions about preschool education development for other countries.

New National Initiatives of Modernizing Education in China

Purpose:This article aims to shed light on a latest education policy blueprint in China,titled China’s education modernization 2035,which was issued by the Central Government of China in February of 2019.Design/Approach/Methods:This is an analytical policy review.Findings:The author argues that this new Chinese educational policy was driven by three factors:UN 2030 Agenda,China’s national strategy,and Chinese educational reform and improvement.In China’s education modernization 2035,eight key principles were rooted in the Chinese context and also recognized by international society.According to this policy initiative,10 specific strategical tasks are outlined to reform Chinese education toward 2035.Originality/Value:The article will be useful to learn and understand the new directions and the future approaches of Chinese education development and reform toward 2035.
