Objective:To study the therapeutic effect of Lingze tablets combined with traditional Chinese medicine herbal acupoint plasters on chronic prostatitis.Methods:A total of 64 patients with chronic prostatitis who were a...Objective:To study the therapeutic effect of Lingze tablets combined with traditional Chinese medicine herbal acupoint plasters on chronic prostatitis.Methods:A total of 64 patients with chronic prostatitis who were admitted to the Andrology Clinic of Shuyang County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to March 2023 were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,with 32 cases in each group.The control group took Lingze tablets orally,4 tablets/time,3 times/d;the treatment group took the same medication along with traditional Chinese medicine acupoint herbal plasters.The two groups of patients were treated continuously for 6 weeks,and the differences in the relevant indexes of the curative effect were observed.Results:The NIH-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index(NIH-CPSI)scores of the two groups significantly reduced after treatment(P<0.05),and the scores of the patients in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The treatment received in the treatment group achieved and efficacy of 96.88%,which was significantly higher than that of the group,which was 81.25%(P<0.05).The maximum flow rate(MFR),average flow rate AFR,and urine output of the patients of both groups improved significantly after treatment(P<0.05).However,the experimental group showed better improvements in these indicators(P<0.05).Conclusion:Lingze tablets combined with traditional Chinese medicine acupoint herbal plasters can significantly improve the symptoms and urodynamic function of patients with chronic prostatitis.展开更多

However, the signal transduction pathways and target proteins involved remain unclear. In the present study, rat models of chronic restraint stress were used to explore the mechanism by which electroacupuncture alleviates depression. Rats were randomly divided into control, model, and electroacupuncture groups. Chronic restraint stress was induced in the model and electroacupuncture groups by restraining rats for 28 days. In the electroacupuncture group, electroacupuncture pretreatment at Baihui(GV20) and Yintang(GV29) acupoints was performed daily(1 m A, 2 Hz, discontinuous wave, 20 minutes) prior to restraint for 28 days. Open field tests and body weight measurements were carried out to evaluate the depressive symptoms at specific time points. On day 28, the crossing number, rearing number, and body weights of the model group were significantly lower than those in the control group. Behavior test results indicated that rat models of depressive-like symptoms were successfully established by chronic restraint stress combined with solitary raising. On day 28, an isobaric tag for a relative and absolute quantitation-based quantitative proteomic approach was performed to identify differentially expressed proteins in hippocampal samples obtained from the model and electroacupuncture groups. The potential function of these differential proteins was predicted through the use of the Cluster of Orthologous Groups of proteins(COG) database. Twenty-seven differential proteins(uncharacteristic proteins expected) were selected from the model and electroacupuncture groups. In addition to unknown protein functions, COG are mainly concentrated in general prediction function, mechanism of signal transduction, amino acid transport and metabolism groups. This suggests that electroacupuncture improved depressive-like symptoms by regulating differential proteins, and most of these related proteins exist in nerve cells.展开更多

Using a rat genomic gene-chip, we profiled hippocampal gene expression changes in rats after electroacupuncture therapy. Electroacupuncture therapy alleviated depres- sion-related manifestations in the model rats. Using gene-chip analysis, we demonstrated that electroacupuncture at Baihui (DU20) and Yintang (EX-HN3) regulates the expression of 21 genes. Real-time PCR showed that the genes Vgf, lgf2, Trnp32, Loc500373, Hifla, Folrl, Nrnb, and Rtn were upregulated or downregulated in depression and that their expression tended to nor- malize after electroacupuncture therapy. Objective: To study the effects of electroacupuncture(EA) in chronic constrictive injury(CCI) rat model and the expression of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor type 2B(NR2B) in ipsilateral spinal dorsal horn in rats to ex...Objective: To study the effects of electroacupuncture(EA) in chronic constrictive injury(CCI) rat model and the expression of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor type 2B(NR2B) in ipsilateral spinal dorsal horn in rats to explore the analgesic mechanisms of EA. Methods: According to the random number table, totally 180 rats were evenly divided into a sham group, a CCI group, and an EA group. CCI model was conducted with four4–0 chromic gut ligatures loosely ligated around the left sciatic nerve 1 cm above the trifurcation. Rats in the EA group received 2 Hz EA therapy bilaterally at acupoints of Zusanli(ST 36) and Sanyinjiao(SP 6) once daily(30 min/d) for 30 days after surgery. Paw withdrawal thresholds(PWTs) were measured on 0(baseline), 1, 3, 7, 15,30 days after surgery. Rats were sacri?ced on 0, 1, 3, 7, 15 and 30 days after surgery, and the L4–5 segments of spinal cord were removed to detect the expression of NR2B by immunohistochemistry and quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Results: PWTs in the CCI group were signi?cantly lower than the sham group at Day1–30 after surgery, and reached its lowest at Day 1(P<0.01). After EA treatment, the PWTs recovered rapidly and were signi?cantly higher than those in the CCI group on 3, 7, 15 and 30 days after surgery(P<0.01). The numbers of NR2B-immunoreactive cells of the CCI group signi?cantly increased after CCI surgery compared with the sham group(P<0.01). Compared with the CCI group, stimulation of EA markedly decreased the numbers of NR2B-immunoreactive cells at Day 3, 7, 15 and 30(P<0.05). In the sham group, NR2B mRNA was expressed at a low level. It increased after CCI surgery, which increased rapidly at Day 7(P<0.01) and reached its peak value at Day 15(P<0.01). After EA stimulation, relative quantity of NR2B mRNA expression was less than that in the CCI group at Day 15 and 30(P<0.05). Conclusions: Low frequency of EA had antinociceptive effect in CCI rat model. The analgesic effects of EA might be through the inhibition of NR2B.展开更多

Methods:A...Objective:To observe the effect of Aike Mixture(艾可合剂,AKM) on prostatic inflammatory infiltration in patients with chronic prostatitis typeⅢA(ⅢA-CP/CPPS) and evaluate its anti-inflammatory action. Methods:A total of 60 patients with 1 A-CP/CPPS suitable to operation and differentiated as Chinese medicine Gan(肝)-qi stagnancy syndrome type were selected.They were assigned with the random number table to two groups equally.Before operation,the patients in the treated group were administered with Proscar combined with AKM,but those in the control group treated with Proscar only.Suprapubic transvesical prostatectomy was performed two weeks later,and prostatic pathological examination was conducted.Results:Grading of inflammatory cell infiltration showed that the mean grade in the treated group was 0.78±0.90 grades,which was sihnificantly lower than that in the control group 1.68±0.87 grades(P〈0.05).However,the two groups were not different in the grades of fibroblast proliferation(1.50±0.70 grades vs 1.62±0.87 grades,P〉0.05).Conclusion: AKM could suppress the inflammatory cell infiltration,be an effective and safe remedy for the treatment ofⅢA-CP/ CPPS of Gan-qi stagnancy syndrome type,and worthy for spreading in clinical use.展开更多
