Effects of EA on contents of hypothalamic and pituitary β-EP, plasma cAMP and cGMP, serum T3, T4, TSH, cortisol and testosterone were observed in hypothyroid and hypoadreno cortic rats. Results indicate that EA has regulative action on secretion of the thyroid, adrenal cortex, sexual gland in the hypothyroid and hypoadrenocortic rats; The regulative action is related to levels of the hormones in the body. After EA, contents of hypothalamic and pituitary β-EP, and plasma cyclic nucleotides are changed with the change of the hormones, so hypothalamic and pituitary β-EP, and cyclic neucleotides may be involved in the regulation of EA on the endocrine system in hypothyroid and hypoadrenocortic rats. 展开更多
