Rebound effect and its decomposition-an analysis based on energy types in China 被引量:1

Rebound effect derived from energy efficiency improvement has been widely invested.However,most of studies focus on the rebound effect of the energy composite level and neither distinguish nor compare different energy types.We compare the differences in energy saving and energy rebound between primary and secondary energy sources,and further decompose the rebound effect into production rebound part and final demand component.To do so,we add a module for rebound into a comparative state China-CGE model.We design and test two simulation scenarios using the model.In Scenario 1,all production sectors' energy efficiency of using primary energy increases by 5%.In Scenario 2,all production sectors' energy efficiency of using secondary energy increases by 5%.The results show that Scenario 2 leads to more GDP growth and more energy saving.Our scenarios show rebound effects range between 9.6% and 27.9%,and in general are higher when energy efficiency of using primary energy sources is improved.Our decomposition analysis shows that improving energy efficiency in production sectors would stimulates energy use of final demand.Indeed,the consumption side has significant contribution to rebound in secondary energy use,especially in crude oil and gas.This study reveals that improving efficiency of using secondary energy is better than improving that of primary energy,both in terms of economic impact and energy rebound.And complementary policies that prevent energy services prices from falling too much can be adopted to reduce rebound.Controlling residential energy use could also be effective in reducing rebound,this has particular implication to economies in which residential energy consumption are far from saturation. 展开更多

With the development of green data centers,a large number of Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS)resources in Internet Data Center(IDC)are becoming idle assets owing to their low utilization rate.The revitalization of these idle UPS resources is an urgent problem that must be addressed.Based on the energy storage type of the UPS(EUPS)and using renewable sources,a solution for IDCs is proposed in this study.Subsequently,an EUPS cluster classification method based on the concept of shared mechanism niche(CSMN)was proposed to effectively solve the EUPS control problem.Accordingly,the classified EUPS aggregation unit was used to determine the optimal operation of the IDC.An IDC cost minimization optimization model was established,and the Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization(QPSO)algorithm was adopted.Finally,the economy and effectiveness of the three-tier optimization framework and model were verified through three case studies. 展开更多

In this work, with the analysis on MO and electronic structure for a series of heteronuclear cluster with cubane type (Mo4S1 )xMn1(x=1.2. M = Cu, W, Ni, Sb, Mo, Sn, Cu2) we found that it is with the multiple center d-pir orbitals that the ligand Mo3S44+ bonds to the M atom to form these class clusters. It is revealed that the charges transfer from the M atom to Mo atom of the ligand Mo3S44+ and its relationship with the MC (multiple center) d-pπ orbitals. Based on the charge transfer the electronic spectrum and the magnetic property of some cubane clusters have been discussed. 展开更多

Background: To investigate the effects of dietary crude protein(CP) restriction on muscle fiber characteristics and key regulators related to protein deposition in skeletal muscle, a total of 18 growing-finishing pigs(62.30 ± 0.88 kg)were allotted to 3 groups and fed with the recommended adequate protein(AP, 16 % CP) diet, moderately restricted protein(MP, 13 % CP) diet and low protein(LP, 10 % CP) diet, respectively. The skeletal muscle of different locations in pigs, including longissimus dorsi muscle(LDM), psoas major muscle(PMM) and biceps femoris muscle(BFM) were collected and analyzed.Results: Results showed that growing-finishing pigs fed the MP or AP diet improved(P 〈 0.01) the average daily gain and feed: gain ratio compared with those fed the LP diet, and the MP diet tended to increase(P = 0.09) the weight of LDM. Moreover, the ATP content and energy charge value were varied among muscle samples from different locations of pigs fed the reduced protein diets. We also observed that pigs fed the MP diet up-regulated(P 〈 0.05) muscular m RNA expression of all the selected key genes, except that myosin heavy chain(My HC) IIb,My HC IIx, while m RNA expression of ubiquitin ligases genes was not affected by dietary CP level. Additionally, the activation of mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1(m TORC1) pathway was stimulated(P 〈 0.05) in skeletal muscle of the pigs fed the MP or AP diet compared with those fed the LP diet.Conclusion: The results suggest that the pigs fed the MP diet could catch up to the growth performance and the LDM weight of the pigs fed the AP diet, and the underlying mechanism may be partly due to the alteration in energy status, modulation of muscle fiber characteristics and m TORC1 activation as well as its downstream effectors in skeletal muscle of different locations in growing-finishing pigs. 展开更多

A floating type pendulum wave energy converter(FPWEC) with a rotary vane pump as the power take-off system was proposed by Watabe et al.in 1998.They showed that this device had high energy conversion efficiency.In the previous research,the authors conducted 2D wave tank tests in regular waves to evaluate the generating efficiency of FPWEC with a power take-off system composed of pulleys,belts and a generator.As a result,the influence of the electrical load on the generating efficiency was shown.Continuously,the load characteristics of FPWEC are pursued experimentally by using the servo motors to change the damping coefficient in this paper.In a later part of this paper,the motions of the model with the servo motors are compared with that of the case with the same power take-off system as the previous research.From the above experiment,it may be concluded that the maximum primary conversion efficiency is achieved as high as 98%at the optimal load. 展开更多

The shock wave angle and depth ratio of the abrupt deflected supercritical water flow due to deflector was investigated experimentally and theoretically. A correction coefficient of the hydro-dynamic pressure ξ was introduced to generalize the momentum equation in the perpendicular direction to the shock front. An extensive series of tests were conducted in a 1 m wide flume with the Froude number ranging from 1.70 to 8.37, the deflection angle ranging from 5° to 40° and the length of deflector ranging from 0.28 m to 1 m. A dimensionless parameter K was defined to depict the ratio of the flow height to flow thickness. Test results show that the val ue of ~, the correction coefficient of the non-hydrostatic pres- sure distribution, decreases with the increase of the value of K An empirical relationship between the value of ξ and the val ue of K was proposed. It is indicated that the relative errors of the results calculated by the revised theory is much smaller than that obtained from the Ippen theory. Finally, a simple explicit expression was suggested to calculate the shock wave height ratio in consideration of the effect of the non-hydrostatic pressure distribution. 展开更多
