Adjustment to affective factors in English learning by using Internet English Curriculum Resource

The new curriculum standard points out that affection is one of the most important goals of fundamental education. The non-target language environment is easier to cause the affective change of middle school students who are changeable in their affective state. Based on the affective filter hypothesis, this paper deals with the adjustment to affective factors in English learning by using Internet English Curriculum Resource, such as attitude and motivation, anxiety and inhibition, self-esteem and self-confidence. At last, some suggestions are offered to judge Internet English Curriculum Resource.

On the Feasibility of Early-age English learning

Children's English learning in China attracts more and more people's attention and is on the tendency of starting at an early age. Under the trend of "learning English from childhood", the author has explored the Critical Period Hypothesis and discussed the younger learners' disadvantages and older learners' advantages when learning English. and concludes that early-age English learning is not feasible.

The Problems of Senior Three Students＇ ＂Mute-Crux＂ in English Learning in China

English is widely taught as an FL （foreign language） in most middle schools in China. Chinese students have improved their English reading and writing these years, but they are relatively poor in listening and speaking. The author, based on the empirical study, made an investigation on Senior Three students in Leshan city. The statistics from the questionnaire indicate the problem of ＂Mute-crux＂ in English teaching and learning. This paper explores the reasons that cause the problem： teachers＇ use of the traditional ways, just emphasizing the transmission of English knowledge, but ignoring the meaningful communication with students; exercise-based and exam-oriented teaching, which cause students＇ rote-learning. The author proposes that Chinese English teachers ought to change the traditional notions and adopt effective ways to encourage students to speak bravely in order to improve their speaking abilities

Suggestions on How to Stimulate Non-English Major Sophomores' English Learning Motivation

Many researchers regard motivation as a very important factor for second language learners to acquire the language successfully.Motivated students will perform better than unmotivated students in language learning,therefore,they will develop the potential of second language skills better.This research studied the motivation types of 255 sophomores from Huanghuai University.A questionnaire based on the one designed by Qin Xiaoqing and Wen Qiufang was adopted.The results demonstrate that the motivation possessed by sophomores was not beneficial towards improving their English learning.In order to present a good guide to students’English learning,the author provides several pieces of advice.

An Analysis of College Students＇ Autonomous English Learning Ability under the Network Environment

Referring to the questionnaire survey and literature materials, this paper describes the current situation of college students＇ insufficient autonomous English learning ability and thefactors that influence this ability; it also suggests feasible suggestions under the network environment. Students （N= 178） from different grades, majors, universities and areas responded to a questionnaire survey, and the collected data were analyzed. The results indicate that complex external environment and insufficient internal subject cognition influence college students＇ autonomous English learning ability. Finally, this paper suggests that a good network environment is necessary for autonomous learners to enhance insufficient autonomous English learning ability and interaction, continuous thinking and cultural introduction are also indispensable to develop this ability.

The Training of Clinical English Learning Ability of Medical Students

Through investigation and research,this paper analyzes the needs and status quo of medical students’English learning,and makes a correlation analysis between them.This paper uses the strategy of questionnaire survey and take the actual medicalstudents in our country as the survey object,and uses two-dimensional model of Oxford and three-dimensional model of O’Malleyand Chamot statistical method to get the final conclusion.The results show that the high score group students show stronger internallearning motivation,the choice of cognitive strategies shows a strong sense of autonomy and responsibility,while the low score stu-dents mainly show external learning motivation,in the specific learning process,they rely more on mechanical imitation and ignorethe cultivation of creative thinking.
