Many researchers regard motivation as a very important factor for second language learners to acquire the language successfully.Motivated students will perform better than unmotivated students in language learning,therefore,they will develop the potential of second language skills better.This research studied the motivation types of 255 sophomores from Huanghuai University.A questionnaire based on the one designed by Qin Xiaoqing and Wen Qiufang was adopted.The results demonstrate that the motivation possessed by sophomores was not beneficial towards improving their English learning.In order to present a good guide to students’English learning,the author provides several pieces of advice. 展开更多

Through investigation and research,this paper analyzes the needs and status quo of medical students’English learning,and makes a correlation analysis between them.This paper uses the strategy of questionnaire survey and take the actual medicalstudents in our country as the survey object,and uses two-dimensional model of Oxford and three-dimensional model of O’Malleyand Chamot statistical method to get the final conclusion.The results show that the high score group students show stronger internallearning motivation,the choice of cognitive strategies shows a strong sense of autonomy and responsibility,while the low score stu-dents mainly show external learning motivation,in the specific learning process,they rely more on mechanical imitation and ignorethe cultivation of creative thinking. 展开更多

This paper makes a statistical analysis of the research on English learning strategies in 13 core journals of foreign languages in China from 2003 to 2018,mainly from the perspective of research trends,research objects,and so on.The present situation of English learning strategies is reviewed in four aspects:the content and methods of the study.It is found that the research on English learning strategies in China generally shows a dynamic upward trend,and the subjects of the study are from undergraduates to graduate students,college students and middle school students,and from non-English majors to English majors.The content of the study extends from the microscopic perspective of English learning strategies to other relevance studies,and the research methods are mainly empirical research,but less argumentative research methods.In the end,some suggestions are put forward for the research of English learning strategies in China. 展开更多
