This paper proposes a new technique which introduces the high-order single-step-β method(HSM)into the experimental study on the substructure pseudo-dynamic testing(SPDT).The technique is based on the proposed concept of equivalent shear stiffness which can meet the requirement of the HSM algorithm.A study is done to theoretically validate the technique by the numerical analysis of two-storey shear building structure,in comparison of the proposed substructure pseudo-dynamic testing algorithm with the central difference method(CDM).Then,a full-scale SPDT model,the three-storey frame-supported reinforced concrete short-limb masonry shear wall structure,is designed and tested to simulate the seismic response of the corresponding six-storey structure and verify the proposed force control HSM technique.Meanwhile,the techniques of both stiffness correction and force control are suggested to control algorithmic error,control error and measurement error.The results indicate that the force control HSM can be used in the full-scale multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF)substructure pseudo-dynamic testing before descent segment of structure restoring force properties. 展开更多

In the present study, the dynamic response of a coupled SPM-feeder-cage system under irregular waves and shear currents is analyzed. A numerical model is developed by using the commercial software Orca Flex. Hydrodynamics coefficients of the vessel are calculated by using a 3D diffraction/radiation panel program. First- and second-order wave forces are included in the calculations. Morison equation is used to compute the drag force on line elements representing the net. Drag coefficients are determined at every time step in the simulation considering the relative normal velocity between the structural elements and the fluid flow. The dynamic response of the coupled system is analyzed for various environments and net materials. The results of the study show the effects of solidity ratio of the net and vertical positions of the cage on the overall dynamic response of the system, confirming the viability of this type of configuration for future development of offshore aquaculture in deep waters. 展开更多

The calculation result obtained by the equivalent volume force analytic method indicated that when taking the inherent frequency of the drive tines as the drive signal frequency the phase of the reference vibration is 90° behind that of the drive signal, and the square of amplitude is less than that of the maximal amplitude by 1/(4Q~2_d) merely. The curves derived from the finite element analytic method proved that near the inherent frequency the phase shift of the feedback voltage is identical to that of the reference vibration, and the amplitude is proportional to that of the reference vibration, and the phase shift is linear approximatively with the frequency shift. The frequency shift could be calculated according to the phase shift obtained by quadrature correlation detection, so the drive signal frequency could be locked at the inherent frequency of the drive tines by means of iteration. 展开更多

Based on the analysis of periodic equivalent control force of rolling missiles with x-rudder, the guidance loop model with direction error is established and the relationship between direction error and miss distance is analyzed. Results show that the miss distance is zero or a constant or infinite, and it is always zero when the real parts of system matrix eigenvalues decided by direction error are both positive values in an ideal system, in which all the lags are neglected. However, the miss distance gradually increases with the increase of the direction error and its variation is small when direction error is not more than 5° in the system, in which seeker lag and missile body lag are considered. 展开更多
