The out...To test the pulse signal of initiating explosive device (IED) in an aircraft,a multi-channel equivalent system for IED based on Gigabit Ethernet transmission is designed according to its electrical parameters. The output voltage of multi-channel equivalent circuit is converted by analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Then the validity of the converted signal is judged by field programmable gate array (FPGA). Finally,it is transmitted the host computer through Gigabit Ethernet for waveform displaying. Compared with the traditional equivalent equipment of IED,the designed system here can not only test the validity of the pulse signal and normal operation of equivalent circuit,but also realize fast and reliable analysis of pulse signal by means of Gigabit Ethernet. It solves the problems of low speed and lag of response of traditional equivalent equipment.展开更多

Current structural analysis software programs offer few if any applicable device-specifi c hysteresis rules or nonlinear elements to simulate the precise mechanical behavior of a multiple friction pendulum system(MFPS...Current structural analysis software programs offer few if any applicable device-specifi c hysteresis rules or nonlinear elements to simulate the precise mechanical behavior of a multiple friction pendulum system(MFPS) with numerous sliding interfaces.Based on the concept of subsystems,an equivalent series system that adopts existing nonlinear elements with parameters systematically calculated and mathematically proven through rigorous derivations is proposed.The aim is to simulate the characteristics of sliding motions for an MFPS isolation system with numerous concave sliding interfaces without prior knowledge of detailed information on the mobilized forces at various sliding stages.An MFPS with numerous concave sliding interfaces and one articulated or rigid slider located between these interfaces is divided into two subsystems: the fi rst represents the concave sliding interfaces above the slider,and the second represents those below the slider.The equivalent series system for the entire system is then obtained by connecting those for each subsystem in series.The equivalent series system is validated by comparing numerical results for an MFPS with four sliding interfaces obtained from the proposed method with those from a previous study by Fenz and Constantinou.Furthermore,these numerical results demonstrate that an MFPS isolator with numerous concave sliding interfaces,which may have any number of sliding interfaces,is a good isolation device to protect structures from earthquake damage through appropriate designs with controllable mechanisms.展开更多

A“baton” optimization approach is proposed by utilizing ASFHDV. After each baton of optimization, if a few dimensional variables reach the upper or lower limit, the boundary of certain dimensional variables shall be expanded. In consideration of the experimental requirements, the length of the upper mooring line should not be smaller than 8 m, and the diameter of the anchor chain on the bottom should be larger than 0.03 m. A 100000 t turret mooring FPSO in the water depth of 304 m, with the truncated water depth being 76 m, is taken as an example of equivalent water depth truncated mooring system optimal design and calculation, and is performed to obtain the conformation parameters of the truncated mooring system. The numerical results indicate that the present truncated mooring system design is successful and effective.展开更多
Direct measurement of snow water equivalent(SWE)in snow-dominated mountainous areas is difficult,thus its prediction is essential for water resources management in such areas.In addition,because of nonlinear trend of ...Direct measurement of snow water equivalent(SWE)in snow-dominated mountainous areas is difficult,thus its prediction is essential for water resources management in such areas.In addition,because of nonlinear trend of snow spatial distribution and the multiple influencing factors concerning the SWE spatial distribution,statistical models are not usually able to present acceptable results.Therefore,applicable methods that are able to predict nonlinear trends are necessary.In this research,to predict SWE,the Sohrevard Watershed located in northwest of Iran was selected as the case study.Database was collected,and the required maps were derived.Snow depth(SD)at 150 points with two sampling patterns including systematic random sampling and Latin hypercube sampling(LHS),and snow density at 18 points were randomly measured,and then SWE was calculated.SWE was predicted using artificial neural network(ANN),adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)and regression methods.The results showed that the performance of ANN and ANFIS models with two sampling patterns were observed better than the regression method.Moreover,based on most of the efficiency criteria,the efficiency of ANN,ANFIS and regression methods under LHS pattern were observed higher than the systematic random sampling pattern.However,there were no significant differences between the two methods of ANN and ANFIS in SWE prediction.Data of both two sampling patterns had the highest sensitivity to the elevation.In addition,the LHS and the systematic random sampling patterns had the least sensitivity to the profile curvature and plan curvature,respectively.展开更多

However, neither of the models will accurately estimate the natural...Discrete models such as the lumped parameter model and the finite element model are widely used in the solution of soil amplification of earthquakes. However, neither of the models will accurately estimate the natural frequencies of soil deposit, nor simulate a damping of frequency independence. This research develops a new discrete model for onedimensional viscoelastic response analysis of layered soil deposit based on the mode equivalence method. The new discrete model is a one-dimensional equivalent multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF) system characterized by a series of concentrated masses, springs and dashpots with a special configuration. The dynamic response of the equivalent MDOF system is analytically derived and the physical parameters are formulated in terms of modal properties. The equivalent MDOF system is verified through a comparison of amplification functions with the available theoretical solutions. The appropriate number of degrees of freedom(DOFs) in the equivalent MDOF system is estimated. A comparative study of the equivalent MDOF system with the existing discrete models is performed. It is shown that the proposed equivalent MDOF system can exactly present the natural frequencies and the hysteretic damping of soil deposits and provide more accurate results with fewer DOFs.展开更多

Understanding the thermal conductivity of granite is critical for many geological and deep engineering applications.The heated granite was subjected to air-,water-,and liquid nitrogen(LN2-)coolings in this context.The...Understanding the thermal conductivity of granite is critical for many geological and deep engineering applications.The heated granite was subjected to air-,water-,and liquid nitrogen(LN2-)coolings in this context.The transient hot-wire technique was used to determine the equivalent thermal conductivity(ETC)of the granite before and after treatment.The deterioration mechanism of ETC is analyzed from the meso-perspective.Finally,the numerical model is used to quantitatively study the impact of cooling rate on the microcrack propagation and heat conduction characteristics of granite.The results show that the ETC of granite is not only related to the heating temperature,but also affected by the cooling rate.The ETC of granite decreases nonlinearly with increasing heating temperature.A faster cooling rate causes a greater decrease in ETC at the same heating temperature.The higher the heating temperature,the stronger the influence of cooling rate on ETC.The main explanation for the decrease in ETC of granite is the increase in porosity and microcrack density produced by the formation and propagation of pore structure and microcracks during heating and cooling.Further analysis displays that the damage of granite at the heating stage is induced by the difference in thermal expansion and elastic properties of mineral particles.At the cooling stage,the faster cooling rate causes a higher temperature gradient,which in turn produces greater thermal stress.As a result,it not only causes new cracks in the granite,but also aggravates the damage at the heating stage,which induces a further decrease in the heat conduction performance of granite,and this scenario is more obvious at higher temperatures.展开更多

The latter is employed to obtain the laws of equivalent orbits, which by definition have the same eccentricity and orbit’s parameter [1]. These laws relate the values of the same physical observables on two equivalent orbits to the corresponding total mass;they include the laws of velocity, angular velocity, radial velocity, areal velocity, acceleration, period, energy and angular momentum. Regardless of the share of the two bodies of a fixed total mass, the same relative orbit occurs for the same initial conditions. Moreover, the same orbit can be traced by different total masses but with different relative velocities. The concept of a gravitational field generated by a set of masses is shown to be meaningful only when the center of mass is not changed by the test mass. The associated concept of the “nothing”, which is an infinitesimal mass that allows for the property just mentioned to be fulfilled, is introduced and its orbits are determined. The perturbation of the nothing orbits due to its replacement by a finite mass is determined. It is proved that such a replacement can have a qualitative effect resulting in a “phase transition” of an orbit from unbound to bound, and that the nothing’s circular orbits cannot be occupied by any material body. The Galileo law of free fall, on which the equivalence principle hinges and which is exact only for “nothing-like” falling objects, is revised to determine the duration of free fall of a body of an arbitrary mass. The wholeness of Newton’s laws and the associated concept of force as an interaction are highlighted, and some contradictions between the Newtonian laws of equivalent Kepler’s orbits and the general relativistic predictions are discussed. It is demonstrated that Newton’s law of gravitation is not an approximation of Einstein field Equations even in the case of a static weak field. However, both theories have a common limit corresponding to the case in which the alien concept of a field can be incorporated in the Newtonian theory. We also show that the relative velocity’s hodograph [2-4], the alternative Laplace-Runge-Lenz (LRL) vector derived by Hamilton [4-6], as well as an infinite set of LRL vectors, result all from one vector. The hodograph is a proper circular arc for hyperbolic motion, a circle less a point for parabolic motion, and a full circle for bound motion.展开更多

This paper firstly recommends the basic concept of dynamic equivalent and the status of both domestic and abroad development in this area. The most existing equivalent methods usually only deal with static load models and neglect the dynamic characteristics of loads such as induction motors. In addition, the existing polymerization method which is based on the frequency domain algorithm of induction electric machines parameters takes a long time to equivalent for the large system, then the new method based on the weighted is proposed. Then, the basic steps for dynamic equivalence with the weighted method are introduced as follows. At first, the clustering criterion of motor loads based on time domain simulation is given. The motors with similar dynamic characteristics are classified into one group. Then, the simplication of the buses of motors in same group and network is carried out. Finally, parameters of the equivalent motor are calculated and the equivalent system is thus obtained based on the weighted. This aggregation method is applied to the simple distribution system of 4 generators. Simulation results show that the method can quickly obtain polymerization parameters of generator groups and the aggregation model retains the dynamic performance of the original model with good accuracy, the active and reactive power fitting error is smaller as well.展开更多

By this means, the QoS requirements in terms of bit error rate(BER), transmission delay and dropping probability can be guaranteed by the cross-layer optimal equivalent bandwidth allocation. The numerical results show that the proposed algorithm has higher spectrum efficiency compared to the existing systems.展开更多

Leveraging the dispersion characteristics parameters of fragment, we establish a calculation model of the fragment power situation and the damage calculation model under the condition of fragment ultimate penetration equivalent target plate. The damage model of equivalent target plate involves the fragment dispersion density, the local perforation damage criterion, the tearing damage model, and the damage probability. We use the camera to obtain the image of the equivalent target plate with fragment perforation, and research the algorithm of fragment distribution position recognition and fragment perforation area calculation method on the equivalent target plate by image processing technology. Based on the obtained parameters of the breakdown position and perforation area of fragments on equivalent target plate, we apply to damage calculation model of equivalent target plate, and calculate the damage probability of each equivalent target plate, and use the combined probabilistic damage calculation method to obtain the damage evaluation results of the circumferential equivalent target plate in an intelligent ammunition explosion experiment. Through an experimental testing, we verify the feasibility and rationality of the proposed damage evaluation method by comparison, the calculation results can reflect the actual damage effect of the equivalent target plate.展开更多

文摘Direct measurement of snow water equivalent(SWE)in snow-dominated mountainous areas is difficult,thus its prediction is essential for water resources management in such areas.In addition,because of nonlinear trend of snow spatial distribution and the multiple influencing factors concerning the SWE spatial distribution,statistical models are not usually able to present acceptable results.Therefore,applicable methods that are able to predict nonlinear trends are necessary.In this research,to predict SWE,the Sohrevard Watershed located in northwest of Iran was selected as the case study.Database was collected,and the required maps were derived.Snow depth(SD)at 150 points with two sampling patterns including systematic random sampling and Latin hypercube sampling(LHS),and snow density at 18 points were randomly measured,and then SWE was calculated.SWE was predicted using artificial neural network(ANN),adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)and regression methods.The results showed that the performance of ANN and ANFIS models with two sampling patterns were observed better than the regression method.Moreover,based on most of the efficiency criteria,the efficiency of ANN,ANFIS and regression methods under LHS pattern were observed higher than the systematic random sampling pattern.However,there were no significant differences between the two methods of ANN and ANFIS in SWE prediction.Data of both two sampling patterns had the highest sensitivity to the elevation.In addition,the LHS and the systematic random sampling patterns had the least sensitivity to the profile curvature and plan curvature,respectively.
文摘Electrochemical quartz crystal impedance system (EQCIS) which allows in situ dynamic quartz crystal impedance measurement in an electrochemical experiment was developed by combining an HP 4395A Network/Spectrum/Impedance analyzer with an EG&G M283 potentiostat. Equivalent circuit parameters of crystal resonance change significantly during electrodeposition and dissolution of copper in 0.1 mol/L H2SO4 aqueous solution in a cyclic potential sweep experiment, which is explained with an overall picture of mass loading, solution density and viscosity, etc..

文摘Discrete models such as the lumped parameter model and the finite element model are widely used in the solution of soil amplification of earthquakes. However, neither of the models will accurately estimate the natural frequencies of soil deposit, nor simulate a damping of frequency independence. This research develops a new discrete model for onedimensional viscoelastic response analysis of layered soil deposit based on the mode equivalence method. The new discrete model is a one-dimensional equivalent multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF) system characterized by a series of concentrated masses, springs and dashpots with a special configuration. The dynamic response of the equivalent MDOF system is analytically derived and the physical parameters are formulated in terms of modal properties. The equivalent MDOF system is verified through a comparison of amplification functions with the available theoretical solutions. The appropriate number of degrees of freedom(DOFs) in the equivalent MDOF system is estimated. A comparative study of the equivalent MDOF system with the existing discrete models is performed. It is shown that the proposed equivalent MDOF system can exactly present the natural frequencies and the hysteretic damping of soil deposits and provide more accurate results with fewer DOFs.

文摘At present,equivalent water depth truncated mooring system optimization design is regarded as the priority of hybrid model testing for deep sea platforms,and will replace the full depth system test in the future.Compared with the full depth system,the working depth and span are smaller in the truncated one,and the other characteristics maintain more consistency as well.In this paper,an inner turret moored floating production storage & offloading system(FPSO) which works at a water depth of 320m,was selected to be a research example while the truncated water depth was 80m.Furthermore,an improved non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm(INSGA-II) was selected to optimally calculate the equivalent water depth truncated system,considering the stress condition of the total mooring system in both the horizontal and vertical directions,as well as the static characteristic similarity of the representative single mooring line.The results of numerical calculations indicate that the mathematical model is feasible,and the optimization method is fast and effective.

文摘Understanding the thermal conductivity of granite is critical for many geological and deep engineering applications.The heated granite was subjected to air-,water-,and liquid nitrogen(LN2-)coolings in this context.The transient hot-wire technique was used to determine the equivalent thermal conductivity(ETC)of the granite before and after treatment.The deterioration mechanism of ETC is analyzed from the meso-perspective.Finally,the numerical model is used to quantitatively study the impact of cooling rate on the microcrack propagation and heat conduction characteristics of granite.The results show that the ETC of granite is not only related to the heating temperature,but also affected by the cooling rate.The ETC of granite decreases nonlinearly with increasing heating temperature.A faster cooling rate causes a greater decrease in ETC at the same heating temperature.The higher the heating temperature,the stronger the influence of cooling rate on ETC.The main explanation for the decrease in ETC of granite is the increase in porosity and microcrack density produced by the formation and propagation of pore structure and microcracks during heating and cooling.Further analysis displays that the damage of granite at the heating stage is induced by the difference in thermal expansion and elastic properties of mineral particles.At the cooling stage,the faster cooling rate causes a higher temperature gradient,which in turn produces greater thermal stress.As a result,it not only causes new cracks in the granite,but also aggravates the damage at the heating stage,which induces a further decrease in the heat conduction performance of granite,and this scenario is more obvious at higher temperatures.
文摘In this paper, a new equivalent nonlinearization method is developed and used in analysing the response of nonlinear systems to Gaussian while noise excitation. Its basic idea and calculation method are expounded. With the help of the presented method, several kinds of usual nonlinear random vibration systems are analyzed. The numerical results show that the mean square responses of the proposed approach are much closer to the exact solutions or Monte Carlo solutions, than that obtained from equivalent linearization method.

文摘The equivalent sample theory and its application in analysis of networked control system (NCS) are presented. After analyzing NCS's scheduling in master-slave mode, the characteristics of time delay and sample are summarized. Looking on master station visiting the slave station as a special sample process, the theory of equivalent sample is presented. And based on it, the stability of a kind of NCS is analyzed. The criterion to determine the upper bound of transmission delay is introduced, which guarantees the stability. Finally, an example with simulation shows the availability and usability of this analysis method.
文摘We show first that an orbit, which is naturally characterized by its eccentricity and semi-latus rectum, can equally be characterized by other sets of parameters, and proceed to determine mass-independent characterizations. The latter is employed to obtain the laws of equivalent orbits, which by definition have the same eccentricity and orbit’s parameter [1]. These laws relate the values of the same physical observables on two equivalent orbits to the corresponding total mass;they include the laws of velocity, angular velocity, radial velocity, areal velocity, acceleration, period, energy and angular momentum. Regardless of the share of the two bodies of a fixed total mass, the same relative orbit occurs for the same initial conditions. Moreover, the same orbit can be traced by different total masses but with different relative velocities. The concept of a gravitational field generated by a set of masses is shown to be meaningful only when the center of mass is not changed by the test mass. The associated concept of the “nothing”, which is an infinitesimal mass that allows for the property just mentioned to be fulfilled, is introduced and its orbits are determined. The perturbation of the nothing orbits due to its replacement by a finite mass is determined. It is proved that such a replacement can have a qualitative effect resulting in a “phase transition” of an orbit from unbound to bound, and that the nothing’s circular orbits cannot be occupied by any material body. The Galileo law of free fall, on which the equivalence principle hinges and which is exact only for “nothing-like” falling objects, is revised to determine the duration of free fall of a body of an arbitrary mass. The wholeness of Newton’s laws and the associated concept of force as an interaction are highlighted, and some contradictions between the Newtonian laws of equivalent Kepler’s orbits and the general relativistic predictions are discussed. It is demonstrated that Newton’s law of gravitation is not an approximation of Einstein field Equations even in the case of a static weak field. However, both theories have a common limit corresponding to the case in which the alien concept of a field can be incorporated in the Newtonian theory. We also show that the relative velocity’s hodograph [2-4], the alternative Laplace-Runge-Lenz (LRL) vector derived by Hamilton [4-6], as well as an infinite set of LRL vectors, result all from one vector. The hodograph is a proper circular arc for hyperbolic motion, a circle less a point for parabolic motion, and a full circle for bound motion.

Meanwhile we obtain the test of generating function and the estimation of equivalent radius. The uniformity of distribution is tested and verified with ω2 test method on the basis of stochastic simulation example.

By using gauge transformation, the constrained flow, the integrable system and Lax representation for the coupled MKdV hierarchy were first constructed from the AKNS hierarchy and then using the Lax representation, the r_matrix for the constrained flow of the coupled MKdV hierarchy was constructed. The second set of conserved integrals of this constrained flow and their involutivity were also given.
文摘Strata movement simulation was conducted in an equivalent material modeling facility developed by the Department of Mining Engineering, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, under U. S. Bureau of Mines contracts. An innovative displacement measurement system called videogrammetric system was developed and utilized for recording, measuring and analyzing the deformation and failure process of the models. A room and pillar mining and a longwall mining prototypes were studied in the modeling. Study found that weak floor of coal seam plays an important role in pillar stability and therefore the overburden movements.
文摘Dynamic equivalence can not only largely reduce the system size and the computation time but also stress the dominant features of the system [1]-[3]. This paper firstly recommends the basic concept of dynamic equivalent and the status of both domestic and abroad development in this area. The most existing equivalent methods usually only deal with static load models and neglect the dynamic characteristics of loads such as induction motors. In addition, the existing polymerization method which is based on the frequency domain algorithm of induction electric machines parameters takes a long time to equivalent for the large system, then the new method based on the weighted is proposed. Then, the basic steps for dynamic equivalence with the weighted method are introduced as follows. At first, the clustering criterion of motor loads based on time domain simulation is given. The motors with similar dynamic characteristics are classified into one group. Then, the simplication of the buses of motors in same group and network is carried out. Finally, parameters of the equivalent motor are calculated and the equivalent system is thus obtained based on the weighted. This aggregation method is applied to the simple distribution system of 4 generators. Simulation results show that the method can quickly obtain polymerization parameters of generator groups and the aggregation model retains the dynamic performance of the original model with good accuracy, the active and reactive power fitting error is smaller as well.

文摘A quality of service(QoS) guaranteed cross-layer resource allocation algorithm with physical layer, medium access control(MAC) layer and call admission control(CAC) considered simultaneously is proposed for the full IP orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) communication system, which can ensure the quality of multimedia services in full IP networks.The algorithm converts the physical layer resources such as subcarriers, transmission power, and the QoS metrics into equivalent bandwidth which can be distributed by the base station in all three layers. By this means, the QoS requirements in terms of bit error rate(BER), transmission delay and dropping probability can be guaranteed by the cross-layer optimal equivalent bandwidth allocation. The numerical results show that the proposed algorithm has higher spectrum efficiency compared to the existing systems.

文摘Aiming at the requirement of damage testing and evaluation of equivalent target plate based on the explosion of intelligent ammunition, this paper proposes a novel method for damage testing and evaluation method of circumferential equivalent target plate. Leveraging the dispersion characteristics parameters of fragment, we establish a calculation model of the fragment power situation and the damage calculation model under the condition of fragment ultimate penetration equivalent target plate. The damage model of equivalent target plate involves the fragment dispersion density, the local perforation damage criterion, the tearing damage model, and the damage probability. We use the camera to obtain the image of the equivalent target plate with fragment perforation, and research the algorithm of fragment distribution position recognition and fragment perforation area calculation method on the equivalent target plate by image processing technology. Based on the obtained parameters of the breakdown position and perforation area of fragments on equivalent target plate, we apply to damage calculation model of equivalent target plate, and calculate the damage probability of each equivalent target plate, and use the combined probabilistic damage calculation method to obtain the damage evaluation results of the circumferential equivalent target plate in an intelligent ammunition explosion experiment. Through an experimental testing, we verify the feasibility and rationality of the proposed damage evaluation method by comparison, the calculation results can reflect the actual damage effect of the equivalent target plate.
