For instance, Jordan relies heavily on the importation of natural gas and crude oil for its energy needs;but, by applying thermochemical conversion techniques, leftover olive oil can be used to replace these energy sources. Understanding the chemical, physical, and thermal characteristics of raw materials is essential to obtaining the most out of these conversion processes. Thermogravimetric analysis was used in this study to examine the thermal behavior of olive-solid residue (kernel) at three different heating rates (5, 20 and 40 C/min) in nitrogen and oxygen atmospheres. The initial degradation temperature, the residual weight at 500 and 700˚C and the thermal degradation rate during the devolatilization stage (below 400˚C) were all determined. It was found that in N2 and O2 atmospheres, both the initial degradation temperature and the degradation rate increase with increasing heating rates. As heating rates increase in the N2 atmosphere, the residual weight at 500 or 700˚C decreases slightly, but at low heating rates compared to high heating rates in the O2 atmosphere, it decreases significantly. This suggests that a longer lignin oxidation process is better than a shorter one. Coats and Redfern approach was used to identify the mechanism and activation energy for the devolatilization stage of pyrolysis and oxidation reactions. The process mechanism analysis revealed that the model of first-order and second-order reactions may adequately describe the mechanism of heat degradation of the devolatilization step of olive-solid waste for pyrolysis and oxidation processes, respectively.展开更多

文摘The Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima(TTA)region is one of the main olive oil producing regions in Morocco.Little is devoted to characterize olive oil physicochemical traits from TTA hence the originality of this study. It aimed at investigating variation in olive oil quality produced from three Moroccan cultivars‘Moroccan Picholine’,‘Menara’,and‘Haouzia’and their blends.Sampling was performed in five provinces fromTTA(Northern Morocco)during four consecutive crop-seasons(2018-2021)considering three extraction technologies(ET):traditional discontinuous press system(SP)and continuous extraction systems including decanter of three outlets(3O)and decanter of two outlets(2O).Physicochemical measurements consisted of routinely quality parameters namely free acidity(FA),peroxide value(PV),UV absorption parameters(K232,K270,andΔK),chlorophylls(Chl)and carotenoids(Car)contents, total phenolic compounds(TPC)and oxidative stability(OS).Crop season showed its superiority impacts on K232,OS,TPC,Chl,and OS.While cultivar was the main variability source in both PV and K270,and FA was mainly determined by ET.Important variations(p<0.05)were reported among crop seasons and locations due to pedoclimatic differences.‘Menara’and‘Haouzia’had higher pigments content,TPC,and OS,and the blends displayed low pigments concentration,TPC,and OS.Expectedly, continuous ET(2O and 3O)had the greatest values of pigments content,TPC,and OS as revealed by principal component analysis.Strong correlations were highlighted among basic quality parameters,TPC,pigments, and OS.Simple linear regression was used to describe the relationships between OS and TPC(R^(2)=0.856)and OS regressed against Chl(R^(2)=0.690)and Car(R^(2)=0.760),while TPC were regressed on Chl(R^(2)=0.670)and Car(R^(2)=0.680)and finally Chl against Car(R^(2)=0.931).In conclusion, compared to technological, genotypic, and geographic effects, climatic conditions were the main factor driving olive oil stability and associated phenolics and pigments;oil cultivar blend seems to have negative effects on pigments concentration and total phenolic compounds as well as oxidative stability.

[Result] AEO can efficiently reduce the liver injury and inhibit mitochondrial swelling induced by Fe2+-L-Cys, which can also scavenge superoxide anion and improve the activities of antioxidant enzymes. [Conclusion] This study provided scientific basis for the development and application of AEO resources.
文摘The olive variety "Picual' is native to Jaen Province, Spain and is the main cultivar of olive. In 1979, scions were introduced into China and were grafted in Wuchang of Hubei, Chenggu of Shaanxi, Santai and Xichang of Sichuan, and Kunming of Yunnan. Its fruit is oval, and the weight of a single fruit is 5.38 g. The top of fruit is rounded, and stigma exists. The base of fruit is flat. There is a mouth on the top of its fruit, and it is asymmetric. Oil content in fresh fruit is 24.69%, and oleic acid content is 77.5%; the oil quality is good. In the areas with cold winter in dry and hot valleys of the Jinsha River in Yunnan, its fruit matures in late September. In 2016, it was approved to be a good variety by Yunnan Forest Tree Variety Examination and Approving Committee.

文摘[Objective] The aim was to study the changes of zymography in 6 kinds of isozymes after long-term subculture of Emmenopterys henryi Oliv.. [Method] Non-denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was used to analyze isozyme patterns such as esterase (EST),acid phosphatase (ACP),ATP enzyme (ATPase),amylase (AMY),superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) in long-term subculture callus of Emmenopterys henryi Oliv. [Result] The research showed that there were differences among the 6 kinds of isozymes in embryogenic callus and non-embryogenic callus of Emmenopterys henryi Oliv.,and both levels could be taken as the basis for identification, the EST,ACP,and POD of non-embryogenic callus were significantly higher than embryogenic callus. The browning of non-embryogenic callus was non-level in the AMY,SOD and POD isozymes when was compared with normal non-embryogenic callus, while the EST,ACP and ATPase isozymes decreased; When the browning of embryogenic callus was contrasted with normal embryogenic callus,EST isozyme increased and the other 5 kinds of enzymes decreased. [Conclusion] The study provided theoretical basis for research morphological difference and browning of long-term tissue culture of Emmenopterys henryi Oliv..

文摘This study presented an improved CTAB method for extracting DNA from leaves of Populus euphratica Oliv. and Populus pruinosa Schrenk. based on the conventional CTAB method. The results showed that preventing DNA from browning is a key step to obtain the high-quality DNA during DNA extraction, and under the condition of grinding in the presence of liquid nitrogen, adding such three antioxidants as PVP dry powder, Vc and β-mercaptoethanol could prevent DNA from browning effectively. The total DNA extracted by the improved CTAB method was subjected to PCR detection which proved that it totally satisfied the requirements of subsequent study.
文摘[Objective] This research was to study the correlation regional climatic characteristics and changing geographic distribution of Populus euphratica Oliv. (Salicaceae), as well as the adaption of Populus euphratica Oliv. to the climatic environment. [Method] The climatic characteristics, water source, groundwater and soil type in the distribution regions of Populus euphratica Oliv. and the effect of long-term human activities were comprehensively analyzed based an overview of Populus euphratica Oliv. and its distribution. [Result] Specific regional climatic characteristics and long term human activities are the principle determinants for the growth of Populus euphratica Oliv. The change of leaf shape is a distinct feature of Populus euphratica Oliv. in adapting to the climatic environment. Populus euphratica Oliv. withstands various environmental stresses by means of in vivo synthesis, transport and conversion of secondary phenolic metabolites. Effective protection and rehabilitation measures, and ecological water transport have obvious effect on the restoration and reconstruction of damaged ecological environment of Populus euphratica oasis. [Conclusion] This study is of great significance for the restoration of ecological environment in the arid inland regions, north-west China.
