It is primarily detected during esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), and although rare, cases of Barrett’s esophagus and malignant tumors associated with EHGM have been reported. In this article, we review various studies on the relevance of different aspects of EHGM, including etiology and pathogenesis, epidemiology, symptoms and staging, diagnosis, acid secretion studies, tumor transformation, and treatment options.展开更多
