Preliminary Investigation of Formulated Herbal Ointment Demonstrates Amelioration of Excision Wound in Experimental Rabbit Model Compared with Silver Sulfadiazine

In light of the use of Lannea barteri in the management of diverse illnesses and treatment of wounds in traditional medicine, the current study was conducted to assess the wound-healing efficacy of crude aqueous extract of the stem bark of Lannea barteri and its shea butter formulated ointment using an excision wound model in the rabbit. The herbal ointment (5%, w/w) exhibited a significant wound healing activity, showing 99.9% ± 0.3% wound contraction at the end of the experiment (24th day). There was no significant difference (p > 0.05) between the 5% (w/w) herbal ointment compared with Silver Sulphadiazine cream (positive control), which showed a 97.8% ± 1.0% rate of excision wound contraction on day 24. Objective To investigate the antioxidant,antimicrobial and wound healing potential of Helicteres isora Linn.leaf extracts.Methods The petroleum ether,chloroform,acetone,ethanol and hydroalcoholic extracts of leaves were screened for phytochemicals.The 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH),nitric oxide(NO)radical scavenging tests and reducing power assays were performed to measure antioxidant activity;disc diffusion methods were used to evaluate antimicrobial potential.Wound healing activity was evaluated by incision and excision wound rat models.Results The extracts contained mainly sterols and flavonoids.The hydroalcoholic extract showed remarkable antioxidant and antimicrobial potential and significant(P<0.05)wound healing activity.Conclusions The identified activities of the hydroalcoholic extract may be attributable to its constituent phytochemicals. 展开更多

目的:为观察异体胎儿真皮临床应用的可行性.方法:通过19例经胰蛋白酶处理的冷冻异体胎儿真皮与自体表皮重组复合皮,并以单纯自体表皮为对照,作移植实验和动态观察.结果:复合皮移植后抗感染力强,成活率与自体表皮移植组无显著... 目的:为观察异体胎儿真皮临床应用的可行性.方法:通过19例经胰蛋白酶处理的冷冻异体胎儿真皮与自体表皮重组复合皮,并以单纯自体表皮为对照,作移植实验和动态观察.结果:复合皮移植后抗感染力强,成活率与自体表皮移植组无显著性差异(P>0.05),且可防止组织收缩和疤痕形成.同时提出异体胎儿真皮移植首先应满足血型的一致,否则对复合皮质量产生影响.结论:经胰蛋白酶处理的冷冻异体胎儿真皮可作自体表皮移植的载体,是理想的真皮替代物.临床应用异体胎儿真皮一次性完成复合皮移植术,提高了植皮外形效果,节省了患者的皮源,可以临床推广应用. 展开更多

目的观察复方鸡子黄油膏对大鼠创面修复不同时期创面组织中表皮生长因子受体(epithelial growth factor receptor,EGFR)、纤维结合蛋白(fibronectin,FN)含量及转化生长因子β1(transforming growth factor-β1,TGF-β1)表达的影响。方... 目的观察复方鸡子黄油膏对大鼠创面修复不同时期创面组织中表皮生长因子受体(epithelial growth factor receptor,EGFR)、纤维结合蛋白(fibronectin,FN)含量及转化生长因子β1(transforming growth factor-β1,TGF-β1)表达的影响。方法选取雌雄各半实验大鼠40只,随机分为空白组、模型组、龙珠软膏组(龙珠组)、复方鸡子黄油膏组(鸡子黄组),除空白组外,每组予以小面积全层皮肤缺损创面造模,造模成功后各组予以相应干预,连续14 d,除空白组随机取背部皮肤组织外,其他3组均分别于第7、14天取创面组织制作切片并同时进行免疫组化法测定EGFR、FN、TGF-β1。结果治疗后第7、14天鸡子黄组EGFR、FN、TGF-β1含量均高于其他各组(P<0.05)。结论复方鸡子黄油膏通过提高创面EGFG、FN、TGF-β1的含量促进局部组织再生而起修复作用。 展开更多

目的:探讨云南白药合用重组牛碱性成纤维细胞生长因子(rb-bFGF)凝胶对宫颈环形电切术(LEEP)后创面恢复状况的影响。方法:选取2019年12月至2021年12月上饶市妇幼保健院进行宫颈LEEP刀治疗的70例患者,采用随机数字表法分为对照组(n=35)与... 目的:探讨云南白药合用重组牛碱性成纤维细胞生长因子(rb-bFGF)凝胶对宫颈环形电切术(LEEP)后创面恢复状况的影响。方法:选取2019年12月至2021年12月上饶市妇幼保健院进行宫颈LEEP刀治疗的70例患者,采用随机数字表法分为对照组(n=35)与观察组(n=35)。两组均使用rb-bFGF凝胶治疗,观察组加用云南白药治疗。比较两组临床疗效、温哥华瘢痕量表(VSS)评分、术后出血量、术后出血时间、创面愈合时间、术后2个月内渗液状况及并发症发生状况。结果:对照组总有效率明显低于观察组,VSS得分、并发症发生率、术后出血量、创面愈合及术后出血时间均显著高于观察组(P<0.05)。观察组渗液状况显著优于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:对宫颈LEEP刀术后患者使用云南白药合用rb-bFGF凝胶具有较好疗效,有利于创面愈合,避免并发症发生,值得在临床推广使用。 展开更多

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the potential wound healing activity of Tecomaria capensis leaves extract (TCLE) using different models in rats. (a) Excision wound model, (b) Incision wound model and (c) Dead space wound model. TCLE (100, 300, 1 000 and 2 000 mg·kg-1) was given to rats to observe acute toxicity. No toxicity was found in animals till 14 days. TCLE 5% and 10% ointment were applied topically in excision wound model and incision wound model. TCLE 200 and 400 mg·kg-1 were given orally in dead space wound model. It improved healing in excision wound model, increased breaking strength of tissue in incision wound model, and increased granuloma breaking strength and hydroxyproline content in dead space wound model. These results showed that TCLE presents significant wound healing activity. 展开更多
