Existence and Uniqueness of Global Solution for Certain Degenerate Reaction-Diffusion Systems

In this paper we discuss the following nonlinear degenerate parabolic systems u_i=△a_i(u_i)+b_i(x,t,u_i)Du_i+f_i(x,t,u)for i = 1,2, …, m and u = (u_1,…, u_m) is a vector function, with Dirichlet boundary condition. Under some structure conditions on a_i,b_i and f_i and initial data u_i^o∈Li(Ω) for some pi>p_i^o = 1,2,…,m, the result on existence and uniquence of global solution is established.

THE GLOBAL EXISTENCE OF STRONG SOLUTIONS TO THERMOMECHANICAL CUCKER-SMALE-STOKES EQUATIONS IN THE WHOLE DOMAIN

We study the global existence and uniqueness of a strong solution to the kinetic thermomechanical Cucker-Smale(for short,TCS) model coupled with Stokes equations in the whole space.The coupled system consists of the kinetic TCS equation for a particle ensemble and the Stokes equations for a fluid via a drag force.In this paper,we present a complete analysis of the existence of global-in-time strong solutions to the coupled model without any smallness restrictions on the initial data.

THE EXISTENCE AND LOCAL UNIQUENESS OF MULTI-PEAK SOLUTIONS TO A CLASS OF KIRCHHOFF TYPE EQUATIONS

In this paper,we study the existence and local uniqueness of multi-peak solutions to the Kirchhoff type equations-(ε^(2)a+εb∫_(R^(3))|■u|^(2))△u+V(x)u=u^(p),u>0 in R^(3),which concentrate at non-degenerate critical points of the potential function V(x),where a,b>0,1<p<5 are constants,andε>0 is a parameter.Applying the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method and a local Pohozaev type identity,we establish the existence and local uniqueness results of multi-peak solutions,which concentrate at{a_(i)}1≤i≤k,where{a_(i)}1≤i≤k are non-degenerate critical points of V(x)asε→0.

Global Existence, Uniqueness of Weak Solutions and Determining Functionals for Nonlinear Wave Equations

We consider the initial-boundary value problem for a nonlinear wave equation with strong structural damping and nonlinear source terms in IR. We prove the global existence and uniqueness of weak solutions of the problem and then we will study the determining modes on the phase space by using energy methods and the concept of the completeness defect.

GLOBAL WEAK SOLUTIONS OF COMPRESSIBLE NAVIER-STOKES-LANDAU-LIFSHITZ-MAXWELL EQUATIONS FOR QUANTUM FLUIDS IN DIMENSION THREE

In this paper,we consider the weak solutions of compressible Navier-StokesLandau-Lifshitz-Maxwell(CNSLLM)system for quantum fluids with a linear density dependent viscosity in a 3D torus.By introducing the cold pressure Pc,we prove the global existence of weak solutions with the pressure P+Pc,where P=Aργwithγ≥1.Our main result extends the one in[13]on the quantum Navier-Stokes equations to the CNSLLM system.

Serre was improved for Cauchy problem of compressible adiabatic flow through porous media, and a complete result on the global existence and the blow-up phenomena of classical solutions of these systems. These results show that the dissipation is strong enough to preserve the smoothness of ‘small ’ solution.

GLOBAL EXISTENCE OF THE SOLUTION FOR THE LANDAU-LIFSHITZ EQUATION OF THE FERROMAGNETIC SPIN CHAIN

In this paper, we establish the global existence of the solution for the Landau-Lifshitz equation of the ferromagnetic spin chain. By Galerkin method, we first show the existence of the local solution for this equation, and then by a priori estimates method, we extend the local solution to a global solution.

New Developments on Existence and Uniqueness of Solutions to Some Models in Atmospheric Dynamics

This survey is concerned with the new developments on existence and uniqueness of solutions of some basic models in atmospheric dynamics, such as two-and three-dimensional quasi-geostrophic models and three-dimensional balanced model. The main aim of this paper is to introduce some results about the global and local (with respect to time) existence of solutions given by the authors in recent years, but others' important contributions and the literature on this subject are also quoted. We discuss briefly the relationships among the existence and uniqueness, physical instability and computational instability. In the appendixes, some key mathematical techniques in obtaining our results are presented, which are of vital importance to other problems in geophysical fluid dynamics as well.

Global Existence and Large Time Asymptotic Behavior of Strong Solution to the Cauchy Problem of 2D Density-Dependent Boussinesq Equations with Vacuum

We dedicate to the 2D density-dependent nonhomogeneous incompressible Boussinesq equations with vacuum on . At infinity, if the attenuation of initial density and temperature is not very slow. And it is gained that there is a global strong solution and is unique for the 2D Cauchy problem with the initial density which can allow vacuum conditions and even have compact support. Besides, the large time decay rates of the gradients of velocity, temperature and pressure can also be obtained which are also the same as those of the homogeneous case.

Existence and Nonexistence of Global Solution for Quasilinear Parabolic Equation

This paper deals with the existence and nonexistence of global positive solutions of the following quasilinear parabolic equations:u t=1m△u m-u n, x∈Ω,t>0 1m·u mv=u p,x∈Ω,t>0 u(x,0)=u 0(x)>0,x∈Ω-where Ω∈R N is a bounded domain with smooth boundary Ω,m,n,p are positive constants, γ is the outward normal vector. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the global existence of solutions are obtained.
