Especially, vesicles were characterized by FF-TEM and the transition of self-assemblies was determined. The stacked lamellar Lα-phase was prepared without shear forces by a chemical reaction. The stacked lamellar Lα-phase can be transformed into multilamellar vesicles by the shearing forces that occur when the stacked lamellar Lα-phase sample is turned upside down a few times. The multilamellar vesicles can also be transformed into unilamellar vesicles by high shearing forces. These transitions were demonstrated by FF-TEM measurements. Zn2+-induced vesicle formation in the single-chain surfactant solutions was first achieved.展开更多

In normal rats the mean density of square arrays (6 nm particles organized in orthogonal arrays) was 9.02/μm2 for the nonjunctional sarcolemmas of fast-twitch extensor digitorum longus (control EDL,CE) nuscle fibres and 0.34/μm2 for the nonjunctional sarcolemmas of slow-twitch soleus (control SOL, CS) muscle fibres. After cross-innervation between the fast-twitch EDL and slow-twitch SOL muscle fibres by slow and fast muscle merves respectively for three months, the mean density was 0.45/μm2 for the nonjunetional sarcolemmas of the operated-EDL (OE) and 8.3/μm2 for the nonjunctional sarcolemmas of the operated SOL (OS). This indicates that the cross-innervation causes a reciprocal transformation of the number and distribution of such macromolecular organizations in the electrically excitable nonjunctional sarcolemmas.展开更多

It was found that there were some rules between the volume of MML and the concentration of each component, and the interfacial tension between MML and the oil phase or water phase could reach an ultra-low value. Especially, the freeze-fracture TEM micrographs of MML were firstly obtained, and the new viewpoint was put forward that there coexist the structures of micelle, microemulsions and emulsions in MML and the structure of microemulsion is dominant. This would make an important effect on the research of surfactant theory and ASP flooding mechanism.展开更多
