The dementia’s impact affects people with the disorder and those in their social networks, most notably, their families. This study’s aim was to explore the experiences of family relationships when a family member has dementia. We conducted semi-structured interviews with people diagnosed with dementia, their spouses and adult children. Seventeen participants were interviewed. All participants were recruited in open-ended ongoing structured support groups provided by a Swedish municipality in order to elicit the participants’ subjective experiences on family relationships after the dementia diagnosis. Researchers used content analysis to examine the transcripts. Two main themes were identified, one relating to changed relationships where the participants experienced longing, lost closeness, loneliness and changed sibling relationships. The second theme related to supporting relationships within the family with experiences such as kinship, shared responsibilities and love and appreciation. Support should therefore focus on creating relationships and giving opportunities for conversations about changes within the families and difficult decisions, creating family or team support for those who need it. 展开更多

BACKGROUND This research demonstrates that nurses feel pain because the pandemic process has separated them from their family and children.AIM To examine the family relationship situation of nurses in the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.METHODS The research adopted a descriptive qualitative design.Participants were selected by the snowball method. An individual in-depth interview technique was used while the participants were away.In-depth interviews were made with a total of 27 nurses.Nine of these nurses were excluded from the study due to communication problems and device problems during the interview.RESULTS This research showed that nurses suffered from family relationship breakdown and insufficiency in intrafamilial coping. The nurses stayed away from their families due to overtime and fear of COVID-19.They cannot meet the needs of their children and spouses for whom they are responsible, and they cannot spare time for them. They were living a tiring life with great responsibility and faced with mental problems such as burnout syndrome and depression. This study was conducted in three cities with a high number of COVID-19 cases in Turkey. We investigated three themes:Breakdown in continuity of intrafamilial relationship, ineffectiveness in role performance, and ineffective individual coping.CONCLUSION The nurses suffer from conditions such as change in parent-infant/child relation and insufficiency in intrafamilial process coping. 展开更多

Better and greater coordination and integration between companies are essential for tourist destination development processes improving competitiveness. Moreover,it is difficult to imagine that all companies can cooperate. In this way,we can imagine finding a group of companies that, for several reasons, decide to cooperate, creating some clusters as small groups.Companies with stable connections with other clusters or relevant companies could be relevant and central to Tourism Destination(TD)management. In this way,the knowledge of network articulation seems to be critical for TD management business dynamics. In most cases, the relationships are hidden and not formalised, increasing the complexity in TD analysis. The presence of clusters is possibly vitrificated using the Social Network Analysis(SNA)methodology. The present work could be framed in cooperative networks since it analyses the companies’commercial networks and clusters groups. The article focuses on how groupings of small firms can govern Tourism Destinations. This paper uses network indexes and metrics to emphasise structural features regarding the density and centrality of relationships. As the main result,in the case study analysed, there is a relational framework where three clusters of companies with a high density of exchanges emerge. These groups can influence the tourism business at the destination. 展开更多
