By benefiting from the development of the semiconductor technology, many-core system-on-chips(SoCs)have been widely used in electronic devices. Network-on-chips(NoCs) can address the massive stress of on-chip communications due to the advantages of high bandwidth, low latency, and good flexibility. Since deep sub-micron era, the reliability has become a critical constraint for integrated circuits. To provide correct data transmission, faulttolerant NoCs have been researched widely in last decades, and many valuable designs have been proposed. This work introduces and summarizes the state-of-the-art technologies for fault diagnosis and fault recovery in faulttolerant NoCs. Moreover, this work makes prospects for the future’s research. 展开更多

It gives a pictorial representation and logical framework for analyzing the reliability. Also, it has been used for a long time as an effective method for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the failure modes of critical systems. In this paper, we propose a new general coverage model (GCM) based on hardware independent faults. Using this model, an effective software tool can be constructed to detect, locate and recover fault from the faulty system. This model can be applied to identify the key component that can cause the failure of the system using failure mode effect analysis (FMEA). 展开更多

SIPS network reconfiguration is a non-linear large-scale problem. The reconfiguration solution influences the safety and stable operation of the power system. According to the operational characteristics of SIPS, a simplified model of power network and a mathematical model for network reconfiguration are established. Based on these models, a multi-agent and ant colony optimization(MAACO) is proposed to solve the problem of network reconfiguration. The simulations are carried out to demonstrate that the optimization method can reconstruct the integrated power system network accurately and efficiently. 展开更多

Relative measurements are exploited to cooperatively detect and recover faults in the positioning of Mobile Agent(MA)Swarms(MASs).First,a network vertex fault detection method based on edge testing is proposed.For each edge,a property that has a functional relationship with the properties of its two vertices is measured and tested.Based on the edge testing results of the network,the maximum likelihood principle is used to identify the vertex fault sources.Second,an edge distance testing method based on the noncentral chi-square distribution is developed for detecting faults in the Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)positioning of MASs.Third,a recovery strategy for faults in the positioning of MASs based on distance measurement is provided.The effectiveness of the proposed methods is validated by a simulation case in which an MAS passes through a GNSS spoofing zone.The proposed methods are conducive to increasing the robustness of the positioning of MASs in complex environments.The main novelties include the following:(A)network vertex fault detection is based on concrete probability analysis rather than simple majority voting,and(B)the relation of detectability and recoverability of MAS positioning faults with the structure of the relative measurement network is first disclosed. 展开更多

To reduce the probability of commutation failure(CF)of a line commutated converter based high-voltage direct current(LCC-HVDC)transmission,a DC chopper topology composed of power consumption sub-modules based on thyristor full-bridge module(TFB-PCSM)is proposed.Firstly,the mechanism of the proposed topology to mitigate CF is analyzed,and the working modes of TFB-PCSM in different operation states are introduced.Secondly,the coordinated control strategy between the proposed DC chopper and LCC-HVDC is designed,and the voltage-current stresses of the TFB-PCSMs are investigated.Finally,the ability to mitigate the CF issues and the fault recovery performance of LCC-HVDC system are studied in PSCAD/EMTDC.The results show that the probability of CF of LCC-HVDC is significantly reduced,and the performances of fault recovery are effectively improved by the proposed DC chopper. 展开更多
