Objective:To assess the feasibility of coronary angiography by transradial approach with 4F catheter.Methods:The procedural details,picture quality,local complication were recorded for coronary by transradial approach...Objective:To assess the feasibility of coronary angiography by transradial approach with 4F catheter.Methods:The procedural details,picture quality,local complication were recorded for coronary by transradial approach with 4F catheter in 138 patients.Results:The success rate of angiography was 97.7%;fluoroscopy time was(5.05±3.23)minutes,total procedural time was(20.51±3.37)minutes;the incidence of dislodgement,excessive engagement of either coronary artery was 7.8%,9.4%,repectively;the angiographic scores for left anterior descending,circumflex and right coronary arteries were(2.87±0.40),(2.88±0.39),(2.90±0.35),respectively.The spasm complication occurred 4.3% in radial artery and 1.5% in coronary artery.There were no occlusion of radial artery during follow up.Conclusion:4F catheter could be the first chosen in some selecting patients for its nice maneuverability,fine images and fewer vascular complications.展开更多

For MPC integrated with soft sensor, considering the soft constraints for critical variables additionally makes it more complicated and difficult for feasibility analysis and constraint adjustment. Therefore, the main contributions are that a linear programming approach is proposed for feasibility analysis, and the corresponding constraint adjustment method and procedure are given as well. The feasibility analysis gives considerations to the manipulated, secondary and critical variables, and the increment of manipulated variables as well. The feasibility analysis and the constraint adjustment are conducted in the entire control process and guarantee the existence of optimal control. The energy efficient product can be operated with longer duration.They offer wonderful solutions compared to other conventional water pumping system as it needs less maintenance,simple in installation,zero fuel cost,l...The energy efficient product can be operated with longer duration.They offer wonderful solutions compared to other conventional water pumping system as it needs less maintenance,simple in installation,zero fuel cost,longer operating life,highly reliable and free from production of greenhouse gases.In this paper we analyzed the different topologies of DC–DC converter in terms of their operating region of MPPT,quality of input and output currents.We discussed the MPPT algorithms to address partial shading effects in SPV array,present state of the technology,factors affecting the performance of the system,efficiency improvements and identified the research gaps.Also,the economic feasibility analysis has been done for the real time scenario using the Homer Pro software.The estimation of total dynamic head and horse power calculation has been done to decide the total load capacity.The economic analysis results such as cumulative cash flow over project lifetime of 25 years are presented.It is observed that the capital investment requirement is$7,425 for installing Fronius PV system that has a nominal capacity of 2.47 kW and annualized savings will be$134.93.In the long-term perspective,the return on investment is−2.18%as per the present tariff plan.展开更多

However, main...Projects for energy supply based on the exploitation of renewable energy have a very predictable cash flow. The initial costs are usually high, with the acquisition of technologically evolving equipment. However, maintenance costs are relatively low and easily predictable. Likewise, operating costs are often very low as there is no need to buy inputs. Power storage devices are often short-lived and contribute to a relative cost increase. At the same time, these projects are often not approved because they are directly compared to projects based on non-renewable resources, with cash flows that may not be so easily predictable and with much lower start-up costs. Fossil fuels have hardly predictable costs, established by non-technical criteria and related to geopolitical issues. In addition, their operating costs are usually very high, precisely because of the need to purchase fossil fuels. This paper proposes the calculation of terminal value in cash flows of power generation projects and its application for feasibility analysis of projects based on renewable resources. The proposed method suggests the calculation of terminal value as the moving average calculated for five-year intervals with constant growth rate of 5%. This method also encourages the inclusion in the cash flow of annual values that add up to the end of the analysis period the sufficient value to renew the system components at the end of the usual analysis period of 20 - 25 years. The application of the proposed method to a diesel wind system simulated with the well-known Homer software indicates the modification of the results of the Homer with the preference for systems with greater wind penetration instead of the systems with greater consumption of fossil fuels.展开更多

Utilizing anaerobic metabolisms for the production of biotechnologically relevant products presents potential advantages,such as increased yields and reduced energy dissipation.However,lower energy dissipation may ind...Utilizing anaerobic metabolisms for the production of biotechnologically relevant products presents potential advantages,such as increased yields and reduced energy dissipation.However,lower energy dissipation may indicate that certain reactions are operating closer to their thermodynamic equilibrium.While stoichiometric analyses and genetic modifications are frequently employed in metabolic engineering,the use of thermodynamic tools to evaluate the feasibility of planned interventions is less documented.In this study,we propose a novel metabolic engineering strategy to achieve an efficient anaerobic production of poly-(R)-3-hydroxybutyrate(PHB)in the model organism Escherichia coli.Our approach involves re-routing of two-thirds of the glycolytic flux through non-oxidative glycolysis and coupling PHB synthesis with NADH re-oxidation.We complemented our stoichiometric analysis with various thermodynamic approaches to assess the feasibility and the bottlenecks in the proposed engineered pathway.According to our calculations,the main thermodynamic bottleneck are the reactions catalyzed by the acetoacetyl-CoAβ-ketothiolase(EC 2.3.1.9)and the acetoacetyl-CoA reductase(EC 1.1.1.36).Furthermore,we calculated thermodynamically consistent sets of kinetic parameters to determine the enzyme amounts required for sustaining the conversion fluxes.In the case of the engineered conversion route,the protein pool necessary to sustain the desired fluxes could account for 20%of the whole cell dry weight.展开更多

The Loess Plateau ...Cropping systems worldwide have been affected by the current trend in global warming and the optimization of cropping systems is an important area of research in the transition of agricultural land. The Loess Plateau is a typical ecologically fragile region with the most serious soil erosion in China. We carried out a field experiment in Yan’an city on the Loess Plateau to explore the effect of sowing date on crop growth and yield. We then analyzed the feasibility of a double-cropping system by considering climatic adaptability, ecological suitability and economic viability. Our results showed that different sowing dates resulted in significant differences in crop growth and that appropriate early sowing can result in higher crop yields for early maturing varieties. We showed that double-cropping systems of sweet maize(Zea mays)–forage rape and feed maize–forage rape are feasible on the Loess Plateau. We discuss the implications for the efficient use of farmland, which is important in guiding agricultural supply-side reform and the development of modern agricultural management.展开更多
In the traditional extractive distillation process,organic solvents are often used as entrainers.However,environmental influence and high energy-consumption are significant problems in industrial application.In this s...In the traditional extractive distillation process,organic solvents are often used as entrainers.However,environmental influence and high energy-consumption are significant problems in industrial application.In this study,a systematic screening strategy and innovative energy-saving design for ionic liquid-based extractive distillation process was proposed.The innovative energy-saving design focused on the binary minimum azeotrope mixtures isopropanol and water.Miscibility,environmental impact and physical properties(e.g.,melting point and viscosity)of 30 ionic liquids were investigated.1-Ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium dicyanamide and 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium dicyanamide were selected as candidate entrainers.Feasibility analysis of these two ionic liquids was further performed via residue curve maps,isovolatility line and temperature profiles.An innovative ionic liquid-based extractive distillation process combining distillation column and stripping column was designed and optimized with the objective function of minimizing the total annualized cost.The results demonstrate that the total annualized cost was reduced by 19.9%with 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium dicyanamide as the entrainer and by 24.3%with 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium dicyanamide,compared with that of dimethyl sulfoxide.The method proposed in this study is conducive to the green and sustainable development of extractive distillation process.展开更多
