The proposed approach does not require training information of the sources and therefore, it is highly suited for practicality of SCSS. The major problem of most existing SCSS algorithms lies in their inability to resolve the mixing ambiguity in the single channel observation. Our proposed approach tackles this difficult problem by using filterbank which decomposes the mixed signal into sub-band domain. This will result the mixture in sub-band domain to be more separable. By incorporating SNMF2D algorithm, the spectral-temporal structure of the sources can be obtained more accurately. Real time test has been conducted and it is shown that the proposed method gives high quality source separation performance.展开更多

The objective of this paper is to model the FMT system with polyphase fil- terbank network, design its synthesis/analysis orthogonal filterbanks and analyze their performance. Oversampled and critically sampled cases of FMT system are discussed in detail. Perfect Reconstruc- tion (PR) properties of M parallel orthogonal subchannels in the case of critically sampled is derived from filterbank polyphase decomposition. Diverse types of prototype filters which include Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) and Finite Impulse Response (FIR) are designed and analyzed. Performance analysis of orthogonal filterbanks which are implemented by these prototype filters are proposed and compared respectively. Simulation results of FMT orthogonal filterbanks are presented. In the end, the application prospect of FMT is discussed.展开更多

Single Phase Center MultiBeam (SPCMB) technique can overcome this limitation by adding spatial sampling through multiple receivers in azimuth direction. Unfortunately, this approach will lead to an increase of azimuth ambiguities (interbeam ambiguities), because each receive beam’s mainlobe overlaps with the other ones’ sidelobes. This paper proves that the front part of SPCMB SAR systems can be considered to be a hybrid filterbank. Therefore, the azimuth signal can be reconstructed and the interbeam am- biguities can be effectively suppressed by a well-designed hybrid filterbank.展开更多

In this paper, with a filterbank interpretation of sampling schemes, the efficient interpolation and reconstruction methods for periodic nonuniform sampling and multi-channel sampling in the fractional Fourier domain are presented. Firstly, the interpolation and sampling identities in the fractional Fourier domain are derived by the properties of the fractional Fourier transform. Then, the particularly efficient filterbank implementations for the periodic nonuniform sampling and the multi-channel sampling in the fractional Fourier domain are introduced. At last, the relationship between the multi-channel sampling and the filterbank in the fractional Fourier domain is investigated, which shows that any perfect reconstruction filterbank can lead to new sampling and reconstruction strategies.展开更多
