Anxiety of the colleague students was first tested by test anxiety scale (TAS) and then treated by biofeedback. After getting the biofeedback treatment, the students' TAS scores, blood volume pulse, and skin conductance were decreased, especially, their TAS scores dropped markedly. Meanwhile, the level of EEG (61 rhythm/a rhythm) and peripheral temperature increased observably. And their therapeutic effects based on neurofeedback were more stable, durative and less reerudescent.展开更多

Nevertheless, there is no single test that can reliably classify subjects as being sensitive or insensitive to pain. Methods: In the present study, hierarchical clustering and K-means cluster analysis was used to identify subgroups among 191 healthy subjects (105 females, 86 males) according to their sensitivity to pain. Group determination was based on the subjects’ response to experimental noxious stimuli of heat (pain intensity), cold (cold pain threshold, tolerance, and intensity), and conditioned pain modulation (CPM, tested by co-administering repeated short painful heat stimuli and a conditioning tonic cold pain stimulation). In addition, in order to determine if the subjects in these subgroups differed on personality traits scores on Cloninger’s Tridimensional Personality Questionnaire (TPQ, outcome measure) for the three dimensions of personality: Novelty Seeking (NS);Harm Avoidance (HA);and Reward Dependence (RD) were calculated. Results: Based on pain scores, subjects were grouped as low pain (57%) with a low level of sensitivity in pain parameters, or high pain (43%) cluster members. The high pain had significant higher scores of HA (p = 0.05) and RD (p = 0.05) than the low pain group. Conclusions: This method of sub-grouping may be useful for identifying the mechanisms underlying individual variability in the sensitivity to pain and may point to groups at risk for experiencing high levels of clinical pain.展开更多

Although already recognized as a research method in several specialties, 6TC has not been used in rheumatology. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) may have impaired functional capacity as well as increased cardiovascular mortality. An adequate functional evaluation of these patients is necessary and the 6TC may be useful in this sense. Objective: The aim of this study was to perform the 6-minute walk test in RA patients and to compare the performance with a control group. Method: A cross-sectional study was carried out in which the sample consisted of 85 women, 46 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 39 healthy controls. A descriptive analysis of the data was performed. One-Way ANOVA methodology was used to compare the patient and control groups followed by the graphic analysis. Results: The distance walked on the 6TC by RA patients was on average 522.2 meters. In the distance control group found in the 6TC was on average 628.8 meters, the difference being statistically significant. Conclusion: In this study the distance covered in 6TC by women with RA was lower than that of healthy women of the same age.展开更多

文摘Lung cancer is emerging as a common malignancy worldwide, with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)accounting for approximately 85%of all cases.Two-dimensional(2D)in vitro cell line cultures and animal models are currently used to study NSCLC.However,2D cell cultures fail to replicate the medication response and neoplastic heterogeneity of parental tumors.Animal models are expensive and require lengthy modeling cycles. The generation of in vitro three-dimensional(3D)tissue cultures called organoids, which exhibit multicellular, anatomical, and functional properties of real organs,is now achievable owing to advancements in stem cell culturing. The genetic, proteomic, morphological, and pharmacological characteristics of tumors are largely preserved in tumor organoids grown in vitro. The design and physiology of human organs can be precisely reconstructed in tumor organoids, opening new possibilities for complementing the use of animal models and studying human diseases. This review summarizes the development of NSCLC organoids and their applications in basic research, drug testing, immunotherapy, and individualized treatments.
