In order to solve the design problem of dynamic load of a carrier-based aircraft, according to the relevant criteria of national military standards, eight key flight parameters of the dynamic load conditions for the aircraft carrier were selected.Based on the multivariable distribution data of landing flight parameters obtained from flight test, the distribution form and range limitation of each flight parameter were determined by using the probability distribution of each flight parameter and the spatial relationship among variables.Furthermore,100000 sets of data were constructed to simulate the landing condition of aircraft in the form of random number. After the envelope is screened by multivariable joint probability distribution, the boundary conditions were compared and merged, and finally the dynamic load conditions were obtained. In this paper,a set of dynamic load condition design method based on the aircraft requirements is constructed, which systematically covers all kinds of situations that occur in the process of aircraft landing, and improves the conventional design process of aircraft dynamic load. 展开更多

To determine proper flight parameters of an unmanned helicopter for tea plantation frost protection, field experiments were conducted to study the impact of flight height, speed and interval on airflow disturbance and temperature rise around tea canopies based on the analysis and simulation of frost protection with a certain helicopter. The relationship between temperature rise after flight and the above flight parameters was established through a regression orthogonal experiment, based on which the optimal combination of flight parameters was obtained through the single-factor golden section method. The results showed that wind speed around tea canopies decreased with the increase of flight height when flight speed was constant. There was a multivariate linear relationship between temperature rise and flight parameters, and the sequence of flight parameters’influence on frost protection effect was flight interval, flight height, flight speed. The optimal combination of flight parameters were flight height of 4.0 m,flight speed of 6.0 m/s and flight interval of 20 min. After the flight with the above parameters air temperature around tea canopies increased 1.6℃ when background thermal inversion strength was 3.8℃. 展开更多

Floral resources, such as carbohydrate-rich nectar or pollen, can bolster fitness and raise reproductive output of adult lepidopterans. Here,we used laboratory experiments to assess how those plant-derived foods impact adult fecundity, reproductive physiology and flight performance of an invasive strain of the fall armyworm,Spodoptera frugiperda(FAW;Lepidoptera:Noctuidae)in China.More specifically, supplementary feeding on bee pollen and honey enhanced FAW flight duration, testis size, ovarian development, longevity and adult fecundity.FAW adults attained the longest pre-oviposition(10.8 days)and oviposition period(6.8 days)and longevity(19.2 days)on 5%acacia honey.Upon access to 2.5%acacia honey and 2.5‰pine pollen,S.frugiperda attained the highest mating rate(79.7%),fecundity(644.9 eggs/female)and egg hatching rate(82.3%).Feeding on honey further delayed decay of male testes, while ovarian development was enhanced when female moths were allowed access to 2.5%honey and 2.5‰pine pollen.Upon feeding on 5%honey solution,S.frugiperda engaged in flight over the longest duration(9.5 h),distance(29.9 km)and speed(3.1 km h-1).Honey had a comparatively greater effect on the above parameters than pollen. Our findings help decipher FAW invasion patterns and population dynamics, facilitate the development of nutritional attractants, and contribute to integrated pest management of this newly-invasive pest in eastern Asia. 展开更多

Unmanned agricultural aircraft system(UAAS)hasbeen widely employed as a low-cost and reliable method to apply agrochemicals to small agricultural fields in China. The performance of battery-poweredmultirotor UAAS has attracted considerable attention from manufacturers and researchers. The objective of this research was to design a UAAS equippingwith a data acquisition system,to characterize its chemical application performance based on droplet deposition data and optimize the operating parameters. Each test was repeated three times to assess the reliability of the spraying system.Various flight parameters were also evaluated. The optimal spray pressure for the XR8001 and XR8002(TeeJet,Wheaton,IL,USA)nozzles was found to be 300 kPa,and the latter nozzle had a higher droplet deposition rate and spray volume.Spray volume was not significantly affected by the flight speed or droplet density and was negatively correlated with the nozzle pressure. The results of this study provide a basis for improving the efficiency of UAAS chemicalapplication systems in terms of large-scale application. 展开更多
