Forest harvesting policy is one of the main criteria indicating how and how much the human beings open up and make use offorest. Whether the policy is reasonable or not has high relations with not only the increasing or decreasing of forest system, but also the development speed of human society. In this paper, the author analyzed the development of interaction between human society and forest ecosystem from ancient times to today. Then author stated that the rational harvesting policy should be the harvesting sequences of both harvesting density and harvesting time, which might result in the maximumcomprehensive benefit, including economical profit, social benefit and ecological benefit, of forest to human society. Atlast, according to the analysis of interaction bctween human-beings and her environment, the prediction analysis for humansociety development in forest regions in the future was prescnted using Entropy Growing Analysis.展开更多

The State Forestry Administration has experienced great success in a short time. By 1997, the State Forestry Administration had built 874 forest parks, with a total area of 7.48×10~6 hm^2. More than 50 000 000 tourists visited the parks each year. The forest parks have become the new focus of forest-based ecotourism in China. This success demonstrated that the use of forest resources and the development of tourism had moved into a new period. To assure the healthy growth of forest-based ecotourism in China, based on the theory of sustainable development, we have made several suggestions about how to improve forest parks and develop forest-based ecotourism. Our recommendations are grounded in the principles of resource protection, moderate exports of forest products, and recognition of the special character of individual park.展开更多

The soil erosion can be seen as on-site impacts, such as the problems of decreasing soil fertility and also its off-site impact such as the problems of sedimentation of the nearby rivers, whilst the degradation of ESVG are more holistie in nature, These impacts can be devastating in environmental, biological, and socio-economic manners. This paper reports the study undertaken on the impacts of agricultural development in 0.8 million ha of forest dominated landscape in Pasoh Forest Region (PFR), Malaysia, within period of 8 years from 1995 to 2003. Three folds of impacts on agricultural development examined and analysed, are: (i) relationship of total soil loss and changes in land use pattern, (ii) mapping trends of ESVG for PFR in 1995 and 2003, and (iii) risk assessment of ESVG based on simulation of converting 339,630 ha of primary forest into mass-scale oil palm plantation. Results of this study indicated that although only minor changes of about 1464 ha (about 0.2% of PFR) of primary forest was converted to agricultural activities, it have significantly increased the total soil loss from 59 to 69 million ton/ha/yr. The mean rate of soil is loss for PFR is 0.8 mil ton/ha/yr and if translated into ESVG term, the soil loss costs about US$ 4.8mil/yr. However, majority of the soil loss within all land use classes are within range of very low-low risk categories (〈10 ton/ha/yr). ESVG for PFR were costing US$ 179 millions in 1995, declined to US$114 millions in 2003 due to 0.2% reduction of forested land. The ESVG of converting 339,630 ha primary forest into mass plantation cost less than original forest within period of 20 years examined; the 20th year of conversion, the ESVG of plantation and to-remain as forest cost US$ 963 and US$ 575 millions, respectively. However, this difference is only marginal when full attributes of ESVG are considered.展开更多

文摘The paper had introduced researches on urban forest park and analyzed its particularity. In terms of elimination of externality during development and tourism consumption process of urban forest park, real estate agent had been introduced and two assumptions had been proposed to eliminate externality. As for elimination of externality during development of urban forest park, right to use planning land for urban forest park and surrounding land for real estate development would be sold to estate agent who would develop urban forest park and commodity house;the management of forest urban park would be undertaken by tourism development companies for which estate agent would make compensation. As for elimination of externality during tourism consumption process,it would control with policies and laws,or establish ticket system. As the study hadn't been conducted on policies about urban land and real estate, the feasibility of the first assumption needed to be further studied by environmental economists.
文摘Forests are considered as a sacred asset in India and have guided the way of living throughout its history.Indian forests not only accommodate the myriad species but also act as a survival support system to the communities that depended on them. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development proposed by the United Nations(UN)has gained momentum and becomes an integral part of the recent efforts of Indian governance. In this investigation,we examined the potential nexus between Indian forestry system(biodiversity-enriched assets, ecosystem services, constitutional mechanisms, and governances)and Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)through theoretical underpinnings from literature that selected from database like Google Scholar,Indian forest survey reports, and information retrieved from Indian government websites. The significance of this review is that it presents comprehensive information about Indian forestry,biodiversity-rich assets, and sustainable forest management practices. The results show that Indian forestry as a whole is an integral part of the food-energy-water cycle and contributes to all dimensions of sustainable development,i.e.,economic sustainability, social sustainability, and environmental sustainability. The investigation confirms that besides partly contributing to the economy and life support systems to many dependent species, forests also act as boosters in the areas of food security and health.Targets related to the climate action, peace, and partnership goals are well in place through various forestry interventions and environmental commitments by the Government of India.

Some Countermeasures and suggestions were put forward for restoration of forest ecology of the province.
文摘Forest ecosystem is one of the most important ecosystems in the world that human-beings rely on. Atlast, according to the analysis of interaction bctween human-beings and her environment, the prediction analysis for humansociety development in forest regions in the future was prescnted using Entropy Growing Analysis.
文摘In the spirit of the trend toward opening and reforming China, the State Forestry Administration has taken advantage of the opportunity to improve forest parks and develop forest-based ecotourism. Our recommendations are grounded in the principles of resource protection, moderate exports of forest products, and recognition of the special character of individual park.

文摘The purpose of this study was to classify current forest cover types, and to investigate stand development patterns for natural forests in six areas in northern Baekdudaegan,South Korea.Twenty-eight independent forest communities were aggregated into eight forest cover types by species composition in the overstory of each forest community. The forest cover types were of mixed mesophytic,‘‘others’ ’ deciduous,Quercus mongolica dominant,Q.mongolica pure,Pinus densiflora–Q.mongolica,P.densiflora,Betula ermanii, and Q.mongolica–P.koraiensis.The ecological information was organized by importance value and species diversity for each forest type.Based on the correlation between species diversity index and the abundance of Q.mongolica plus P.densiflora for corresponding forest cover types,we compared the developmental process and approximate successional pathway between each cover type. The P.densiflora forest cover type changes into the P.densiflora–Q.mongolica cover type, followed by the Q.mongolica dominant cover type through continuous invasion of the oak trees.Furthermore, the Q.mongolica pure cover type would spread toward the Q.mongolica dominant cover type with a mixture of various deciduous tree species. The Q.mongolica dominant cover type progresses through the other deciduous cover types to the mixed mesophytic cover type with diversified composition and structure. On the mid to lower slopes, with loamy soils and good moisture conditions, various deciduous forest types should progress,by ecological succession, toward the mixed mesophytic cover type without any further disturbance.
文摘A special mobile GIS(Geographic Information System) system used for forest resources second-class inventory was developed on the basis of traditional forest resources inventory, remote sensing,GPS(Globe Positioning System) and embedded technology.Portable instrument, embedded development and the integration technology of RS(Remote Sensing),GIS and GPS are all used in this special mobile GIS system.Further, the system composition, key techniques, and current situation of the practical application in China were analyzed in the study. The results are important for applying modern high-tech for the planning and design of digital forest resources to improve the precision and efficiency of inventory and reduce the labor cost and financial investment.

文摘In order to increase the productivity of grassland animal husbandry, reduce natural disasters, curb grassland degradation and solve some problems of animal husbandry development in Inner Mongolia,we should actively develop feed shrubs.Forage forests can supplement the shortage of feed caused by seasonal difference and natural disasters in natural grasslands in winter and spring, solve the difficulties in storage and transportation of feed and shortage of funds, regulate the climate, improve the soil fertility, proof wind and fix sand, thereby promoting the benign cycle of grassland ecology. In the natural grasslands of Inner Mongolia, shrubs or small arbors such as Caragana microphylla,Caragana korshinskii Kom,Hedysarum scoparium Fisch et May,Hedysarum mongolicum Turcz,Lespedeza bicolor Turcz,Hippophae rhamnoides Linn,Ulmaceae macrocarpa Hance and Kochia prostrata(L.)Schrad can be used to create forage forests.Scientific research should be actively carried out on the harvesting and cutting period, planting scale, feeding methods and breeding of improved varieties of forage forests.
文摘In recent years, China's social economy has continued to develop. While paying attention to the pursuit of the economy, people are paying more and more attention to the pursuit of quality of life. China has vast territory and abundant resources, forest resources are particularly rich, in order to make full use of forest resources and regulate the use and protection of forests, China has promoted the development of forestry by deepening the construction and reform of state-owned forest farms, and using forest resources to obtain benefits to meet people's living needs. This paper explores the necessity and advantages of building a forest town by analyzing the reform and development situation of state-owned forest farms.
文摘Amongst the impacts of converting forest to agricultural activities are soil erosion and degradation of ecology service values and goods (ESVG). However, this difference is only marginal when full attributes of ESVG are considered.
