Distributionally Robust Newsvendor Model for Fresh Products under Cap-and-Offset Regulation

The cap-and-offset regulation is a practical scheme to lessen carbon emissions.The retailer selling fresh products can adopt sustainable technologies to lessen greenhouse gas emissions.We aim to analyze the optimal joint strategies on order quantity and sustainable technology investment when the retailer faces stochastic market demand and can only acquire the mean and variance of distribution information.We construct a distributionally robust optimization model and use the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT)conditions to solve the analytic formula of optimal solutions.By comparing the models with and without investing in sustainable technologies,we examine the effect of sustainable technologies on the operational management decisions of the retailer.Finally,some computational examples are applied to analyze the impact of critical factors on operational strategies,and some managerial insights are given based on the analysis results.

Mixed Integer Robust Programming Model for Multimodal Fresh Agricultural Products Terminal Distribution Network Design

The low efficiency and high cost of fresh agricultural product terminal distribution directly restrict the operation of the entire supply network.To reduce costs and optimize the distribution network,we construct a mixed integer programmingmodel that comprehensively considers tominimize fixed,transportation,fresh-keeping,time,carbon emissions,and performance incentive costs.We analyzed the performance of traditional rider distribution and robot distribution modes in detail.In addition,the uncertainty of the actual market demand poses a huge threat to the stability of the terminal distribution network.In order to resist uncertain interference,we further extend the model to a robust counterpart form.The results of the simulation show that the instability of random parameters will lead to an increase in the cost.Compared with the traditional rider distribution mode,the robot distribution mode can save 12.7%on logistics costs,and the distribution efficiency is higher.Our research can provide support for the design of planning schemes for transportation enterprise managers.

Comparison of Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic Effects of Fresh and Dry Products of Zhuang Medicine Asystaia gangetica

[Objectives]To compare anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of fresh and dry products of Zhuang medicine Asystaia gangetica on mice.[Methods]Experiments were performed using glacial acetic acid to increase capillary permeability in mice,cotton ball to cause granulomatous formation in mice,xylene to cause auricular swelling in mice,chronic inflammation,and acetic acid-induced pain and hot-plate pain.Besides,the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of fresh and dry products of A.gangetica on mice were observed with the indicators of capillary permeability in the abdominal cavity,swelling rate of auricles,cotton ball granulomas and writhing times,and thermal pain threshold.[Results]Fresh products of A.gangetica had significant inhibitory effects on peritoneal capillary permeability increase in mice induced by glacial acetic acid,mouse auricle swelling induced by xylene,and mouse granuloma formation induced by cotton balls.Dry products of A.gangetica also significantly inhibited the auricle swelling in mice induced by xylene,but the effect intensity was weaker than that of fresh products.In addition,dry products of A.gangetica showed a certain tendency to inhibit the increase of capillary permeability in the abdominal cavity of mice induced by glacial acetic acid.In the analgesic experiment,both fresh and dry products of A.gangetica showed better analgesic effect,but caused pain on the hot plate,and the analgesic effect time of fresh products was shorter than that of dry products.[Conclusions]Both fresh and dry products of Zhuang medicine A.gangetica have certain anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

China's e-commerce market scale of fresh agricultural products has reached 1000 billion yuan,and the prospect is bright.However,in the face of such problems as quality control,storage and distribution,and consumption habits,the fresh product e-commerce has great difficulty in development.Internet generates large data,and data are the resources and the core of the Internet and the foundation for survival and development of Internet.This paper analyzed the current situation of the development of fresh agricultural products,and discussed the plight of fresh product e-commerce in scale,profit,non-standard,and network environment.On the basis of the whole industry supply chain,it came up with paths for upgrade and transformation of the fresh product e-commerce with the big data as the core in the context of Internet environment.

Application of Robust Strategies in Location Selection of Logistics Distribution Center for Fresh Agricultural Products

In view of the uncertainty in the location selection of logistics distribution center for the fresh agricultural products,the present study established a robust model based on the maximization of principal component score taking budget cost parameters as an example.In the process of model solving,the interval form of the uncertain set was used to clarify the constraint conditions,to transform into a certain 0-1 integer linear programming model,so as to solve with the aid of LINGO software.Finally,through studying the location selection of logistics distribution center for fresh agricultural products in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,it analyzed the application of the robust model and tested the validity of the model.

The supply chain finance(SCF)solutions are becoming increasingly diversified with the continuous perfection of the economic system.However,financing for small and medium sized enterprises(SMEs)is still a difficult issue waiting to be solved by enterprises and the government in China.SCF solutions based on e-commerce platforms have developed rapidly in China that provide an alternative for SMEs when few studies have been conducted on e-commerce SCF solutions which focus on fresh agricultural products.Therefore,this research focuses on the SCF solutions applicable to e-commerce enterprises of fresh agricultural products.

Fresh-Keeping Decision and Coordination of Fresh Agricultural Product Supply Chain Considering Carbon Cap-and-Trade under Different Dominance

In the context of low carbon,this paper discussed the impact of the carbon cap-and-trade policy on the fresh-keeping decision-making of two-echelon fresh agricultural product supply chains under different dominance,and designed cost-sharing contracts to coordinate the supply chain of fresh agricultural products dominated by suppliers and retailers respectively.The results showed that:dominance has no effect on the fresh-keeping decision and total revenue of fresh agricultural product supply chain,but it affects the internal income distribution,and dominance does not always bring more benefits;the implementation of carbon cap-and-trade reduces the fresh-keeping decision-making of fresh agricultural products supply chain and reduces the free-rider income of followers;the role of higher carbon trading price is twofold,which not only brings about the speculation of leading enterprises,but also promotes the application of low-carbon technologies;consumers’high preference for freshness,low-cost and high-efficiency low-carbon technology are all conducive to improving the fresh-keeping efforts and benefits of the supply chain;cost-sharing contracts can coordinate the supply chain of fresh agricultural products.

Problems in Storage of Dendrobium officinale and Study on Its Preservation Technology

Due to extensive harvesting,the ecological environment of Dendrobium officinale has been destroyed,and there are very few wild D.officinale today.As the tissue culture technology of D.officinale continues to mature,there are more and more imitation,wild cultivation,greenhouse cultivation and other large-scale production of D.officinale to meet the market demand,but the storage and preservation of fresh products is a big problem.The existing problems in storage of D.officinale and its preservation technology are discussed,so as to provide some reference for the storage and preservation of D.officinale fresh products.

Simulation-based optimization of control policy on multi-echelon inventory system for fresh agricultural products

As fresh agricultural products are perishable and vulnerable,reducing inventory cost is a strategic target for supply chain enterprises.How to design a reliable multi-echelon inventory control policy is still a great challenge.Therefore,the inventory cost of a three-level fresh agricultural products inventory system was firstly mathematically analyzed.Then,the simulation-based optimization model of the multi-echelon inventory system for fresh agricultural products was proposed by using the Flexsim simulation software and the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm.Finally,the multi-echelon inventory system is simulated based on a large number of survey data.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed simulation-based optimization model of multi-echelon inventory system for fresh agricultural products can provide decision-making and technical support for the formulation of inventory control policy,and also it shows that the modeling of system simulation is an effective method to solve the problem of complex system.

Analytical bi-level multi-local-world complex network model on fresh agricultural products supply chain

Lately,in some regions and seasons in China,urban consumers have paid high in buying fresh agricultural products while farmers get unreasonable income from producing them.To seek the reason for the phenomenon and explore ways to simulate it,this study constructed and implemented a complex network model named the Bi-Level Multi-Local-World(BI-MLW model)with characteristics of an interdependent coupling relationship between its participants.To verify the validity of the model,this study implemented an experimental simulation under Small Decentralized Operation Mode(SDOM)and Large Centralized Operation Mode(LCOM)scenarios using Cucurbita pepo and Cucumber in the Tianjin area of China as sample empirical products.Results indicate that nodes do not increase edges rapidly which reflects that even large firms in agricultural business cannot occupy markets fleetly.Furthermore,under the SDOM scenario the BI-MLW model exposes scale-free features with a small average degree value and low average clustering coefficient,while under the LCOM scenario,the model displays a rising average clustering coefficient and a lowered average path length.Both of which are consistent with the common view in literature and features of reality.Thus,the BI-MLW model specially designed for fresh agricultural products supply chain can improve the descriptive ability than conventional Erdös-Rényi(ER),Barabási-Albert(BA),Bianconi-Barabási(BB)network models.

Assessment of the Quality and Shelf-Life in Enriched n3 PUFA Raw Beef Patties Using Dry Soybean Sprouts as Antioxidant

The appearance of fresh meat is a major determinant of its appeal to consumers. Ground beef in retail display oxidizes at a faster rate than whole muscle products;the use of antioxidants to break the radical chain reaction in the oxidation process is an effective method for slowing oxidation. Soybean is a complex matrix with several bioactive compounds, including peptides and proteins, isoflavones, saponins, and other compounds with antioxidant properties. This study was conducted for 1) to evaluate the antioxidant properties of dry soybeans sprouts (DSS) from Glycine max (L.) Merr., MUNASQA?;2) to evaluate quality characteristics of raw beef patties added with dried soybean sprouts at different levels (0.5%, 1% and 2%) and soybean oil as a replacer of fat;and 3) to estimate color changes and lipid oxidation of n3 fortified raw beef under frozen storage. Results showed that dry soybean sprouts had a high level of superoxide dismutase enzyme, high total phenolics and flavonoids content and appreciable vitamin c content. Although reduction power was low, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2’-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-ulphonic acid) (ABTS) radicals scavenging activity were elevated. When different concentrations of DSS were incorporated to enriched beef patties with soybean oil, the nutritional value was slightly affected, while that n3 and n6 fatty acid content were increased around three twice. The beef patties formulated with 1% of natural antioxidant showed significantly (p < 0.05) better color stability than those without antioxidants. The lipid oxidation was inhibited in all cases, and was strongly effective at 1% concentration of DSS being the reduced percent of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) comparable to butilated hydroxianisole (BHA). The results shown in this research suggest that dry soybeans sprouts could also be used as a cheap natural antioxidant source for meat products.
