This paper investigates the management of innovation adopted by the European leader in sports equipment: Decathlon (Oxylane Group). In recent years, vertical integration push and innovation have secured the company's leadership and success in a number of sports markets throughout Europe. It now has 909 stores located globally. Oxylane Group designs, manufactures, and sells sports products for sports people worldwide. It offers fitness, dance, gymnastics, and combat sports products; bicycles, equipment, and accessories; team sports products; nautical and water sports products (surf sports, diving, sailing, and kayaking products); swimming products; mountain sports products (for hiking, mountain trailing, camping, skiing, and snow shoe hiking); skiing and snowboarding products (for snowboarders and skiers); and climbing and mountaineering products. The company is now a direct challenger for world sports leaders. Since the end of the 1990's, Decathlon different sports brands have not taken a unique and rational path to success. The company has built insights about its customers, identified and evaluated unique market opportunities, and prepared a bold game plan to seize them. By doing so, Decathlon has developed a stream of winning products. The process of new business creation generally splits into two parts: an upstream process (sensing and creating opportunities) and a downstream process (converting the selected opportunities into successful products). Most businesses have a formal process implemented to manage the downstream part. Few that people know of have set up an equivalent process like Oxylane and Decathlon to sense and create new opportunities in the sports equipment industry. The aim of the paper is to examine how the brand has developed two of its successful product: the tent two seconds and the wetsuit "Inergy". To address the problem that the static periodic test strategy may cause deficient test or excessive test, a dynamic sequential te...Testing is the premise and foundation of realizing equipment health management (EHM). To address the problem that the static periodic test strategy may cause deficient test or excessive test, a dynamic sequential test strategy (DSTS) for EHM is presented. Considering the situation that equipment health state is not completely observable in reality, a DSTS optimization method based on partially observable semi-Markov decision pro- cess (POSMDP) is proposed. Firstly, an equipment health state degradation model is constructed by Markov process, and the control limit maintenance policy is also introduced. Secondly, POSMDP is formulated in great detail. And then, POSMDP is converted to completely observable belief semi-Markov decision process (BSMDP) through belief state. The optimal equation and the corresponding optimal DSTS, which minimize the long-run ex- pected average cost per unit time, are obtained with BSMDP. The results of application in complex equipment show that the proposed DSTS is feasible and effective.展开更多
In order to solve information island problem of offshore oil and gas field production-related information system,including repetitive reporting and input of data,data isolation of central control system,inadequate fol...In order to solve information island problem of offshore oil and gas field production-related information system,including repetitive reporting and input of data,data isolation of central control system,inadequate follow-up analysis and development to support oil and gas field production management,and so on.Therefore,the introduction of MES(Manufacturing Execution System)production execution system in the manufacturing industry and downstream production of offshore oil has become an inevitable choice.This system utilizes the real-time database combined with relational database to collect the scattered structured data,such as the production process real-time data,production management documents and statistical tables of offshore oil and gas production facilities.It establishes a unified data center platform for each operation area and production site,so as to centralize the related production management data at production sites.This system realizes many functions,including the production management support like production report generation as well as presentation and POB,equipment management support like PM optimization,remote configuration and monitoring of production operation,status trend analysis,and production event prediction.The implementation of MES system in offshore oil and gas field production management perfects the overall information system of China National Offshore Oil Corporation more and gradually enhances its comprehensive benefits.展开更多
