To improve the vehicular power and acceleration performance and reduce the shift impact, the study of the characteristics on power shift is necessary. Based on the flexible hydraulic unit of hydro-mechanical transmission, this paper explores the feasibility of shift without power interruption. With the four models concerning displacement ratio, rotational speed, rotational torque and power at ideal shift point, the characteristics on power shift in different running conditions are analyzed, and the rules of power shift are revealed. The theoretical analysis and test results show that the hydro-mechanical transmission can shift without power interruption in different running conditions. Furthermore, there exists an ideal shift point in theory, at which point the cycle power in hydro-mechanical transmission can't be generated, and the impact on the system can be reduced to the minimum. However, if before or after this ideal shift point, a cycle power can be generated. 展开更多

To improve ground vehicle efficiency, shift schedule energy saving was proposed for the ground vehicle automatic transmission by studying the function of the torque converter and transmission in the vehicular drivetrain. The shift schedule can keep the torque converter working in the high efficiency range under all the working conditions except in the low efficiency range on the left when the transmission worked at the lowest shift, and in the low efficiency range on the right when the transmission worked at the highest shift. The shift quality key factors were analysed. The automatic trans-mission's bench-test adopting this shift schedule was made on the automatic transmission's test-bed. The experimental results showed that the shift schedule was correct and that the shift quality was controllable. 展开更多

For the purpose of engineering development for a new 8-step speed automatic transmission,a simplified dynamic model for this gearbox was established and key parameters which affected the shift quality were analyzed.Aiming at four different shift types,the ideal characteristics of shift clutch and engine control were set up.By using torque estimation method,PI slip control algorithm and engine coordinated control principle,the control model and transmission controller were well developed for three shift phases which included rapid-fill phase,torque phase and inertia phase.The testing environment on the rig and prototype vehicle level was built and the testing results obtained in ultimate condition could verify the accuracy and feasibility of this shift control strategy.The peak jerk during shift process was controlled within ±2 g/s where the smooth gearshift was obtained.The development proposal and algorithm have a high value for engineering application. 展开更多

In order to improve the shift quality, a linear quadratic optimal tracking control algorithm for automatic transmission shift process is proposed. The dynamic equations of the shift process are derived using a Lagrange method. And a powertrain model is built in the Matlab/Simulink and veri- fied by the measurements. Considering the shift jerk and friction loss during the shift process, the tracking trajectories of the turbine speed and output shaft speed are defined. Furthermore, the linear quadratic optimal tracking control performance index is proposed. Based on the Pontryagin' s mini- mum principle, the optimal control law of the shift process is presented. Finally, the simulation study of the 1 - 2 upshift process under different load conditions is carried out with the powertrain model. The simulation results demonstrate that the shift jerk and friction loss can be significantly re- duced by applying the proposed optimal tracking control method. 展开更多

A dynamic model of integrated hydrodynamic-mechanical transmission is built in MATLAB/Simdriveline environment, and an optimum shift schedule is derived by using iSight software to call the dynamic model above, then the shift schedule is achieved after optimization. The simulation results show that the method is significant to improve the dynamic performance and gear-shifting smoothness theoretically and practically. 展开更多

A new time-resolved shifted dual transmission grating spectrometer (SDTGS) is designed and fabricated in this work. This SDTGS uses a new shifted dual transmission grating (SDTG) as its dispersive component, which has two sub transmission gratings with different line densities, of 2000 lines/mm and 5000 lines/mm. The axes of the two sub transmission gratings in SDTG are horizontally and vertically shifted a certain distance to measure a broad range of 0.1-5 keV time-resolved X-ray spectra. The SDTG has been calibrated with a soft X-ray beam of the synchrotron radiation facility and its diffraction efficiency is also measured. The designed SDTGS can take full use of the space on a record panel and improve the precision for measuring spatial and temporal spectrum simultaneously. It will be a promising application for accurate diagnosis of the soft X-ray spectrum in inertial confinement fusion. 展开更多

There are components with multi-fault modes in repairable systems. It is a problem to use the existing GO method to make reliability analysis of such repairable systems. A new GO method for reliability analysis of such repairable systems with multifault modes was presented. Firstly, calculation equations of reliability parameters of operators which were used to describe components with multi-fault modes in reparable systems were derived based on Markov process theory. Then, this new GO method was applied in reliability analysis of a hydraulic transmission oil supply system( HTOSS) of a power-shift steering transmission at low and high speeds. Finally,Compared with fault tree analysis( FTA) and Monte Carlo simulation,the results show that this new GO method is correct and suitable for reliability analysis of repairable system with multi-fault modes. 展开更多

Recent digital applications will require highly efficient and high-speed gadgets and it is related to the minimum delay and power consumption.The proposed work deals with a low-power clock pulsed data flip-flop(D flip-flop)using a transmission gate.To accomplish a power-efficient pulsed D flip-flop,clock gating is proposed.The gated clock reduces the unnecessary switching of the transistors in the circuit and thus reduces the dynamic power consumption.The clock gating approach is employed by using an AND gate to disrupt the clock input to the circuit as per the control signal called Enable.Due to this process,the clock gets turned off to reduce power consumption when there is no change in the output.The proposed transmission gate-based pulsed D flip-flop’s performance with clock gating and without clock gating circuit is analyzed.The proposed pulsed D flip-flop power consumption is 1.586μw less than the without clock gated flip-flop.Also,the authors have designed a 3-bit serial-in and parallel-out shift register using the proposed D flip-flop and analyzed the performance.Tanner Electronic Design Automation tool is used to simulate all the circuits with 45 nm technology. 展开更多

A method of multiple outputs least squares support vector regression (LS-SVR) was developed and described in detail, with the radial basis function (RBF) as the kernel function. The method was applied to predict the future state of the power-shift steering transmission (PSST). A prediction model of PSST was gotten with multiple outputs LS-SVR. The model performance was greatly influenced by the penalty parameter γ and kernel parameter σ2 which were optimized using cross validation method. The training and prediction of the model were done with spectrometric oil analysis data. The predictive and actual values were compared and a fault in the second PSST was found. The research proved that this method had good accuracy in PSST fault prediction, and any possible problem in PSST could be found through a comparative analysis. 展开更多

A kinetics model for the process of synchroniser engagement is built and analyzed in the paper. Thus for optimizing the gear shift process which is divided into three phases a model reference fuzzy self-adaption system is adopted. A numerical model and transmission characteristic analysis of DPSK (differential phase shift keying) pressure signals in mud channels is introduced. With the control logic analysis of the rotary valve mud telemetry, a logical control signal is built from a Gate function sequence according to the binary symbols of transmitted data and a phase-shift function is obtained by integrating the logical control signal. A mathematical model of the DPSK pressure signal is built based on principles of communications by modulating carrier phase with the phase-shift function and a numerical simulation of the pressure wave is implemented with the mathematical model by MATLAB programming. Considering drillpipe pressure and drilling fluid temperature profile along drillpipes, the drillpipe of a vertical well is divided into a number of sections. With water-based drilling fluids, the impacts of travel distance, carrier frequency, drillpipe size, and drilling fluids on the signal transmission were studied by signal transmission characteristic analysis for all the sections. Numerical calculation results indicate that the influences of the viscosity of drilling fluids and volume fraction of gas in drilling fluids on the DPSK signal transmission are more notable than the others and the signal will distort in waveform with differential attenuations of the signal frequent component. 展开更多

With a transmission system suitable for a medium or large self-propelled cotton picker as the object of the study,the following work focuses on the influence law of an independently designed hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission(HMCVT)in the process of changing sections.An HMCVT simulation model was established using the multibody dynamics Simulation X software.The accuracy of the simulation model was verified by comparing the numerical values of the output speed of the HMCVT with model predictions.The HMCVT test bench was built independently using a John Deere 4045HYC11 diesel engine as power input.The engine speed,load torque,oil pressure,and flow of speed regulating valve were considered the influencing factors.The sliding friction power was the response index for the segment change process test.We analysed the reasons for the decrease in output speed during the shifting process,and proposed to effectively reduce the stable speed difference before and after the output shaft shifting by shifting the stage ahead(with displacement ratio of-0.96).This study provides a reference value for the smoothness of the HMCVT of the self-propelled cotton picker,and is relevant in promoting the use of the cotton picker. 展开更多

It is shown to agree with experimental measurements reasonably well. The synchronizer is a key component of automatic mechanical transmission(AMT)equipped in electric vehicles,but the inertial lock-ring synchronizer(ILRS)commonly used there is not suitable especially for pure electric vehicles without a clutch because of big shift impact.To make the shifting process rapid and smooth,a new synchronizer named pressure-controllable friction ring synchronizer(PCFRS)was designed.Initially,the inevitable shortcoming of ILRS was verified by simulation and test.Furthermore,the mechanical characteristics and advantages of the new synchronizer over ILRS were analyzed.Then,the formulations describing the dynamic transmission based on the working mechanism of the PCFRS were established.Finally,the shifting simulation results with PCFRS and ILRS based on the same operating conditions were compared and analyzed.The research shows that the PCFRS can meet the main shifting evaluation index of an AMT without complex control methods,as well as it takes only 0.2406 s to finish the comfortable and zero-speed-difference shifting.The shifting quality of PCFRS is better than that of the ILRS.It lays a foundation for using the new synchronizer as a part of clutchless AMTs equipped in pure electric vehicles. 展开更多

以一种用于220 kW拖拉机全动力换挡变速箱为研究对象,基于经济性、动力性为控制核心制定了道路运输和田间作业(犁耕)模式的标准型自动换挡策略,在全动力换挡变速箱基础上实现全自动换挡。为进一步提升不同工况下自动换挡策略的工况适应... 以一种用于220 kW拖拉机全动力换挡变速箱为研究对象,基于经济性、动力性为控制核心制定了道路运输和田间作业(犁耕)模式的标准型自动换挡策略,在全动力换挡变速箱基础上实现全自动换挡。为进一步提升不同工况下自动换挡策略的工况适应性,制定了智能型自动换挡策略,在道路运输自动换挡策略中,以燃油消耗总量为优化目标,换挡点车速和换挡延迟时间作为设计变量,对控制策略进行优化;在犁耕作业自动换挡策略中,引入滑转率变化量和车速变化量2个修正参数,通过模糊控制规则实时修正换挡点车速。基于AMESim和Matlab/Simulink建立了拖拉机仿真模型,开展自动换挡策略仿真。仿真结果表明,相较于标准型自动换挡策略,道路运输工况下,拖拉机燃油消耗总量下降6.71%;犁耕作业工况下,换挡次数降低36.5%,燃油消耗总量下降2.85%。通过台架试验验证了道路运输模式自动换挡略的有效性。 展开更多
