Objective:To observe the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing combined with routine rehabilitation training on post-stroke shoulder and hand syndrome(SHS).Comparing and analysing the ...Objective:To observe the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing combined with routine rehabilitation training on post-stroke shoulder and hand syndrome(SHS).Comparing and analysing the effects of this treatment on the living ability of patients with post-stroke shoulder and hand syndrome.Methods:Fifty patients with post-stroke SHS who met the inclusion criteria were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method with 25 cases in each group.Both groups were given post-stroke secondary prophylactic drugs,while the control group was given routine rehabilitation training,20-30 minutes at a time,once a day,5 days a week,4 weeks as a course of treatment.On the basis of treatment in the control group,the observation group was combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing,decocted with water to extract 3,000-4,000 ml juice,and added into the medicine bath bucket to soak the affected limb for 30-40 minutes,once a day,5 days a week,4 weeks as a course of treatment.The changes of upper limb edema degree,Numeric Rating Scale(NRS)score,Barthel index(MBI)and Fugl-Meyer Rating(FMA)scores before and after treatment were observed between the two groups,and the differences of clinical efficacy between the two groups were compared.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate in observation group was significantly better than that in control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the degree in upper limb edema in the two groups was significantly reduced(P<0.05),NRS score was decreased(P<0.05).Barthel index and FMA score were significantly increased(P<0.05),and the degree of upper limb edema and NRS score in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Barthel index and FMA score were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of traditional Chinese medicine fuming and washing with rehabilitation training has a better therapeutic effect on SHS,and the clinical efficacy of the former is more significant than that of single rehabilitation training.In clinical application,the former shows low cost,simple and easy operation,high acceptance by patients,and is conducive to promotion and use.展开更多

The methodological qualities of included trials were evaluated by theCochrane risk of bias assessment tool. The meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5.3 software.Results： Overall, thirteen trials with a total of 1998 participants were included. The results of meta-analysis indicatedthat TCM washing combined with massage group was significantly superior to the control group in the first meconiumtime （MD, -16.67; 95% CI, -24.59 to -8.74; P〈0.001）, time for transformation of meconium （MD, -15.44; 95% CI,-23.59 to -7.28; P〈0.001）, transcutaneous bilirubin index changes [after treating three days （MD, -1.99; 95% CI, -2.57 to-1.40; P〈0.001）, after treating four days （MD, -1.86; 95% CI, -2.77 to -0.95; P〈0.001）, after treating five days （MD,-2.44; 95% CI, -3.47 to -1.42; P〈0.001）, after treating six days （MD, -2.23; 95% CI, -3.30 to -1.16; P〈0.001）, and thechanges of serum bilirubin levels [after treating five days （MD, -3.17; 95% CI, -5.83 to -0.50; P=0.02）, after treating sixdays （MD, -1.63; 95% CI, -3.10 to -0.16; P=0.03）, after treating fifteen days （MD,-1.20; 95% CI, -1.99 to -0.41; P=0.003）.Conclusions： TCM washing combined with massage may be an effective therapy for the treatment of neonatal jaundice.It can accelerate the excretion of meconium, shorten the time for transformation of meconium, and decreasetranscutaneous bilirubin index and the level of serum bilirubin. Background:Rheumatoid arthritis(RA),a chronic autoimmune disease,has a high incidence and disability rate,causing patients significant discomfort.Although several medicines can be effective,they are also associated wi...Background:Rheumatoid arthritis(RA),a chronic autoimmune disease,has a high incidence and disability rate,causing patients significant discomfort.Although several medicines can be effective,they are also associated with significant adverse effects.In contrast,fumigation as one of the most often used traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)external therapy has shown both efficacy and safety with less side effect.In light of this,we comple-ment western medicine treatment with TCM fumigation therapy to improve patients’clinical efficacy,alleviate symptoms,and improve prognosis.Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of TCM fumigation and modern medicine combined therapy in treating RA patients with cold-dampness Bi syndrome.Methods:A single-center,randomized,controlled study was designed.From January 2022 to December 2022,a total of 60 RA patients with cold-dampness Bi syndrome were enrolled in the study.The control group(30 cases)received conventional modern medicine treatment with methotrexate for 4 weeks,while the observation group(30 cases)for 4 weeks received a combination of TCM fumigation treatment and conventional modern medicine.The effects of the two groups were comprehensively compared,including the changes in TCM symptom scores and laboratory indicators,as well as the use of visual analogue scale(VAS)and health status rating scale(HAQ)before and after treatment.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.3%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group,which is 70%(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in joint functional activity,pain visual analogue scale(VAS),health assessment questionnaire(HAQ-DI)and laboratory indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,each group compared to their initial condition,respectively,showed major improvement of joint functional activity and significantly decreased VAS,HAQ-DI,and RA-related biomarkers(P<0.05);inter-group comparison of these indicators showed significanty further enhanced effect of TCM fumigation combined therapy on the RA-related biomarkers and joint functional activity of patients(P<0.05),yet the control group receiving only modern medicine showed better results of the VAS and HAQ-DI.Conclusion:The TCM fumigation combined therapy is effective to treat RA patients with cold-dampness Bi syn-drome,and to enhance their life quality,improving the joint function,and reducing inflammation.展开更多
