In practical machining process, the timely elevation of the tool electrode is needed to eliminate chipping, which ordinarily occupies quite a lot of time. Therefore, besides the control of the machining parameters, the control of the optimum discharge gap and the conversion of different machining states is also needed. In this paper, the adaptive fuzzy control system of servomechanism for EDM combined with ultrasonic vibration is studied, the servomechanism of which is composed of the stepping motor comprising variable steps and the inductive synchronizer. The fuzzy control technology is used to realize the control of the frequency and the step of the servomechanism. The adaptive fuzzy controller has three inputs and two outputs, which can well meet the actual control requirements. The constitution of the fuzzy control regulation for the step frequency is the key to the design of the whole fuzzy control system of the servomechanism. The step frequency is mainly determined by the position error and the change rate of the position error. When the value of the position error is high or medium, the controlled parameters are selected to eliminate the error; when the position error is lower, the controlled parameters are selected to avoid the over-orientation and thus keep the stability of the system. According to these, a fuzzy control table is established in advanced, which is used to express the relations between the fuzzy input parameters and the fuzzy output parameters. The input parameters and the output parameters are all expressed by the level-values in fuzzy field. Therefore, the output parameters used for control can be obtained for the fuzzy control table according to the detected actual input parameters, by which the EDM combined with ultrasonic vibration is improved and the machining efficiency is increased. In addition, a stimulation program is designed by means of Microsoft Visual Basic展开更多

Studies on traffic measurement of TCP networks have shown that the packet traffic exhibits long range dependent properties called self-similarity, which degrades the network performance greatly. The probabilistic fuzzy control (PFC) system is used to handle the complex stochastic features of self-similar traffic and the modeling uncertainties in the network system. A three-dimensional (3-D) membership function (MF) is embedded in the PFC to express and describe the stochastic feature of network traffic. The 3-D MF has extended the traditional fuzzy planar mapping and further provides a spatial mapping among "fuzziness-randomness-state". The additional stochastic expression of 3-D MF provides the PFC an additional freedom to handle the stochastic features of self-similar traffic. Simulation experiments show that the proposed control method achieves superior performance compared to traditional control schemes in a stochastic environment.展开更多

One common approach is known as Field-Oriented Control (FOC). This technique involves transforming the three-phase currents and voltages into a rotating reference frame, commonly referred to as the “dq” frame. In this frame, the torque/speed and flux components are decoupled, allowing for independent control, by doing so, the motor’s speed can be regulated accurately and maintain a constant flux which is crucial to ensure optimal motor performance and efficiency. The research focused on studying and simulating a field-oriented control system using fuzzy control techniques for an induction motor. The aim was to address the issue of parameter variations, particularly the change in rotor resistance during motor operation, which causes the control system to deviate from the desired direction. This deviation implies to an increase in the magnetic flux value, specifically the flux component on the q-axis. By employing fuzzy logic techniques to regulate flux vector’s components in the dq frame, this problem was successfully resolved, ensuring that the magnetic flux value remains within the nominal limits. To enhance the control system’s performance, response speed, and efficiency of the motor, sliding mode controllers were implemented to regulate the current in the inner loop. The simulation results demonstrated the proficiency of the proposed methodology.展开更多

A smooth function is utilized with the mean-value theorem to deal with the difficulties associated with input saturation. An adaptive DSC design with an auxiliary first-order filter is used to solve the "explosion of complexity"problem. It is proved that all the signals in the closed-loop system are semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded, and the tracking error eventually converges to a small neighborhood around zero. This paper proposes a new adaptive controller to control the vehicle height and to adjust the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body(leveling control) during the vehicle height adjustment procedures by an EAS system. A nonlinear mechanism model of the full?car vehicle height adjustment system is established to reflect the system dynamic behaviors and to derive the system optimal control law. To deal with the nonlinear characters in the vehicle height and leveling adjustment processes, the nonlinear system model is globally linearized through the state feedback method. On this basis, a fuzzy sliding mode controller(FSMC) is designed to improve the control accuracy of the vehicle height adjustment and to reduce the peak values of the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method more accurately, the full?car EAS system model programmed using AMESim is also given. Then, the co?simulation study of the FSMC performance can be conducted. Finally, actual vehicle tests are performed with a city bus, and the test results illustrate that the vehicle height adjustment performance is effectively guaranteed by the FSMC, and the peak values of the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body during the vehicle height adjustment procedures are also reduced significantly. This research proposes an effective control methodology for the vehicle height and leveling adjustment system of an EAS, which provides a favorable control performance for the system.展开更多

This paper investigates the use of the robust fuzzy control method for actively reducing pressure ripples for EPS systems. Remarkable progress on steering maneuverability is achieved. The EPS dynamics is described with an eight-order nonlinear state-space model and approximated by a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model with time-varying delays and external disturbances. A stabilization approach is then presented for nonlinear time-delay systems through fuzzy state feedback controller in parallel distributed compensation (PDC) structure. The closed-loop stability conditions of EPS system with the fuzzy controller are parameterized in terms of the linear matrix inequality (LMI) problem. Simulations and experiments using the proposed robust fuzzy controller and traditional PID controller have been carried out for EPS systems. Both the simulation and experiment results show that the proposed fuzzy controller can reduce the torque ripples and allow us to have a good steering feeling and stable driving.展开更多

First, the AUVMS is separated into nine subsystems, and the combined effects of dynamic uncertainties, hydrodynamic force, unknown disturbances, and nonlinear coupling terms on each subsystem are lumped into a single total disturbance. Next, a linear extended state observer(LESO) is presented to estimate the total disturbance. Then, a sliding mode active disturbance rejection control(SMADRC) scheme is proposed to enhance the robustness of the control system. The stability of the SMADRC and the estimation errors of the LESO are analyzed. Because it is difficult to simultaneously adjust several parameters for a LESO-based SMADRC scheme, a fuzzy logic control(FLC) scheme is used to formulate the FSMADRC to determine the appropriate parameters adaptively for practical applications. Finally, two AUVMS tasks are illustrated to test the trajectory tracking performance of the closed-loop system and its ability to reject and attenuate the total disturbance. The simulation results show that the proposed FSMADRC scheme achieves better performance and consume less energy than conventional PID and FLC techniques.展开更多

This research proposes an effective control methodology for the vehicle height and leveling adjustment system of an EAS, which provides a favorable control performance for the system.

文摘In this paper, the robust adaptive fuzzy tracking control problem is discussed for a class of perturbed strict-feedback nonlinear systems. The fuzzy logic systems in Mamdani type are used to approximate unknown nonlinear functions. A design scheme of the robust adaptive fuzzy controller is proposed by use of the backstepping technique. The proposed controller guarantees semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness of all the signals in the derived closed-loop system and achieves the good tracking performance. The possible controller singularity problem which may occur in some existing adaptive control schemes with feedback linearization techniques can be avoided. In addition, the number of the on-line adaptive parameters is not more than the order of the designed system. Finally, two simulation examples are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

文摘Pressure ripples in electric power steering (EPS) systems can be caused by the phase lag between the driver s steering torque and steer angle, the nonlinear frictions, and the disturbances from road and sensor noise especially during high-frequency maneuvers. Both the simulation and experiment results show that the proposed fuzzy controller can reduce the torque ripples and allow us to have a good steering feeling and stable driving.

文摘A new design scheme of direct adaptive fuzzy controller for a class of perturbed pure-feedback nonlinear systems is proposed. The design is based on backstepping and the approximation capability of the first type fuzzy systems. A continuous robust term is adopted to minify the influence of modeling errors or disturbances. By introducing the modified integral-type Lyapunov function, the approach is able to avoid the requirement of the upper bound of the first time derivation of the high frequency control gain. Through theoretical analysis, the closed-loop control system is proven to be semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded, with tracking error converging to a residual set.
文摘The problem of designing fuzzy static output feedback controller for T-S discrete-time fuzzy bilinear system (DFBS) is presented. Based on parallel distribution compensation method, some sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the stability of the overall fuzzy system. The stabilization conditions are further formulated into linear matrix inequality (LMI) so that the desired controller can be easily obtained by using the Matlab LMI toolbox. In comparison with the existing results, the drawbacks, such as coordinate transformation, same output matrices, have been elim- inated. Finally, a simulation example shows that the approach is effective.

文摘In this paper, a fuzzy sliding mode active disturbance rejection control(FSMADRC) scheme is proposed for an autonomous underwater vehicle-manipulator system(AUVMS) with a two-link and three-joint manipulator. The simulation results show that the proposed FSMADRC scheme achieves better performance and consume less energy than conventional PID and FLC techniques.
