Secon...With the development of Internet technologies, Internet Based Information System (IBIS) arises with more advantages: Firstly, it is convenient for users to use owing to the introduction of Internet technologies. Secondly, it benefits greatly the data dissemination and data sharing based on Internet. The most important but not the last is that we can establish the information service network supported by its technologies and the facilities of information highway. So, it would be significant to design IBIS to realize the data collection, sharing and dissemination on Internet. There are many factors affecting regional environment. So it is not easy to realize the integrated environmental monitoring. Given this, we designed the Internet based environmental monitoring information system. By the virtue of the Internet based environmental monitoring information system, the management and storage of environmental monitoring data would be easier, which lays the foundation to actualize the environmental monitoring efficiently.展开更多
The biomass and distribution of black clam (Villorita cyprinoides) in Vembanad, a tropical estuary located along the southwest coast of India varied significantly. Sampling was done in freshwater-dominated zone in the...The biomass and distribution of black clam (Villorita cyprinoides) in Vembanad, a tropical estuary located along the southwest coast of India varied significantly. Sampling was done in freshwater-dominated zone in the south (distal) and brackish water zone in the north (proximal), during pre and post monsoon seasons. Clam biomass was estimated from samples, collected from different stations during the study period. Water transparency and temperature were measured at the sample sites. Water samples were collected and analysed for salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH and hardness. There was a significant difference in the clam biomass during the two seasons in the distal zone, and those collected from the distal and proximal zones during pre-monsoon season. The data were further analysed to determine the factors affecting the clam biomass distribution in the two zones and seasons. Factor analyses, comparing the distal zone during two seasons and zonal variations were similar to earlier observations. Step wise regression analyses found that dissolved oxygen (adjusted R2 = 0.3) is the only variable affecting clam survival during pre-monsoon period in the distal and proximal zones. A geographic map of the region obtained from the Indian satellite sensor LISS (Linear Image Self Scanner) was used along with in situ data to map the results using inverse distance weightage model.展开更多
This work develops a distributed environmental monitoring system for the combination of hydroponics and aquaculture based on the internet of things technology,which mainly includes the information perception layer,the...This work develops a distributed environmental monitoring system for the combination of hydroponics and aquaculture based on the internet of things technology,which mainly includes the information perception layer,the information transmission layer and the sys-tem architecture.The system has employed multiple sensors terminal to real-time acqui-sition,including air and water temperatures,dissolved oxygen etc.LoRa protocol is suitable for sending small data and the 4G was employed to collect data and send to the cloud plat-form.Java is used to develop background applications,to access cloud platforms and local data processing.Based on the collection and processing of environmental data and cloud service platform,the mobile application program client and remote login desktop have been developed.It has been implemented and tested in Tongzhou,Beijing for 3 months in 2020.The results showed the proposed monitoring system stability for overall operation and accuracy data transmission,which can support the actual hydroponics and aquacul-ture production management.After analysis of monitoring data collected from the devel-oped monitoring system,indoor air and water temperature have the obvious correlation with atmospheric pressure(0.7 and 0.9)and outdoor temperature(1.0 and 0.9),respectively.展开更多
