Research on Ventilation and Heat Insulation Layer Design of Split-Type Roof Greening Based on Topological Interlocking Principle

In this paper,the roof ventilation and heat insulation layer modules are combined with the roof greening,and each module is assembled through the principle of topological interlocking.The assembly of these modules does not require any rivets or cement mortar,and the structural stability of the overall assembled roof is achieved only through the interlocking and limiting the movements of the interlocked units.The green roof designed in this paper has strong applicability and can be applied to roofs of different shapes.Such a roof can not only meet the aesthetic needs,but also beautify the urban environment and reduce carbon emissions.

Influence of Urban Street Greening Design under the Concept of Green Healthy Cities:A Case Study of Hefei City

In order to explore the influence of urban street greening,the street landscape of Changjiang West Road and Xiyou Road in Hefei City was selected as the research sample to study the design of urban street landscape under the concept of green healthy cities.The results show that the urban street landscape of Hefei City is single in design and plant type,and plant maintenance management is not good.It is proposed to strengthen the maintenance and management of street greening,increase the types of native plants,and improve cultural connotation,so as to enhance the artistry,regionalism and functionality of urban street landscape in Hefei City.

Greening the Supply Chain: Drivers and Outcomes in the Korean Manufacturing Industry

This research investigates the determinants of green supply chain management(GSCM)adoption and its impact on organizational performance,while considering the potential moderating factors influencing GSCM adoption.Despite the growing prevalence of GSCM practices among Korean firms,the factors driving their adoption have not received sufficient attention.To bridge this gap,the study uses structural equation modeling,integrating stakeholder theory and resource-based theory to explore how green entrepreneurial orientation(GEO),institutional pressure,and relational capital affect GSCM adoption.Additionally,the study explores the effects of GSCM implementation on competi­tiveness and economic performance.Drawing data from a sample of 213 Korean manufacturing firms,the PLS-SEM analysis highlights the significant influence of GEO,institutional pressure,and relational capital on GSCM adoption.Additionally,the study emphasizes the positive impact of GSCM implementation on firm competitiveness.These find­ings provide valuable insights for enhancing sustainability in supply chain management and are applicable to similar context countries such as Taiwan,China,Japan,and the Netherlands.

Problems of Shoal Wetland and Riverfront Greening in China and Solutions:A Case Study of Zhejiang Province

Shoal wetland and riverfront greening are important contents of "afforestation for flood control",in addition to increasing shoal wetland biodiversity and waterscapes,they can also restore and improve coastal ecological environment,and broaden the green area on the plain effectively. Through analyzing problems of shoal wetland and riverfront greening in Zhejiang Province,this paper took successful cases for example to propose the ideas for implementing plain greening effectively,such as "afforestation for flood control","landscaping construction is an ecological infrastructure project","plan wetland greening according to actual conditions","promote wetland greening by enhancing the cooperation among relevant departments","adopt multiple measures to enhance riverfront greening".

Application of Vertical Greening as a New Model of Expanding Urban Green Spaces

Vertical greening is a new pattern of expanding urban green spaces. Based on the concept of vertical greening, several approaches and available patterns were introduced for the vertical greening of urban spaces. Moreover, the mostly-applied vertical greening plants in China and their value were given to provide a new thought for urban greening.

Status Quo and Development Prospects of Vertical Greening in Urban Districts of Chongqing City

On the basis of investigating vertical greening in urban districts of Chongqing City, major problems were analyzed, dominant greening patterns were summarized, and major plant species suitable for the vertical greening of urban districts in Chongqing City were given. On this basis, key technologies and development prospects of the vertical greening were explored.

Complex causes and consequences of rangeland greening in South America -multiple interacting natural and anthropogenic drivers and simultaneous ecosystem degradation and recovery trends

Land-surface greening has been reported globally over the past decades.While often seen to represent ecosystem recovery,the impacts on biodiversity and society can also be negative.Greening has been widely reported from rangelands,where drivers and processes are complex due to its high environmental heterogeneity and societal dynamics.Here,we assess the complexity behind greening and assess its links to various drivers in an iconic,heterogeneous rangeland area,the IberáWetlands and surroundings,in Argentina.Time-series satellite imagery over the past 19 years showed overall net greening,but also substantial local browning both in protected and unprotected areas,linking to land use,temporal changes in surface water,fire,and weather.We found substantial woody expansion mainly in the unprotected land,with 37%contributed by tree plantations and the remaining 63%by spontaneous woody expansion,along with widespread transitions from terrestrial land to seasonal surface water.Fire occurrences tended to reduce greening with unprotected areas experiencing widespread and frequent fire.However,protected areas had more browning in unburnt areas than burned areas.Temporal variation in annual precipitation and temperature tended to nonlinearly influence fire occurrences with an interplay of human fire management,further shaping the vegetation greening,pointing to high complexity behind the observed rangeland greening involving interactions among local drivers.Our findings highlight that the observed overall greening is an outcome of multiple trends with clear negative impacts on biodiversity and the local livestock-oriented culture(notably expanding tree plantations)and spontaneous vegetation dynamics,partly involving spontaneous woody expansion.The latter has positive potential for biodiversity and ecosystem services in terms of woodland recovery,but can become negative in such a natural savanna region if expansions develop on a too broad scale,highlighting the importance of ensuring recovery of natural fire and herbivory regimes in protected areas along with sustainable rangeland management elsewhere.

Construction of Green Ecological Corridor and Vertical Greening of Building Facades in Zhengzhou City

Development of a city depends largely on its transportation, and road construction reveals development skeletons of the city. With the aggravation of city pollution, construction of ecological corridor has been put on the agenda of urban ecological construction, against this background, "2 rings and 17 radial lines" of Zhengzhou City were planned. This paper analyzed the plan from the perspectives of role of urban green corridor, planning principle, characteristic building and greening of building facade, and exploration of green corridors integrating pathways, bikeways, bus harbors and green island gas station.

Project of “Three Networks Greening” based on optimal allocation in the Yellow River Delta,China (Dongying section)

We have used the Yellow River Delta （Dongying section） as our study area to address the project of ＂Three Networks Greening＂ （TNG）. With the use of GIS technology and from an ecological point of view, an optimal allocation scheme of land resources is constructed and applied to guide the adjustment of land resources. Given this scheme, we have calculated that the area of land suitable for forest and shrubs without greening is 2256 km^2. Simultaneously, acting on the layout of the TNG project, afforestation site types are prepared and improved. Soil types, microrelief, salinity and underwater levels are combined as major classification factors and irrigation conditions as a reference to classify sites into eight types. In this way, land suitable for forest and grass is afforested given particular planting patterns. Finally, by overlaying this forestry site type map with the TNG plan map, some suggestions and strategies are proposed and used to direct the TNG project. An ecological oasis of the Yellow River Delta should be the result.

Taking the control detailed planning of Suning Agricultural Sci-Tech Ecological Demonstration Park in Hebei Province for example,general methods for the planning of modern agricultural sci-tech parks were introduced from the perspective of general situation of the planning area,technical routes,guiding concepts and planning principles,ecological greening and plant confi guration of the parks was discussed.

Measurement of Cooling Effect of Building Environment Greening

A series of measurements showed that community greening and trees shading had different degree of cooling effect. The cooling effect of wall greening was related to factors such as heat storage capacity and the orientation of the wall, climatic conditions. As compared to the heat reduced by sheltering the solar radiation, the heat absorbed by plant transpiration had greater cooling contribution. Comprehensive considering environment, technology and economics factors, the building district greening should take trees as the priority. The trees shading can significantly drop indoor temperature and temperature fluctuation, also created better condition for night-time natural ventilation.

Developmental Application of Roof Greening against the Background of “Sponge City”: A Case Study of Ningbo City

In view of the problems of architectural eco-civilization in Ningbo City against the background of "sponge city", this paper proposed that development of roof greening in the city met the development concepts of sponge city, summarized six basic countermeasures and four cooperation mechanisms for the developmental application of roof greening in Ningbo City by analyzing practical experience of roof greening construction in foreign countries.

Greening the building envelope,facade greening and living wall systems

For greening the building envelope several concepts can be used, for example green roofs, fa?ades greened with climbing plants or living wall systems (modular pre-vegetated panels), etc. Greening the building envelope allows to obtain a relevant improvement of the its effi- ciency, ecological and environmental benefits as well as an increase of the biodiversity. Since the interest restoring the environmental integ- rity of urban areas continues to increase, new developments in construction practices with beneficial environmental characteristics take place, as vertical greening systems. Applying green fa?ades is not a new concept and can offer multiple benefits as a component of cur- rent urban design;considering the relation be- tween the environmental benefits, energy sav- ing for the building and the vertical greening systems (material used, maintenance, nutrients and water needed) the integration of vegetation could be a sustainable approach for the enve- lope of new and existing buildings.

Landscape Greening of Subway Stations Close to Commercial Districts in Beijing

Due to the rapid urban construction, commercial districts in Beijing are constructed near subway stations. Good landscape greening plays a crucial role in improving the environmental quality of the area around subway stations. At present, there are few studies on the landscape greening around subway stations adjacent to commercial districts. In this paper, field research on landscapes in the commercial district around seven typical subway stations was conducted to monitor real-time noise and crowd activities and analyze the utilization status of street parks, in order to provide a reference for the construction and renovation of the landscape greening around subway stations near commercial districts.

IMPROVING THE EFFECT OF GREENING ON HEAT ISLAND IN URBAN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS BASED ON REMOTE SENSING AND GIS ANALYSIS

Analyzing the thermal distribution on plane conditions objectively is difficult due to lack of enough meteorological observation stations within urban residential areas. In this paper satellite observations synchronous or quasi-synchronous with ground observations are adopted, and a teleconnection model is built between the satellite spectral and surface temperature for quantitative retrieval of temperature. Furthermore, by combining the satellite data with other multiple factors, a GIS comprehensive analysis model and a functional evaluation method for urban residential districts are established, which are used to study the relation between the air temperature and media characteristics on ground as well as the greening cooling effect in recent years in Shanghai. The results show that the air temperature in greened urban residential districts is generally lower than the average temperature and much less than the highest one. In general,the average air temperature in the greened area is at most 1.19℃ lower than the maximum temperature in the districts,which is 0.67℃ and 0.55℃ lower than that of the highest for buildings and roads respectively. The temperature is inversely proportional with greening fraction but is directly proportional with the ratio of roads and buildings. The higher the greening fraction in internal residential districts, the lower the temperature, and the higher the ratio of road and building is, the higher the temperature.

SWOT Analysis of Urban Greening Maintenance and Management in the Central Pearl River Delta

We take Shunde District,Foshan City in Guangdong Province for example,to carry out SWOT analysis of urban greening maintenance and management.The strengths of greening management and maintenance in Shunde District are as follows:(i)The greening area and quality are continuously improved in the downtown of Shunde District;(ii)The management and maintenance work is carried out well;(iii)The management and maintenance level tends to be increasingly perfected.The weaknesses of greening management and maintenance are as follows:(i)The fees for greening management and maintenance are very low;(ii)There is corner as yet untouched in the junction of some town streets;(iii)The greening management and maintenance technicians are unprofessional;(iv)The greening management is not in place;(v)There is management vacancy phenomenon in the management and maintenance of regional green space;(vi)The design and construction phase is flawed.Finally,based on the analysis of strengths and weaknesses of greening,we put forth the recommendations for the development of management and maintenance in urban green space.

Evaluation of Ecological Effect of Roof Greening

To evaluate ecological effect of roof greening, AHP and Delphi Technique were adopted to collect qualitative data of roof greening, RS and GIS to collect quantitative data. These techniques greatly promote the rate and precision of data collection and processing, and lay a foundation for quantitative analysis of roof greening analysis. Moreover, weights of all indexes were specified. Exponential weighting statistical evaluation was applied for quantification of single index. On this basis, the collected data were standardized and their role and interaction were analyzed by using multivariate method, integrated and evaluated. Evaluation objects of roof greening ecological effect were appraised comprehensively through qualitative analysis (dominant) and quantitative analysis (secondary).

Suggestions on Strengthening Greening Construction of Ecological Residential Areas

Greening construction is an important part of the construction of ecological residential areas,but there exist some misunderstandings in greening construction of ecological residential districts at present.Based on the description of functions of green space in ecological residential areas,the summarization of principles of greening design,and the discussion of questions in greening construction of ecological residential districts,some suggestions as well as specific measures for strengthening greening construction of ecological residential areas were proposed to promote the healthy development of greening construction in ecological residential areas.
